Why, hello there! It seems that over the course of the past month or so, every other RolePlay that I am in is either dying or simply slowing down to the point of two posts per week if we're lucky. I do not hold this against the other writers, of course. I understand as well as anyone that we all have lives behind our computer screens that need to be tended to. But that does not ease the ache in my fingers for some good writing. I have quite a bit of time on my hands and writing is my happy place. Not being able to write saddens me, so I have found myself here trying to list what I look for in partners and what I'm into. (Wow, that sounded incredibly kinky, haha) So, here goes my informal list:
Do's and Don'ts
Posts with detail - I'm positive that this is already quite explanatory, but I will tell you that I don't like it when people nod their heads and say "Oh! I got it!" and end up filling their posts with meaningless bullshit that is repetitive and dull simply to meet any word/paragraph count that I may have provided. I also prefer writers who are able to read my post and pay attention to each detail and respond accordingly.
Literacy - I understand that everyone has a few typos every now and again. I know that I certainly do. But please, try your best to spellcheck everything and make sure that your grammar is at least decent. I do not want to spend twenty minutes trying to decipher your post because I can't understand what it says because of terrible grammar and spelling. I do, however make exceptions to grammar when it is how a character talks whether its slang or simply an uneducated character. That is my only exception. I also do not tolerate "txt tlk" nor do I put up with "L337 5P33K". Please, for the love of all that is holy (or unholy, whatever you're into), write as though you actually paid attention and did well in your English classes throughout school.
Smut - I am 19 years old. I do not mind heated situations, provided that my partner is 17+. All of my [main] characters will be 16+ and I do expect at least a few of them to get involved in adult situations and I do not mind that. I do have some exceptions to this. I don't do taboo smut. Beastiality, Ageplay, Incest, or any of that gross stuff. So please do not throw up a Stepmom/son suggestion.
Romance - Huge fan of romance! Whether it is the driving force of the story or just something that's there, I fully expect some sort of romance to be there. Romance. Is part of life. Anyways, the romance between characters could exist starting off with the story, but if not, please do not be one of those people who do "BAM! Love at first sight" and then make the whole plot about them hooking up.
Character Development - Who doesn't love developing their character? I know I do. One of my favorite parts of writing is when events of the story force a character to become someone entirely different than what is written on the character sheet. I think that having a character remain exactly the same in every way throughout a story is just plain dull.
Canons and OCs - Quite normally, I'm as against Canons as can be due to experience with writers who know little to nothing about the canon they are playing and do terrible, awful jobs of impersonating them through their writing. I'm usually more of an OC girl myself with Canons tossed in as NPCs for Fandoms. If there is a Canon that you would love to write for and you think you have what it takes, shoot me a PM and we will work it out. Otherwise, OCs are the way to go! I also am not opposed to OC x Canon relationships and I have many ideas for some of them.
Cursing - Not against it and I really can't say "Don't go overboard" because if your character is the type to say Fuck after every other word, then who am I to say "Change that!"? But, if your character is going to swear, I really hate reading "bull$@*&". Don't use symbols to cover up what they're saying. Just. Don't.
Taboos and D/s - So far, this site seems to be the worst about them - Every other 1x1 Interest Check revolves around taboo sexual relationships. They creep me out, personally. I do not and will not ever partake. I make exceptions for Supernatural couples (age wise and within reason), but as mentioned before, I don't do Stepmom/son, Gang Leader/hostage, Neko/Owner, Master/submissive, or Horse/girl situations. I really don't see the appeal in them and thinking about it just makes me want to vomit. Writing about it cannot be healthy. I'm not into writing so you can fap.
I suppose that's all that I look for when it comes to writing. As far as partners? I just ask that you are literate, attentive to detail, and have the cajones to tell me whenever you're getting bored or would like the change things up a little bit instead of just tucking tail and vanishing. I do not mind creative criticism and I do appreciate it. I don't mind my partner contributing ideas about the direction of the story. I actually love not having to carry all of the weight myself. What I do not like is when people simply vanish without warning because they got bored or had a writer's block. Not cool. I should note that I usually play females and will only play a male in a doubling situation.
Now. What do I like?
✯Marvel - The entire universe. I do mostly mutant characters, though. I have several, and I do mean several, plot ideas for this one. I'm more into X-Men and Avengers (ever since the comics<3), so my stories may include them more often than not in some way, shape, or form. I don't mind doubling.
✯True Blood - Surprise! Another Fandom. I have not yet had the pleasure (or the money) to read the Sookie Stackhouse Novels yet, sadly. I don't mind OC x Canon pairings in this one, though, if you are familiar with the show then you know that there is a lot of swearing and adult situations within. I'm sure that a plot of some sort could be worked out, as I have a few of my own that I'd love to try out.
✯Pokémon - Alright, alright. That's the last of the Fandoms. There's plenty of plots to be worked out here and there. Be warned, however, I do not write as Pokémon. I have tried before and it just doesn't click with me.
✯Apocalypse - Whether its a zombie apocalypse or one brought on by humanity's foolishness, it doesn't matter. What's more fun than a group people simply trying to survive and rebuild the world?
✯Medieval Fantasy - Who wants to go on an epic quest? I know I do! Looking for lost treasures, hunting for dragons, or tracking down wanted criminals. Stuff that just gets your adrenaline pumping at every turn of the story!
✯Supernatural - Vampires, Werewolves, and Faeries! Oh, my! Who doesn't just love a supernatural story? Its all the rave now! Or so I hear. Modern, Medieval, or somewhere in between.
✯Modern Humans - Getting through high school or college, simply living life. This genre tends to end up being a romance more often than not and just a "Slice of Life" sort of deal. But, if you have something else in mind, I'm open to it!
Eh, that's all I've got for now. But I'm open to any suggestions. If you like anything you see, you can comment here or shoot me a PM with the title being the genre you want. We can discuss plots. I look forward to writing great stories!
EDITue to my recent discovery, I am also open for a Fanfic based off of the show “Supernatural”.
