The Story Thus Far:
Guao Kel'or was a relativity minor fringe world as far as the Terran Dominion was concerned, known only because of it's relatively substantial contribution to the vespene gas industry. This made the recent sttention received by the Dominion particularly suspicious.
A few months ago, a small team of Wranglers were sent to the main colony after reports of psionic citizens which may have remained under the radar, intent on inducting them into the ghost program - now that the memory wipe technique had come into use, such late 'recruitment' was signifficantly less problematic in their training, conditioning and control. This was disguised as an investigation on the current mining operations and general colony facilities however during a tour of a new branch of the former their interest in the gas became suddenly more earnest.
The Dominion Team had uncovered what could well be a formidible source of the psi-enhancing gas known as 'terrazine', a rare and valuble resource in the Koprulu Sector for not only the Terran military forces. While the investigations on potential psionics were never abandoned, their focus was turned to the development of the terrazine mine in secret and the establishment of a more miltarised presence there.
However this secrecy was somehow compromised, garnering the attention of a nearby, renagade Zerg broodmother and her underlings. As they prepare for the main assault the Terrans have only realised their danger recently, leaving little time to prepare defences though there is currently a small force of Dominion soldiers in transit to the colony on Guao Kel'or.
Detecting this sudden surge of Terran and Zerg activity, a number of the Protoss have been attracted to the system and are preparing to purge the planet however this has been delayed by Zerg offensive tactics as well as an investigation of the source of this interest.
1. Every character has an impact on the plot, environment and general consequences of actions in the game however:
- I am the 'overseeing' GM. In the end I will settle these sorts of things if they get out of hand or such.
- Other disputes will be settled through the use of dice (D6 or D12)
- Keep posts consistent and within the confines of the IC reality and your character's abilities
2. Grammar and spelling - Mandatory. I understand the occasional screw up or if English isn't your first language but if I get the sense that you aren't even trying (or use LEET speak, ever) you and I will have a problem.
3. No Mary Sue/ Gary Stu characters or obviously overpowered characters, please. They ruin the fun for everyone and break the narrative.
And 'Isn't good at following orders' is NOT a legitimate weakness, at least not one that justifies ridiculous strengths. Kay?
4. Multiple characters are allowed and even encouraged. You may bring in smaller, NPC-type characters to support your main ones if need be.
5. The style is casual but I would appreciate if we tried to keep it on the higher end of that. Posts at least a well written paragraph, though certain situations may warrant exceptions, and try to be descriptive.
6. Fun and creativity - Mandatory. If you refuse to have fun or use your imagination, what the hell are you doing here?

Character Sheet Template
Name: If you're a zergling "3rd monstrousity to the right" is acceptable - I just wanna have a way to identify the character quickly in posts.
Race/Species: If you're a Zerg I suggest you also include strain in this section. Infested Terrans should mention that they ARE infested here, also.
Age: Again, for Zerg 30 minutes is even acceptable. Everyone else, make it logical for your race and background/experience/position
Occupation/Position (if applicable): What do they do for a living? What rank are they?
Current Affliation: There's a lot of factions in the Koprulu Sector, which one do you support or at least tend to side towards?
(these should just give us the general idea of their capabilities, simply sepparated from the other descriptions to save space and so I can easily check that you're staying within the bounds of their abilities. There is always room for IC improvement/development)
Speed: A general idea of how quickly they move.
Constitution: Physical and mental toughness.
Strength: Raw physical power for lifting, jumping and fighting
Dexterity: Balance, hand-eye coordination and reaction time
Intelligence: Mental midget or brain bot? Scope of understanding, education and analytical ability
Instincts: perceptiveness and intuition.
Presence: Charisma and interpersonal abilities.
Body and Mind
Physical Description: How do they look and are their any psyciological things that stand out? Try o=for a paragraph or two, pictures may be added if you desire but do NOT replace a sufficient, written description.
Personallity: For zerg I don't mind if this section is a little brief. A paragraph or two on your character's mindset, fears, feelings, goals and general reactions.
Background/History: This doesn't have too be too detailed as I'd like most of this sort of thing to come out in the IC but at least a paragraph or two. At least give an idea of what you're doing on Guao Kel'or.
Tools and Tricks
Psi level: Psionic potential and control. Here's a handy guide to the Psi Index:
1-2: No psychic powers
2-5: Limited powers. Can sense the psionic potential and powers of others, most often.
5-8: Telepathy and similar, most ghosts fit in here.
8-10: Formidible/advanced powers. Telekenesis and other more exotic, potent powers become available around here.
Skills/specializations: What are they good at? The D6 guide has a very ncie set of skills to choose from I think we should largely stick to but we can always have wiggle room.
Simply an idea of what they know and can do already.
Psi Abilities (if applicable): Again, the D6 guid and the wiki are good resources for this. Creativity is encouraged, of course, but no going overboard.
Equipment: Guns. Ammo. Vehicles. Novelty hair clips. Whatever you feel should be mentioned that they have up their sleeve.
I will post my own character (psionic mechanic Terran colonist) shortly as an example.
