Secrets of the Immortals: Rise of the Earthlords RP
After Danu Talis, or what we call Atlantis, was destroyed after the legendary Marethyu used the Four Swords of Power, the world settled with peace, temporarily. Earthlords, a race of creatures who lived from the Time Before Time was crawling back from the timeline to restore the power they once had, and in that case, rising the Nameless City into its greatness once again. After the death of Osiris and Isis, their auric energies released much power to destroy the shadowrealm the other earthlords were sealed. Now, they are roaming in the streets, preying on humani as it turns out to be a living nightmare for all person existing.
The untold story of the legendary twins has resurfaced.
After Sophie Newman and Josh Newman went through a lot of troubles in order to save the world from the ravaging Dark Elders; met a lot of living myths and stories they thought did not really exist, experienced the horror of magic even if they didn't not believe on it, and time-traveled back to 10 000 years ago along leylines and shadowrealms, they thought everything would be alright then after they defeated Osiris and Isis, and Josh, who was then called the Marethyu, sunk the home of the Elders—Danu Talis—they thought everything would be fine.
But it's just only the beginning.
The destruction of Danu Talis and the death of the only-known living Earthlords destroyed a realm deep down the core of the earth, where the most vicious and cruel Earthlords were sealed by power. This caused them to wander freely around our the weakest shadowrealm where they can loot for souls and treat for hunger: our world.
Sophie Newman, who was now twenty-eight, wed and had two children, realized the fight was not yet over, as the world is soon facing the darkest nightmare they could ever have. She fled to Ojai to consult the old but still powerful Zephania, the Witch of Endor, and she told her she was given a prophecy by Abraham the Mage in her reverie:
"Seven of which the shadow of the light,
Shall fight in the pillars of a nameless land.
Seven of which the savior of the world,
Would be the one to destroy another."
Sophie was on her feet to search for the seven who holds the key of what could happen next in the future of the race of humani.
Races: Earthlords, Ancients, Archons, Elders, Humani
From the Time Before Time, only the Earthlords were known to exist in the famous Nameless City. Deemed to be the world's first scientist, they created such artifacts that leaned on power by using magic to function. Some of these artifacts were considered evil, and most were already destroyed by the great Tsagaglalal, Zephaniah, and Elder Prometheus.
Coexisting with these race were the Ancients, who were known for their skills in architecture and deep knowledge of a futuristic technology. Their greatness were once put at the Grand Library of Danu Talis, which includes all the researches and discoveries of their time.
Archons, who later followed the living of the Earthlords and the Ancients, also inhabited the Nameless City. There are twelve of them, considered to be great scientists whose weapons of power weren't distinguishable from magic or science. From the wiseness of their ancestors, they developed their technologies and used the Four Swords of Power to fashion the leylines and the shadowrealms which were used as a form of transportation in contemporary times. They were said to be once good-looking, but after doing experiments with their own body, they became monsters. Some time later, a war happened between these three races and the energies released from the fight disrupted the leylines.
Elders, a race that rose after the Archons, then brought out the Danu Talis from the seabed. Upon its creation, it was constantly assaulted by the ancient races, but then they were defeated, and the empire of De Danann was created. They lived in the island for at least thousands of years, before the Twins of Prophecy fought above the Pyramid of the Sun.
Ten thousand years ago after the Danu Talis sunk back to the seabed, a shadowrealm emerged. It was the earth: home of the humani. Humani, in simplier terms, human, were considered to be powerful beings who was less inventive and knowledgeable and artistic and diplomatic as their ancestors. They lost their strong senses and became normal creatures crawling on the crust. Awakening a humani may cause harm to his body; may even cause death, but once he is able to control it, he could be anything.
The Book of Abraham the Mage
The Book of Abraham the Mage, sometimes called the Codex, is a 21-pages metal-bound book created by Abraham the Mage which contained all the knowledge of the world. Various spells and prophecies can be found inside, and what's written was a language predating the race of humani, and once looked upon, one can recognize its character are freely-moving and changing and inconstant. A curse, however, was put on the book, that Elders were not able to touch it, nor look at it freely, while their next generations can only look at it. Humans are able to do both of them, while it is unknown what's the effect when an Earthlord or an Ancient or an Archon touches or look at it.
History has stated about the guardians of this book. The last owner of the book was Dr. John Dee, who stole it from the couple Nicholas and Perenelle Flamel, only to make the prophecy happen. However, at this timeframe, no one knows where the book is located, nor who keeps it from harm.
This is a serious problem.
[I will put what's the content of the book later.]
Awakening and Magic
Awakening is an act to enhance the senses of a humani, and to make him control his own aura. Aura is being used to perform magic, but one should do it with care because everyone has unequal capability of using their own powers. Every person has a unique color of aura, and has his own scent. The twins of prophecy has gold and silver. With this, one can perform the most powerful form of magic: elemental magic. At first, it is thought that the magic of air, earth, fire and water respectively were different, but as one realizes how to use all of it, it's just the same. Once aspect, however, Aether magic, is a different one, which compromises the capability to control all strands of time and space.
There are also low forms of magic like scrying. This is used to see through things that are happening somewhere else. Scrying can be done from any vessels, like animal's eyes, water, mirror, or others.
There are also high forms, most of which are dark, like Necromancy. This is a form of art that involves communicating with the dead, summoning them, and using them for fight.
Four Swords of Power
These swords were artifacts of the Earthlords that were used once to create leylines and shadowrealms. These were namely Clarent (Fire), Excalibur (Ice), Joyeuse (Earth), and Durendal (Air). They were merged back then into Marethyu's hands to form the Hook of Aether, but after 10 000 years, they were here again, hidden in some deepest chamber of our world.
The Sword of ice, Excalibur is 48 inches long and has dragons engraved on the hilt. It has a red diamond on its hilt that gives it is's power. Known users include King Arthur, Palamedes, Mars, Josh Newman, and Dr. John Dee. Anyone it hits freezes. This sword killed Hekate and the great tree Yggdrasil and thus ended up destroying two other Shadowrealms; Asgard and Neflheim, as well as destroying the gates to six others.
The Sword of Fire, or the Coward's Blade, has a red and black blade, other than that, it would be impossible to tell the difference between Excalibur and Clarent. When Clarent's blade is in use, it shows the user memories of Clarent's past relative or unrelated to the one that. Clarent was once used by Mordred to kill King Arthur.
Joyeuse is the Sword of Earth, which is known to have been carried into battle by Charlemagne. It crushes mountains and makes people tremble.
Durendal, the Sword of Air, was used by Roland. Durendal can also make powerful tornadoes with wind speeds of over 315 mph. It is also known as the indestructible sword
Welcome to the Role-play!
This is a role-play based on Michael Scott's New York bestselling series, The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel. Basically if you read the six books, you'll know what I'm talking about in the first place. But if you haven't yet, don't worry cause you don't miss everything for this RP. I just stated what I think relevant, and if you want to clarify some things, then just ask me.
I would want to know who wanted to join first, and if you're willing to use some of the OCs. (OCs includes Sophie, Zephaniah, and other Elders which we know in myths like Mars Ultor, Odin, Hel, Prometheus, Niten, and Aoife, Scathach, etc.)
