I'm the smoothest motherfucker alive. But first, some background.
My dorm room number is 404. The room directly across the hall is 405. 404 is an all-male room, and 405 is all-female. That's the way pretty much all rooms are in this building. 4 people to a room, each room unisex, though the hall as a whole is co-ed. A pretty standard set-up these days, but that's not the point.
Since our doors are right across from each other, we've made it a silent running gag thing to write humorous messages to each other on dry-erase boards attached to our doors. It got to the point that I drew a Futurama Fry meme on our board that said "Not sure if 404, or 405's jokes are funnier."
Just today I came back to my room to find one of them in the process of writing a message. It said "Roll a charisma check to see if your jokes are funnier than 405's." I briefly said hello, told her my name, and that I play Pathfinder, a game very similar to D&D, so I understood the joke. After she had gone inside, I wrote on our board:
"I'm a level 2 Rogue, I got this. I rolled an 11, and my Charisma modifier is 2. What did you roll? Also, I'm gonna roll again to invite anyone from 405 over for coffee. A 19! A critical success! Let me know when you're free."
