Eight years ago, a clinic in a remote area of New Mexico began buying or even abducting children for their studies. Over the course of these Eight Years, they took 12 children in all. Despite varying in gender, age, and background, they all had one thing in common. All of these children were born with psychic abilities. The scientists at the clinic took them so they could study them and determine the source of these abilities, in order to synthesize them for mass production. The scientists were relentless in their studies. The children were forced to undergo many difficult trials in an effort to trigger their latent abilities. Forced into high stress situations, often while under the influence of illegal psychotropic drugs, again and again and again. As results became evident, the tests only grew harder, pushing these children to their mental and physical limits.
After a few years , enough was enough. The children had had enough, and began to plot their escape. They were not allowed to socialize with each other for extended periods of time, but they had other ways that could not be detected. Communicating mind-to-mind with each other, the children formulated their plan. They were going to break out, even if it took all they had.
The remote clinic where the children are being held is owned and run undercover by MotoChem, a private pharmaceuticals company. It is very plain on the outside, resembling a military base or prison, complete with double rows of tall fences topped with barbed wire surrounding the perimeter. It is a simple white squarish building made of concrete, three stories tall above ground, with two basement levels, making for a grand total of five floors. The ground floor is a simple lobby area, mostly empty except for a couple of tables, some vending machines, and restrooms. The children are kept in the basement levels. B1 and B2 is where they sleep. Old exam rooms have been converted into sparsely furnished bedrooms for them, one patient per room. Each floor has ten rooms, and the layout is somewhat like this. The second and third floors are where the studies are conducted, the layout is similar to the layout of the basements, except with more clinical supplies lying about. The children are locked in the basement area at all times when they are not being studied, and they are always escorted to the examination rooms by the scientists who study them. There are 20 scientists total, 10 on the night shift and 10 on the day shift. Each floor has a control room, with televisions with live feed from security cameras all over the facility. This way, the scientists can study the children even in their down time, as well as make sure they do not try to escape.
All of the psychics have the same abilities, just to varying degrees. The sort of powers they possess are things like telepathy, telekinesis, astral projection, clairvoyance, precognition, retrocognition, pyrokinesis, aura reading, clairaudience, transvection. The children develop these abilities to varying degrees, and may be very developed in one or a few of these abilities but weak with others. For instance, one may be strong in aspects of the abilities which relate to emotion, yet weak in those more relating to physical elements. In addition to psychic abilities, some also develop a heightened intelligence, to such great extents as to give them a photographic memory, or the ability to predict outcomes accurately through recognition of intricate patterns of cause and effect. There are limitless ways these abilities can manifest in an individual, so you can have fun with this.(It's Encouraged that You make Your character Original and Different from the rest!)
