Name: Sarah Covenry
Appearance: At forty one Sarah is starting to come to grips with her impending age. At five foot one she's somewhat tiny and has a few stray strands of grey in her chestnut hued hair which she keeps dyed a dirty blonde and has grown out to reach her shoulder blades. More often than not she keeps it tied up atop her head, anything to make herself appear taller. Her skin is still mostly smooth, save for her dimple marks and the beginning of crow's feet. Thanks to a high metabolism she luckily hasn't had to deal with obesity but the dark bags under her eyes and poor posture are something she's been working to correct with a new jogging regimen, one that includes running up staircases. (Which, apparently is twice as efficient as regular jogging.)
How they roleplay: As a Games Master or GM for many years on the tabletop Sarah is an excellent impromptu storyteller. She realizes GMing is not just about planning out a storyline but in analyzing the backgrounds of the player characters, inserting plot hooks based on them, and watching the reactions of her players and adjusting the narrative based on what she reads on their faces and in their body language.
Generally, Sarah watches GMs and the flow of the story and tries to support it rather than casually trying to railroad the story in her own direction. Her preferred genre is fantasy, though she enjoys just about all manner of settings and has a decided love for cross-genre stories but understands that they rarely work. The only thing she finds infuriating are high school stories. They always fall apart the moment the story enters a classroom. Why their GMs don't just skip the classes she'll never understand.
Bio: Sarah is old enough to now understand that what you are told when you are young is not the reality that comes later. The idea that you can make your life into whatever you wish it to be? It's all hogwash. It is simple hype, like fans and sports players making grandiose statements before a game to increase their positive outlook and increase the odds of success. The honest truth is that you are with every year, every decision you make, reduced in the choices made available to you and some choices boxing you in more than others.
Sarah had a truly shitty childhood, with an absentee drunk father and a mother that twisted words and was as verbally and emotionally abusive as her father was physically abusive in the rare times he actually spent time at home without sleeping. Thrown out of her house on her eighteenth birthday she bounced around living off of welfare, barely got through high school and then almost made it through college before her boyfriend at the time cleaned out her accounts and left her with no money to finish her studies.
Since then she has mostly been doing the retail scene, using role playing, movies and video games to escape the harsh reality that is humanity.
Other: Sarah has played a few games of airsoft and is a remarkable shot thanks to taking a rifle class in Christian Bible Camp as a youth.

Name: Alexander Bridge - Username: Icarus
Appearance: Usually too lazy to shave, his face usually sports some kind of hair, be it peach fuzz or a full blown beard and moustache. In spite of this, he always keeps his brown hair cut short to keep it from obstructing his already poor vision, which he wears thick glasses at all times to correct. Fairly tall and lanky at 185 cm and 80 kg, he usually prefers casual wear when he's sitting at home on the computer; a pair of jeans and a graphic tee, anything else is optional.
How they roleplay: Sandy, as his friends call him, always liked a good story, and he sees the site as a way to be a part of telling a good one. Sometimes it works out, others it doesn't. C'est la vie. While confident in his character development and ability to see and advance the plot, he's not very confident at all in the consistency of his post length, and so sticks to the more challenging areas of Casual rather than jumping into Advanced. With regards to Genre, he tends to go into more science-fiction oriented affairs, though isn't shy of delving into more traditional and otherwise fantasy settings. While he likes intellectual characters, his favourite archetype to play is the turncoat; the hunter turned monster, the bad guy turned good, and vice versa.
Biography: There really isn't that much to be said about the history of this University dropout. He did well enough in school until then then later fell victim to a short attention span and various hobbies. He's usually stubborn and strong willed, but this is offset by the fact that he's usually quite knowledgeable; it makes him a little less annoying to hang around. He has little patience for anything that doesn't involve either his entertainment or his sustenance, and when he is roped into a task, he likes to have it done in a way that he never has to do it again. Hopefully, though, a jaunt through the Guild's multiverse will help change this attitude for the better. While he prefers to explore the settings of others, he has written a few RP scenarios of his own, though only one ever made it past a few pages.
Other: Though living alone, he maintains regular contact with his family and friends; they will know something's up if he stops answering calls or otherwise goes missing.
In a world beyond controlling...
...are you going to deny the saviour in front of your eyes?
Name: Mostly just goes by Minnesota or Minnesota Nice.
How they Roleplay: Minnesota usually Roleplays in Casual and treats RPs as games, which they should be. He usually plays as someone who isn't all that smart but gets by using some other ordinary attribute such as physical strength or courage. He doesn't mind playing villains in the story since he finds that it comes easy to him and usually plays morally corrupt or flawed characters if not the villain of the story. He never plays the cliche hero since he finds them dull and hard to imagine himself as. His characters are usually the ones to be the first to leap into a fight and one of the last to leave, his favorite part of a RP is the action since the fighting possibilities in an RP are limitless. He does occasionally have his characters socialize but he prefers to be in the fray of the fight than in the sidelines watching and chatting.
Bio: Minnesota is, for a lack of better terms, an average bored teenager. He never had problems in Academics and has had a fairly easy life. While some look at his achievements and think that his life must of been hard; the truth is that most things come easy to him. He's pretty lazy despite the fact that he does so many extracurricular activities such as sports. He's a pretty standard Jack of all Trades but master of none. He's not at the top of his class due to the fact that it would require actual studying and he's not the best at his sports since there are others that are more dedicated to it so he sits comfortably at being proficient at most normal things but not at a level really worth bragging. He joined Roleplaying Guild since he was bored and didn't want to do anything he deemed 'productive'.
Other: Minnesota can be pretty lax and careless when stuff doesn't matter but if something hits home for him, he can suddenly turn very competitive. Also has a rather peculiar view of morality due to the fact he doesn't believe in a Higher Being so some of his actions may come across as those of a jackass while others are deemed selfless.
Name: Nautilus Prasetya
Appearance: Nautilus is a male Indonesian. His skin is brown and never gets brighter as time passes, probably due to living in a tropical country with plenty of sunlight. He only shaves his beard when other people tell him so or start getting annoyed. He shaves his moustache regularly, however, and he also keeps his hair short because it looks very ugly when it's long. He wears thick glasses, the magnitudes are -4 on his right eye and -3.75 on his left. He is 170cm tall and weighs 60kg, which is about average for Indonesian males.
How they roleplay: Nautilus is new to RPGuild, but he's done a few roleplays with his friends over text messages during the past year. However, since he has only roleplayed through text messages, which have length constraints, he hasn't managed to post as lengthy as most other roleplayers in RPGuild do, although he's not a one-liner. He roleplays in levels between the higher standards of Free to the typical mid-Casual level. His grammar is not among the best, but at least he always wants to improve his English.
As for roleplaying preferences, he prefers alternate history, science fiction, and sometimes he also does superhero roleplays as well. For the alternate history, however, the closer the changes in altered history are to the present time, the more likely he is to do one. Playing as the hero, anti-hero, or the villain doesn't matter much to him; however, he prefers to be "one among a few equals" rather than to be the single most important protagonist/antagonist character. He doesn't do smuts that are often found in 1x1 roleplays, though.
Bio: Nautilus is a college student spending his third year. He is a mathematics student, and is fairly good at his studies. In a major consisting of many stereotypically weird students, he always believes he is normal, although it may or may not be accurate. He often answers "roleplaying" when he is asked about his hobbies, despite his minimal experience, since his other activities normally doesn't last long.
He doesn't like to tell much about his bio, however, especially about the contents that can be put into a CV, such as education, achievements, etc, which is frequently asked to him even in informal introductions. To get around those, he often uses metaphors or ambiguous sentences when answering questions he deemed sensitive, not only about things that can be put into a CV but other sensitive or private things as well.
Other: Nautilus carries at least one pen and one sheet of paper anywhere he goes, although that doesn't mean he takes notes of stuffs around him. Normally he carries them so that he can do some math, especially as his friends often ask him about math homeworks.
Name: Elizabeth Jones
How they roleplay:
Elizabeth has many hobbies, roleplaying being one of them. Introduced to it by an ex-boyfriend when she was 16, she has been roleplaying on and off ever since then whenever she finds the time in her busy schedule to do so. Some people watch tv to relax, Elizabeth roleplays. She is of mid-Casual level, though could be Advanced if she really likes the plot/characters and is particularly inspired. Her preferred genres varies with her mood and what she 'craves' at the time, though she usually likes anything related to fantasy, horror and the occasional slice-of-life.
Elizabeth is the type of girl you don't notice straight away. You'll find her sitting in a corner by herself reading a book or sketching on her notepad. She is quiet, but only because she likes listening more than talking. She rarely starts up conversations and doesn't like being the center of attention. She only lets a select few get close to her but she will stand by them no matter what. Her close friends know her as a kind, compassionate and loyal friend while strangers misunderstand her reserved nature as being snobbish.
With busy parents, Elizabeth was mostly left to her own devices as a child but she turned out relatively normal and showed logical decision-making from an early age. Though, she is not perfect and has made a few mistakes that she regrets, she believes in one motto: "Everything happens for a reason." She has a younger sister that she wishes she could strangle at times, but she still loves her dearly. Her relationship with her parents isn't the best, but she has a constant need to fulfill their desires and make them happy, resulting in her leading a sheltered life.

Name: Simon de Bakker
How they roleplay: Simon recently got into the whole text based Roleplay thing. He was used to Roleplay in games and also did LARP (live action role playing), though he never really thought of the forum kind of roleplay. Eventually his fantasies and stories started to spread in his mind and he decided to look one up. He simply saw the Guild and simply joined.
Simon has already tried to GM several Roleplays, though most died before they got even started. He usually aims for Casual because it enjoys him the most and there are the most participants for that. Roleplaying is both a game and a way of storytelling for him.
While he prefers Sci-fi and fantasy, he doesn't scare away from Steampunk and modern day things. What he doesn't like are Roleplays based on real life (High Schools and such) and fandom roleplays.
Bio: Simon is currently in school to become a History Teacher on high schools. While he doesn't have friends there that are has geeky as him, he does have plenty of kind at the Larp Weekends he is going to twice a year. This is also his biggest hobby: Creating costumes and sharpening his weapon skills just for that.
He goes to sword fighting lessons twice a week and has been doing so for the past 9 months. In his free time Simon usually plays video games, play some guitar or hangs out with his friends in the city.
With his jolly and optimistic behavior, it isn't hard for Simon to make friends, though he has the tendency to get into a discussion so now and then.
Other: Loving parents, many friends, some historical knowledge, capable sword fighter, basic guitar player, uh... yeah, that sums it up.
OOC Other: I'm dutch, hence the name. Apologies for the stupid picture. I'm not really... well on photos. Note that the sword is standing on a higher platform, and that I'm not holding it up on my own.

Name: Alice Barkhorn
Hoorah! Anime me(Thanks cousin)!
How they roleplay:
-Usually stays in the Casual Roleplay section, rarely going higher or lower.
-Focuses more on the story aspect of the roleplay rather than "winning" it by being the best
-Is open to a wide variety of genres, but particularly likes NRPs, Modern War themes, and Shit Hit the Fan and We are All Fucked themes.
-Characters vary from story to story, but rarely ever roleplays as the silent type.
Born and being raised in the state of Virginia, Alice is.... you know what? Writing in third person about me is fucking weird, so I'm writing this first person from now on! Anyway, like I said, I was born in Virginia and haven't left since. Based on what my friends have told me, I'm apparently an "odd, tomboyish girl" mainly because I would much rather spend my time at the shooting range than watch "Real Housewives of Orange County" or any show on Bravo for that matter.... I like to play video games a lot, (PC GAMING MASTER RACE!) and I can officially say I have more experience flying planes than driving cars. In school, I have a variety of friends I guess.... In terms of my social life, I can recognize that I have it pretty good compared to others, but I still try to include anyone who seems left out (whether they want to or not! >:3). The homefront has been rough though. You have my father, pretty much the best guy in the world, suffering from very severe Bi-Polar Disorder and my mother, who while has gotten better, obliviously suffers from Borderline Personality Disorder. In a nut shell, that means that she has an incredibly black and white view of the world and can physically not admit she is wrong, always blaming others instead of herself. Once again, things could be much worse, I get that, but that still doesn't help/change the fact that having divorced parents who can't be within 5 feet of each other (and live 40 minutes away from each other) can be pretty damn inconvenient and stressful on my life. Few, anyway I juggle my activities between the video game club at my school, my responsibilities in the Civil Air Patrol, and just school in general. Still I can find enough time in the day to come on here pretty regularly unless some BS happens with my family or otherwise. I consider myself a critical thinker and someone who firmly believes in "Question Everything" (Thanks to my dad, who is a pretty big skeptic).
Well that's it for me to toot my own horn. First time I had to make a short bio for myself XD
Other: Did I mention I like guns? Cause I looooooooove shootin things..... a lot..... like, almost as much as my love for flying.
Attention to those I RP with! Due to some bad home problems, I will not be able to post significantly for awhile (maybe a week or less, maybe). So I leave it to the GMs to decide to let any of my characters go or move one without me. I totally understand in any case so please, don't hold up the story just because of me. I hope I can return to the Guild with a working computer soon and a less than hectic home life. Until then, Good luck to you all!
FNORD! Hail Eris! Hail Discord!
Shout out to my cousin for the pics! <3
Name: Dante Quentin
Appearance: Dante has a vast multitude of nationalities that pour into his race (Mexican, German, Italian, French, American etc.). He has a light tan and dark, oily hair, that appears black, despite the fact that it is truly just a very dark shade of brown. His choice of clothing frequently involves a black hooded sweatshirt, an italian style hat, and a pair of jeans. He weighs about 160 pounds, mostly in muscle, and stands at 5'9".
Imagine his face resembling Dante in the newest DMC game.
How they Roleplay: Dante prefers the superhero genre as far as his experiences go, despite the fact that he desires to branch out. Without cooperation, which has been most of his experiences in RPing, his posts are in the range of 800 to 1300 words per post. While he has dabbled in 'Free' and can technically be found under 'Advanced', the games he's played are summed up as 'High Casual.' He always gives his beat to resolve disputes between players or be helpful when he can.
Bio: Born in 1997, Dante was raised by his parents, a father named Dante as well, and a mother named Esther. He was born in Columbus, Ohio and would move across the city many times, changing schools over eight times up to his Junior year in High School. His hobbies would consist of reading, writing, drawing, and acting. So naturally he found a comfortable niche in the school's plays and other productions.
But he endured several hardships previous to starting his free ride in High School. In the 4th & 5th grades, he was often mocked by the other children for no reason in particular. Throughout his early childhood, his father (who had once been a drug addict) often fought with his mother and was arrested many times, only to be released days later. However, when Dante was eight, his mother and father got into an argument in which his father went to prison and his mother went to jail before being given house arrest.
During his mother and father's incarceration, he was sent to Michigan for the majority of a year to stay with his grandmother and grandfather, before returning to Ohio to live with his mother. Months later, his father would be released from prison, which was a day that Dante would consider one of the greatest of his life. Afterward, Dante's family would move across the city of Columbus on an almost bi-monthly basis. Eventually the family would move back to Michigan, only to be greeted by ill-manners, a financial crisis, an emotional tribulation, and Dante would be driven to consider suicide a rational option.
However, his family would yet again move to Columbus, Ohio. Here, he'd finish out Middle School, along the way making friends and losing them just the same. And he'd discover that his IQ was 146, literally making him a genius. Emotionally, he mellowed out and stopped considering if he should kill himself or not. And he'd also discover that he would find a new hobby: Roleplaying.
Through his most recent summer vacation, Dante spent a respectable amount of his time writing posts for a website called 'Roleplayerguild.' Some days he'd sit around bored and other times he made the mistake of treating it as a substitute for Facebook. But into his Sophomore year, his free time has begun to wane, and so has the amount of time he has been posting. But, he has put forth an effort to post more frequently and branch out of the superhero genre and the circle of friends he often played with.
Other: Dante is known on The Guild as 'Nightrunner,' and chose the name based on a comic book character from a group called Batman Inc. He has an intense passion for Batman and other superheroes of the like.
