Maggie hummed to herself as she washed her dishes, the few she had dirtied anyway. She frowned. The house, without Mr. Jared was very, very dull. She sighed and looked out the window. It was about mid-day, just after lunch and the sun was shining down through the trees onto the stump where she'd met Mr. Jared. She smiled at the memory. She'd always enjoyed the scenery around the house. It was so peaceful, so serene. I know, I'll go sit in the drawing room and finish my scarf. She smiled and put the dishes into the cupboard. She turned around and walked over to the drawing room. She sat down, picked up the scarf she was making and felt sad again. She'd started making scarfs for Jared and gotten hooked, but now she had no one to give them to. Making scarfs had been a way for her to pass the time. Why was she even making them now? Never-the-less she continued, humming as she did.
