Both as a kid and as my current age, I have always loved Dragons. When people told stories of men slaying monsters, I always stopped everyone to say, "What about the dragon? Was he gonna be ok?". I grew up on the stories of humans murdering dragons and monsters, and every single time I was more fascinated with the monster itself, rather than the all-mighty human who had conquered them. I want to be one of the people to change that view. One of the people to change the image of dragons, one step at a time. And here is one of my many steps.
I have decided to propose a roleplay. Not a roleplay that will die, or fail, or be caught short for so long that it dies anyway...A roleplay that will live. I have always started roleplays that have never made it off the ground. I want to make a roleplay that will last, unlike the countless ones I've made that didn't. I've only ever completed one rp thread all the way from beginning to end, and even then, it was on another website. But if I could do it on a website full of nasty individuals, trolls and mean-spirited roleplayers, I can do it here if I really put my mind to it. I know I can, and I want others to have that satisfaction of ending a roleplay, too.
Dragons are seen as nothing more than another monster. Something that should be killed before it eats the livestock and burns the houses. Something that is nothing but a mindless killing machine. But little do humans know, they are wrong. Dragons are by far the most complex of all animals, both in mentality and anatomical structure. Dragons are much more than what people see. Dragons come in countless breeds, colors and sizes, and with each individual dragon comes a new personality unlike any other. Dragons are a true symbol of power, creativity and greatness. We are going to take a look into the lives of dragons, somewhere in Europe, where they reside in the many forests, mountains and lakes. In Medieval England, where such stories of knights and dragons sprung, we will document the rise and possible fall of the world's most magnificent animals.
We will not exclude humans from our stories, however. There will be attacks, raids, and during incredibly rare events...friendships. Some humans may hold a fascination with dragons that is unrivaled, to the point where they will put themselves in danger to discover, learn and let their passion grow. If we are lucky, we may find a select few, or even just one, that will shape the way we look at dragons...forever.
