Hey-oh. So, I've been thinking about this for awhile, basically it's a world of peace, where mobile suits aren't used for huge wars. It'd be a bit like G Gundam, with Mobile Suit competitions being a sport, the competitions can be ranging from ball sports, martial arts, mock combat, etc. It wouldn't just be Gundam-style mobile suits, I'm thinking that mobile suit technology from different generations and cultures would've intermingled and give rise to several types and mix-n-match mobile suits. From cockpit style to bodysuit style of control, depending on the character. Yeah, maybe ridiculous, but it's supposed to be fun.
I was thinking about a character who'd keep vying for the school's official team, but has no luck with it. His family runs a dump for mobile suit parts, breaking down the materials and selling them to manufacturers to make new suits, and he makes his own suit from the parts that he finds. But he's not a skilled combatant, even though he wants to be part of a winning team, any members of the roleplay would be part of the team (fighters, technicians, strategists, managers, etc.). They'd start participating in lesser competitions and build up their strength, and mobile suits, while trying to make it as the school's official team. Again, it's kind of a ridiculous premise, but it's supposed to be more fun than logical.
Also, and this idea is also coming mainly from G Gundam, but I like the idea of people bearing crests of certain titles. In a time of war, they'd be passed from teacher to student and be very significant, but they don't mean as much in times of peace and anyone bearing one doesn't necessarily have to be significant. But, of course, the members of the roleplay would bear crests as part of a team.
So, this roleplay is, again, meant to be more fun than logical, though I would want certain things to have explanations, even if it wouldn't exactly apply in the real world. Like young students having access to enough money to power personal mobile suits, or transportation to move them to games, or the ability to keep them repaired and whatnot. If that makes sense, of course.
Would anyone be interested in something like that? I'm not looking for a super difficult roleplay to run, though I would understand people needing more information to wanna join. Just let me know if this type of thing interests you enough to help out, I'd appreciate anyone who wants to help.
