A bloody scene lay out before her, Raina looked around at the couple cringing away from the band of attackers. The men wore navy blue suits with black shirts and red ties.
It was the easiest way to recognize them. And recognize them Raina did: Reckoning. It was so strange though, the Johnson's had never presented any traits of having future sight, it had probably been breed out of their bloodline. Still, they had been keeping an eye in them, just in case. Especially with the upcoming sixteenth birthday of their child. He was close to coming of age, and he'd quickly begin presenting signs if he held sight unlike his parents.
Speaking of which. The girl watched on as the hunters easily overpowered the man, shooting him several times in the chest before doing the same to the wife. After a few minutes of assuring they were dead the men moved further into the house and Riel could hear them speaking amongst one another.
"The boy is not here!"
"It doesn't matter. Plant the bomb and let's be out of here before more of them show up! No doubt they'll soon know what we've done. The boy will die in the explosion and it will destroy the evidence. We'll be long gone."
With a small gasp Raina sank to her knees for a second. It was still a bit of a shock when visions she didn't call for came to her. However she had little time to gather herself, James was in danger he was in great danger and she knew instantly why she'd seen what she'd seen. Raina had never met James' parents, but she'd seen them here and there, at parent nights and school functions so she knew what they looked like. Turning the girl took off down the street. School had just ended, so she hoped to beat James home and save him. It was a shame. He was going to turn sixteen tomorrow. No doubt he'd had plans for some cute little party at home with just his close friends and family.
For a moment she became distracted by the thought of how cute he was before she shook her head and began running faster. She had the advantage of being in a rush, James would be taking his time, she had a good chance of beating him. Another image flashed through her mind, James was already home. He'd already seen his parents. His house came into view and she quickly ran inside and found him reaching for the phone. "Don't!" She cried, reaching out and placing her hand on top of his. After a moment Raina blushed slightly and moved her hand away. "They've rigged the phone. It will trigger-"
She stopped suddenly as another vision flashed through her head. "Get down!" The girl cried as she grabbed onto James and pulled him to the floor, the blast resonating through the house, bringing a good portion of it down. Raina was dazed now and her ears were ringing but they were alive, and surprised. She'd been wrong. In her vision they'd clearly rigged the bomb to the phone. Had they planted two? Had they changed it? How could she have been so close to getting them killed? Realising she was still on top of Blair the girl blushed before jumping up to a squatting position. Raina looked around before looking down to James. "Come on," the girl encouraged. "You need to get up. We need to get going."
Name: Raina Channels
Bio: A relatively quiet and misleading girl in appearance, Raina is your common 'model student'. She does well both academically and in sporting endeavours. She has many friends and is fairly popular in school. However this onset of popularity and academic excellence is a relatively new thing and what people don't realise is that it is all due to her ability to predict the future. It is an ability that has been in her family for generations, and develops at the age of sixteen. She's had her eye on one boy in class in particular for a long time now, long before her ability to see the future began to present itself, but had still been tasked with the duty of watching over the unknown Seer in case he began exhibiting signs of developing his abilities. Being part of the bloodline she was, Raina's parents trained her from an early age in many forms of combat, both hand to hand, martial arts and armed. She excels in her speed and agility, though lacks in some physical strength aspects boys her age may present.
