Oh dear Maker, it had all gone wrong.
Talbot told her that it would work. That the Templars would understand that they didn't want to be ruled as viciously as they were. "It's going to be okay, Ambra." Talbot told her, smiling as he comforted her. His bright green eyes were beginning to shine with bloodlust. With revenge. "We'll avenge those who we have lost. I promise you that. We'll avenge Gregory and Tomas and... And Maria..."
Maria had been his wife. The man was young, only eighteen when he had married. But now he had been twenty five... And he shared seven years of love with his dear. But then she was impaled on a spike for practicing "blood magic". Which she never did so...
Talbot had become an abomination and slaughtered about two dozen Templars before he finally fell. He had gotten what he wanted. The rest of Ambra's friends... They were all dead. Decapitated, nearly sliced in half. She had prayed long and hard that this was a dream... But it wasn't.
She had taken to hiding in the apprentice's library. She was cowering under a table, hands against her face.
Oh Maker, why had this happened?! The Right of Annulment was a horrible slaughter, and one where tears would be shed for the mages later on.
Templars had come in a while ago. One seemed new, since he was whimpering and looked very nervous. Ambra felt sorry for him. Was he really that afraid of mages? The second, however, made her wary. His hand was on the hilt of his sword, and his face was very serious.
Something told her to fight.
Her fingers twitched, and she made a movement for her staff that was strapped on her back, but it seemed the rustle of her fabric caught their attention. Her eyes widened and she lowered her hand. No. She would not fight. She would be as bad as the maleficar if she fought.
"Please..." she whimpered, crawling out from under the table and holding up her hands. Ambra was a short woman, with long amber hair and eyes as pale as a shallow ocean. "Mercy on me, sers... My friends... They have all died... I am sorry... I didn't do anything wrong... Don't kill me, please..."
She must seem pitiful, but she was truly afraid. Her eyes became flooded with tears as she waited for their answers.
[I like Francis. He's cute. XD]
