So I may or may not get hung for making another RP so soon after my last one seemed to die D: But it'll be aight.
Here's my idea:
A world where spirits roam, many gods make life either great or miserable, and humans are stuck somewhere between them. It'll take place in your typical fantasy world landscape. I plan for it to be mostly sandbox, but I may come up with a plot after we get the ball rolling. Here's some creature feature.
Gods are pretty much the same as Greek and Roman gods. They look like unnaturally beautiful humans, are eternal (as in they can't die), and they each have their own castle/palace/magnificent dwelling. They each have a certain duty, love having half babies with humans, and usually have some sort of spirit following. Examples:
The god of nature: May live in a giant forest in a bigass castle made of trees or some shit. Their spirit followers would include forest spirits, water spirits, rock spirits, animal spirits, ect ect ect.
Here's a list of gods to choose from and what they are in charge of)
Nature (plants, animals, water, land masses, seasons, ect)
Light (The sun, moon, and stars, warmth, knowledge, and purity)
Darkness (The night sky, all things evil, death, and corruption)
Beauty and love (Reproduction, fertility, love, and decorating the earth)
Music (Celebration, joy, and beautiful sounds)
Gods (The god of gods. He's the one that knocks heads together when the other gods get out of hand. He also rules over humans. Has no power over spirits.)
Feel free to make up more, but run them by me first.
They are immortal creatures that usually have some sort of elemental theme to them. They usually stick to their own territory, but some live nomadic lives depending on their element. Some resemble humans, some resemble animals, and some resemble plants and objects. Or any mixture of the three. Hell, some even half multiple forms. They can be killed by gods, but it's usually starts shit with the other god the spirit belonged to. It's like killing someone's dog, you know? They can also be killed by magic, but it'd have to be pretty powerful magic. Here's some examples:
Fire spirit: May look like a living flame, or maybe a person who has flames for hair. Or even an animal that has flames for fur. They would probably live somewhere hot, like a volcano, and due to the destructive nature of their element, would probably enjoy fucking shit up.
Forest spirit: May be a humanoid with bark for skin and leaves for hair. May be an animal-like being that resembles those that live in their forest. They would probably have a particular forest that they call their own and tend to.
Free spirit: Yes, it's a thing here. Looks can vary. They would be one of the nomads mentioned.
You get the point. They could even be more abstract, like a spirit of Spring, a spirit of Joy, or a spirit of Goodwill.
These unfortunate motherfuckers are at the bottom of the foodchain. They spend their time trying hard to make a living, growing food and hunting, all the while trying to make sacrifices to the gods and spirits to keep in their favor. If they want to travel through a particular forest, they have to make a sacrifice to the forest's spirit. If they want good crops, they gotta go prey to the nature god. It seems like every which way they turn, they have a god or spirit looking for a handout. And if that's not enough, half of the gods have half human kids that run amuck.
Some humans can practice magic, but it is frowned upon by both gods and spirits. Frowned upon as in their likely to kill you if you're caught doing it. They don't like when humans try to mimic their powers, therefore, all magic is considered dark magic.
That brings us to demigods. Demigods are the result of horny gods getting bored and messing around with humans. They live very long lifespans, but are not immortal, they have a lesser degree of power than their god parents, and they tend to like rubbing their half godness in other people's faces.
So, anyone up for it?
