Yo. If you're not familiar with Wolf's Rain as an anime, here is a brief synopsis of the show: Anime News Network : "In some distant future, it’s common knowledge that all wolves have been extinct for 200 years. However, it seems this is false as wolves have not disappeared but rather have taken human form. Kiba, a lone wolf, wanders into a city, trying to sniff out the Lunar Flowers that are supposed to lead whoever follows the scent to paradise. The source of the smell is Cheza, a girl who sleeps in what appears to be suspended animation in a lab. She and the wolves are drawn to each other, and Kiba hopes to find paradise once he finds the source of the scent of Lunar Flowers. However, once Kiba finds Cheza, she is kidnapped by a mysterious person called Darcia, and his search begins anew. Before he leaves the city, he meets 3 other wolves, Tsume, Hige and Toboe. All four wolves have very different personalities and ideas, and their friendliness towards each other is a little rough around the edges. However, they soon band together to continue to search for paradise."
For those of you familiar with the Anime, maybe you felt as I did when it ended. Tragedy x(
The worst ending to an insanely beautiful and riveting anime. I guess that's the trademark of all great animes? Bad endings? Damn Japanese animators and their inability to tie a plot nice and neatly together.
So what I want then, is a slightly non-canon Wolf's Rain roleplay that seeks to capture the beauty, eloquence, and tension that the Anime reflected (until the end), except let's make a better finale, yeh? What I mean by slightly non-canon is that all the same elements in the anime would occur in the RP; the quest for paradise, Nobles, apocalyptic Earth, the theme of balance between life and death, Wolves (obviously) the flower maiden-etc.. With these elements as a loose framework for the story and character interaction, I'm sure we could make a kick ass story.
I'm thinking Low Advanced to High Advanced, and I'd like two Co GMs to help steer the storyline, with one acting as a benefactor/guide to the main group of roleplayers, and the other the antagonist to them all.
So if you're down, show some support and leave it here :3 Maybe we can get this ball rollin, yeh?
