Spoilers in the hider:
It is the last day of August of the year 2013 and it is the opening stage of the Sekirei plan developed by HMTAI INC. and their chairman, also known as 'The King', Magoichi Hanabi has been watching with interest in the proceedings. This night he stands atop the clock tower in the center of the city of Tokyo in which he has based his HQ at in order to get closer to 'the action'. It has been two weeks since the opening and the release of the sekirei into the world to be winged. There are 108 Sekirei to be winged and to fight in this battle of his to find out who shall 'ascend' with their ashikabi. Out of all of them only thirty have been winged by their ashikabi. However there has been some interesting turnouts as it seems that there is already members going after un-winged sekirei and or trying to eliminate them from the game before the winging could happen. Regardless as the cold air rushes around Magoichi he can't help but wonder why this is going so slowly...he was hoping that this event would go faster...regardless that what he got for trusting David for doing things. He insisted on keeping the ashikabi from telling the public at large about it. Magoichi stands on the top of the tower looking down on the city that has been going under a slow take over from his company. Soon the city will be his and the government will be powerless to do anything about it. This may be the capital of the Japanese nation but he hardly cared about that. He'd get his way...he always did.
He didn't need to look back as he faintly heard the footsteps of a man coming from behind him. A man in a white coat that matched his hair. The man who referred to himself as 'The Bishop', David Summerset. "Magoichi you really should dress warmer." David said stepping up behind Magoichi not going towards the edge. It was unsafe and it made him feel uncomfortable. He wasn't even half as crazy as to stand so close to the edge as his partner in crime. Magoichi chuckled at the casualness of his tone. Had it been so long that they could drop all the meanings of being 'business' partners? "Last time I checked you weren't my father." Magoichi said chuckling to himself as David grunted and scratched his head. "Really? Because you could have fooled me after cleaning up half the messes you've made. The reason we're standing here is because of my quick thinking." David said lightning a cigarette in his mouth as he waited for Magoichi to stop laughing. "You still haven't changed have you? I've done a lot of work myself if you're not forgetting!" he proclaimed as David breathed out a puff of smoke.
It was a habit the man had for a long time now. "Now then why are you up here?" Magoichi asked David who rolled his eyes at his partner's tendency to get on his nerves, "We could at least talk a little you know it's my break I could do a lot more shit besides talking to you up here and you just want to get to the point?" David said as he inhaled more of the smoke from his cigarette. Magoichi wasn't to surprised at this point the two of them had been like this for as long as he could remember, "Of course you jerk... We're on a tight schedule and all you do is make fun of me...it hurts my feelings you know." Magoichi said pitifully as if he really was hurt. He wasn't. David let the fumes once more come out of his mouth as he acknowledged Magoichi's question, "Well get over it...I came up here to say this: The take over of Tokyo is going as planned. However there are only thirty sekirei winged and there has not been a single elimination of a winged sekirei. There's been a few un-winged sekirei removed by parties but nothing else. That's what you get you know for letting some people get unfair advantages." David said as he watched Magoichi who stayed silent. That worried him...Magoichi loved to talk about stuff like this. Why wasn't he doing so? "We-" he started but he was silenced by Magoichi who held out his finger, "Just go back downstairs David. I'll get back to work soon after I make a few calls..." Magoichi said as David frowned at him, "'Calls'? What does that mean?" David asked as Magoichi shook his finger as he still gazed over the city. "Nothing old chap! Just take that at face value and go do your job as I'm doing mine as 'The King'." Magoichi said as David's frown deepened but he nodded and walked back downstairs oblivious to the smiling face of Magoichi. Despite the coldness that surrounded him this beautifully dark night he couldn't help but smiling. "Let's see if I can speed things up..." Magoichi said reaching for his phone...
The next day Monday September 1st...
It was the afternoon of the first month of school for the kids of Tokyo Japan. However in the college known as Saito Hajime University a young man named Brandon Hunter, a boy from America, was just getting done class for the day. It was 1:25 in the afternoon and his classes were evenly spread out through the week. He was getting paid from scholarships he got from America and his parents were sending him money that he was exchanging for yen every time he needed money. This day is a warm beautiful day and it seems that it was going to be a good one as Brandon exited from his classroom. He walked down the hall way to a student lounge area and sat down next to a group of friends, four in total. Some were from America and they had bonded over that fact.
There were two Americans Andrew Smith, a rather large boy with a slim build and brown hair who played a mean game of basketball, and a smaller but somewhat well built kid named James Denys whom came from a wealthy family. The other two were from Japan; Kaito Oda was a math genius, with a rather average build whom sported black hair and tanned skin, but he loved a good game of paintball which was how they had met. The other was a young man named Tadakatsu Yoshida whom was the most average out of the bunch but was a nice guy whom had befriended Andrew. He was a brown haired boy with a more pale complexion to the other guys who loved video games and science. However Tada was a gifted tech expert and was more than able to pull his weight in contests. "Hey guys what's up?" Brandon Hunter said as he flopped down next to Kaito who pushed up his reading glasses and frowned at him, "I wasn't studying or anything Brandon." Kaito said in a unfriendly manner but it was sarcastic as it always was. The two of them never had a real fight out of the paintball ring. "Sup Bran?" said Andrew with a smile as the other two said hello with a passing off expression as they were both engaged in a fierce pokemon battle. That was another quick about his friends...they loved pokemon..."Don't get to excited guys! So anyways how was you're first days?" Brandon asked casually as the Andrew said his teachers were assholes and Kaito said his were the usual. Brandon's teachers were as usual pretty decent people but they were slave drivers. "That's normal man don't worry about it. So did you get stuck with any jerks in class?" Andrew asked as Brandon shrugged saying he really didn't. "Yeah of course there aren't any most of the losers were weeded out and sent into the manual labor sectors...Sucks for them but I'm not sorry about it." Kaito said unapologetically as usual. Brandon and Andrews however were pulled in by Tada as he shouted at James whom had lost his main pokemon to a lucky hit.
