She had always been weak, stuck always in the wheelchair for almost as long as she could remember. One day however, she was caught in the crossfire between some notorious criminals and the police chasing them, one of the police's mobile accidentally slamming into her as it skidded down the road. Serena was still conscious during that time, but somehow felt disconnected, strange, her vision rather hazy as if seen through a foggy glass. Her head turned, to see her arm bending at an unnatural angle. Her last thought then was about whether she'd be cremated or buried somewhere.
She woke up to her grandfather staring, or rather glaring, at her. He left as soon as she woke up however, leaving her to wonder why he was there. The question was soon answered as her father came in however; the old man had spent a lot of money on her, arranging for the latest cybernetics to be installed. Serena was still missing an arm however, as the original was... turned to jelly in the crash, and the new cybernetic arm was still being calibrated. She did not mind as much though, for the first time in her life, she can finally stand up, and walk like everyone else. It was something she had once only dreamed about.
She still sucked at walking though, as evidenced by her crash into the table within five seconds of standing.
After being released from the hospital, her father began to take her on exercise runs, presumably to get her used to her body and to tone it up. She couldn't exactly exercise much in a wheel chair. Running from place to place, occasionally climbing up buildings, even those she didn't really believe was possible. Serena didn't really pay to much mind to it however, her father was her father and he seemed to be uber excited about her walking about, so she played along. Plus running about from place to place was fun. And then she found out her father had stolen her arm in the middle of the night, and installed this retractable blade about the length of her own forearm. Serena could have still dismissed it as a case of obsessive father behavior, if not for the recording she found in his room.
Cheerful, quiet, and very soft spoken, she is often the voice of reason to her family, as her father is rather impulsive, and her mother was her mother with a protective streak as wide as the ocean. Serena often tries to be as friendly as possible, and refrains from saying anything that is unneeded. Easy to get along with, she doesn't really care much about how people look like or how different they are from other people, unless they are dangerous to even approach. She has a soft spot for animals, and rather dislikes people who mistreats them.
A hidden blade in her cybernetic left arm.
She doesn't have much of an experience in fighting, but her cybernetic enhanced body can move faster than most, has more strength than normal people, though she also weights more than normal.
