Wizards 101: Intertwined Destiny OOC
Seraph stood silently on the streets of Henryville, Georgia he had only been here for five minutes now but it was obvious that he was already uncomfortable. Darting his eye's nervously in each direction, he spotted downtown which in reality was a small shopping street filled with a tool shop, a grocery store named Will's Grocery, a couple or more fast food restaurants that had not been there 15 years ago, a couple other stores that Seraph did not recognize. Down the other half of the street was the residential section of the small town, there seemed to be a lot more houses then Seraph remembered, the town had definitively grew in his absence, an there was now a lot more people in the town, he could see the large masses of walking people going about their lives. Seraph silently looked down, the leather wrist holder was in plain view with his wand sticking out of it, it would probably draw unnecessary attention so he needed to conceal it. Taking out a thick wad of cash he counted it out, Ambrose had given him some money to go in with, how Ambrose got this much money Seraph did not know, or want to ask to be honest with himself. Seraph was a bit surprised to find he had over five hundred dollars, that should be enough to last his time here. Even though Seraph was from earth he had been gone a long time and was unsure how much things cost now an days, he would have to play it by ear. Seraph walked down the road absently as people passing him by shot him glances that could only be described as awkward glances, while he was not wearing anything from the Wizard realm in plain view, he was guessing his flaming red hair or tattoo's were drawing the stares. In the Wizard Community tattoos were more common among the older wizards, but in that realm they held so much more meaning then here. Seraph's own tattoos symbolized Honor, Integrity, respect, an his dedication to his school of learning. Not that these people would know that, but the glares made him rather uncomfortable, sticking his head in the opposite direction Seraph came to a clothing store named Teen World clothing, one of the stores he did not recognize.
Walking in her almost immediately smelled the aroma of strong perfume, and in the background was music that sounded quite heavy. Walking in further the employees were all young teenagers on what appeared to be small phones, they barely paid him any attention so he walked to the back of the store and looked through the cloths, all he really needed was something to conceal his wand. He came across several different items of clothing ranging from large black hoodies to designer trail blazers. Taking off a blazer he tried it on, the sleeves extended down past his leather wrist holder, so this would be good enough for now. Walking back to the front he came to the desk removing the blazer and setting it on the counter. The young employee looked up from her small phone and eye's Seraph who merely reached into his pocket and pulled out the cash. The employee seemed to look from him, to the money, to his wrist with his wand on it. Looking up he caught her eye, seeming to come to her senses a bit she picked up the blazer and scanned it.
"That will be 50 dollars sir... cool knife by the way."
Seraph had a rather confused look for a minute before he realized she must have been referring to his wand.
"Thanks.. its an antique."
Seraph spoke lowly as he counted out the bills until he had fifty and he silently gave it to the young employee who took it and started to ring it up on the register.
"Your not from around here are you? Are you on the lamb?
"Ummmm I do not know what you mean by on the lamb but yes I just got in to town, I am visiting for a short time. Forgot to bring my blazer with me."
Seraph just lied as the young girl looked at him doubtfully, but she just printed out a small receipt and handed it to Seraph who thanked her lowly and turned walking out of the store, her eye's on him still watching him. Once outside Seraph tore off the tag for the blazer an threw both them an the receipt in a near by can. Putting the coat around his shoulders he covered his wand. With his wand concealed he now drew his attention to finding Victoria, the only problem was Ambrose did not tell him exactly where she was, just that she lived in this town still, apparently her magical essence blocked even him from finding her exact location. Seraph started to walk forward as he walked through the small crowds of people, he was still getting looks, it was such a new thing to him to be stared at, for no one stared in the wizarding world. In that world you were just another Wizard like everyone else, he had forgotten what it was like to live on a planet like this, and for good reason in most cases.
"Mr.Seraph is that you!?"
Hearing his name Seraph turned out of surprised, his eye's hit a young man who he instantly recognized as one of his former students from Wizard City. As the younger man ran up to him Seraph gave a small smile having meant someone he actually knew. Before he could react the boy wrap his arms around Seraphs waste and gave him a huge hug. The boy was about 5,5 with brown short hair and green eye's that still had a sparkle, an was still pretty small compared to Seraph, giving the boy a hug back, he let go as he was smiled at.
"Jeremy it has been almost five years, you have grown so big now, what are you sixteen seventeen?"
"I am sixteen now Mr. Seraph, wow I never expected to see you walking down the street! It has been so long sense I was in one of your classes!"
Seraph smiled at the boy, he had been an exceptional fire student when he was still in class, however as most of the time with many students he had returned to earth. The thing was sometimes it was harder for some to leave home for such long amounts of time, and even thought students were always home on earth holidays, some just got to homesick and returned to normal type society. Jeremy had always talked about home, but Seraph never knew he had lived in Georgia like him.
"I know Jeremy you have been quite missed by Madame Falmea, she talks about you often and hopes some day you will return to continue your studies."
"I would love to do that one day Mr. Seraph, but I am quite curious as to why you are here on earth again Sir?"
"I have some business here to take care of, although I must admit I am a bit out of my league for I have not been here in almost fifteen years now."
Watching Jeremy the younger boy must have been thinking about something and then out of nowhere he spoke enthusiastically towards Seraph.
"Hey maybe I could help you Mr. Seraph! Why don't you come over to my house and I can try to give you a hand with what ever your doing. I am pretty sure you don't have a place to stay as of yet, and my parents would love to meet you! I have told them all about you."
Seraph was a bit surprised at the sudden invitation, he was going to refuse because he did not wish to be a burden on anyone. But Jeremy was right he had no plans or a place to stay, an he was virtually lost on what to do at this point. Besides he knew it would break Jeremy's heart if he said no, an who knew maybe Seraph would chance upon Victoria or maybe Jeremy knew her from somewhere. It was worth a shot, and it was way better then being here both blind and dumb at the same time.
"Ok Jeremy I would be happy to meet your parents."
Jeremy's face lite up with anticipation as he motioned for Seraph to follow him, both of them walking towards the residential section of town Seraph felt a bit better about being here, not much but better.
