STORY THREAD HERE
Villain Killers is an RP designed to be comedic and to poke fun at any gaming and anime trends. The world of Agios is also set in the modern era, with magic blended in alongside current and futuristic technology. If comedy, anime and the modern era are not your writing styles, please do not apply. VK is supposed to be a lighthearted adventure, and I don’t want too much angst and depression bogging us down. There can be sad moments, but this story is overall supposed to be humorous. Please consider this before applying. Thanks, guys! <3
1. I expect certain things out of this story such as humor and jokes. Serious moments can happen, but this is not a serious story overall.
2. Villain Killers will have a lot of spontaneity and improvisation involved. Some planning can occur if we need to flesh out a direction for the story, but I don’t want writers controlling every aspect of the plot just to fit what their characters are doing. Which leads me to...
3. No god-moding or Mary Sueing/Marty Stewing. I will not hesitate to point out if your character is god-moding. I’ve RPed as Mary Sues in the past, so I can spot a Mary Suer from a mile away.
4. If you really feel you need to control someone else’s character for something minor like dialogue or an action, ask for permission first.
5. No controlling characters from fandoms that you like. We can make jokes to existing series, but fandom controlling is a no-no because it might encourage Mary Sueing. This is an all original characters universe. If you can’t make OCs for the life of you, I am willing to help you out. I have tons of experience creating and drawing OCs, so just send me your ideas and I can help you figure something out.
6. Perfect spelling and grammar isn’t necessary, but at least write within reason. I hope to compile this into a full story, and I don’t mind doing bunches of editing, but horribly broken and incomprehensible posts will not be welcome here.
7. One or two paragraphs per post, minimum. This isn’t the one-liners forum, but it isn’t as stringent as the advanced forum, so at least provide some meat for other writers to work with. I don’t have a problem with long posts either.
8. I want devoted regulars posting to VK! I want to see this story reach completion so others can read it and have a good chuckle at our characters’ adventures. If this RP fails, I will not be a happy camper.
9. New writers can join at any time. Just be sure to flow your characters into the story in a sensible manner.
10. Use this OOC thread for any OOC questions. The IC thread is just for the story.
11. I am the boss. What I say goes. I can be flexible, but I can also be strict if you push the wrong buttons.
12. And most important of all... HAVE FUN!
Agios is a world very similar to modern Earth in terms of technology and current advances, but drastically different by having inhabitants blessed with magic, skilled with weapons and martial arts, and possessing different strengths that Earthlings would only know of in storybooks. On the surface Agios is a peaceful world, but those who try to dig for more will discover a world full of corruption and questionable morals.
The reason for this involves the development of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs). They can be categorized into several different types; biological, chemical, mechanical, warfare, and occult. Any weapon that can change or eliminate a populace of approximately 100,000 or more people is considered to be a WMD. Agios’ numerous governments have secretly sanctioned the development of these weapons, threatening each other with their usage if certain demands are not met.
Agios is teetering on an extremely delicate political situation, and only one slip-up could send the world into doomsday. In addition, there exists a society of demons from a parallel world called the Nine Circles Dimension that seem hell-bent on leading Agios to its demise by enticing the world’s leaders to develop these five different types of monstrosities:
Utilize viruses and sicknesses to attack the human body from within, or drugs that augment a person's strength, speed, stamina, or other statistics to high levels.
Use lethal gases and deadly poisons to ruin entire bodies of water or to contaminate the air.
Machines, computers, viruses, and/or inventions that can be operated to eliminate mass numbers of people. This category includes mechas and computer programs that turn on their owners.
Warheads and covert weapons designed to instantly kill or terrorize entire populations.
Ancient and/or modern attack spells developed for destruction, or they can be magic amplifiers that boost ones’ magical capacity to godly levels, turning even an acolyte into a god of destruction.
No one knows why the demons are manipulating the world’s leaders to develop WMDs, and no one is brave enough to challenge the production of these WMDs out of fear of triggering Armageddon. Everyone is equally in the dark about the Nine Circles Dimension that the demons originate from.
New locations can be added as the story progresses.
A large land mass with strong industrial developments and a powerful hold over world politics with a very corrupt political system. Police forces and law systems are useless because everyone can and will be bribed. Tresanil is a key developer in mechanical and warfare WMDs, and some rumor Tresanil’s leaders to be the Matoon Guerilla’s supplier of weapons.
The largest metropolis in the world, even grander than Tresanil’s, with studies focused on computers and technology. Beneath the surface however, Focal Pointe is also developing weapons, combat vehicles and war machines in order to counterattack Tresanil’s forces and the Matoon Guerilla. Many people in Focal Pointe collect gadgets and are generally self-righteous nerds, although there are some decent people as well.
A city that does not welcome technological advances, instead embracing the study of magic and the occult. They live in the middle of a weaving forest, with the main school being situated inside the trunk of the largest tree. The people of Dilgir do not like technology and appreciate ancient history above anything else. Many have come to study ancient tomes and lost texts in the hopes of finding an Occult WMD that can counter Focal Pointe, Tresanil, and the Matoon Guerilla’s power.
A shadowy and nomadic cult, always emerging when it’s least expected and launching assaults against peaceful populaces before returning to the darkness. They fanatically believe that they were the first inhabitants of Agios and thus are the rightful rulers of the world, and so they attack the other cities to wipe out entire populations. They specialize with chemical and biological weapons, and develop such WMDs at a frightening pace thanks to the continued support of demons that they summon to aid them in their campaign. It’s also rumored that Matoon is supplied with money and soldiers by either Tresanil, Focal Pointe, or even both.
A tourist beach and amusement resort that remains politically neutral from the other cities. It is the only major city in the world that doesn’t develop WMDs in secret, so it is considered a safe haven from the delicate political tensions troubling Agios. If Matoon attacks Yuval, their only option is to erect defensive barriers to keep out the poisons and chemicals that Matoon is notorious for.
The far southern mining facility where Adamas lived until a few years ago. The mine had collapsed due to an explosion that the public believes is an accident, but Adamas knows that it was destroyed on purpose. It is now under investigation and the public is not allowed to enter.
Also called the Nine Circles, or 9CD, this is the realm where the demons originate. It is modeled after the nine levels of hell seen in Dante's Inferno, with weaker demons residing within levels 1 through 5, greater demons in levels 6 to 8, and the hated King of Demons, Lucifer, resides alone in level 9. For some reason, a dimensional tear was created between Agios and 9CD, allowing demons to flow through and cause the human world’s decline. This dimensional tear has been dubbed the Big Rift, and no one on Agios knows where it is. Unlike other temporary, man-made rifts that last a minute, the Big Rift has been permanently forced open for unknown reasons.

Name: Ada Massey, aka Adamas
Age: starts off as 5 years old, but transformed into a 20-year old woman for unknown reasons
Race: Human? Demon?
Abilities: Adamas has absurd strength, and she will use her full potential when hunting villains. She is able to use martial arts, and also wields a naginata that obeys her mental commands, often using it like a broomstick to fly.
Weaknesses: Adamas sometimes misuses her strength at inappropriate times, causing frustration for others, but she doesn’t concern herself too much about it. Her biggest problem is that she’s hugely philophobic and will go into a frightened rampage to get away from someone who is making romantic advances toward her.
Personality: Adamas is a rough-mannered tomboy who doesn’t let petty morals slow her down from killing villains. When she has a target, she will go all-out to complete her job. Adamas is very laid-back and doesn’t let small things bother her, preferring to look at the big picture. She’s not concerned if she’s compared to the villains that she kills – she fancies herself as society’s garbage man. Likewise, if a villain gives her a “Reason You Suck Speech”, she will promptly shut them up (often with a quick, “Shut your face,” and then her spear shoved down their throat). She also has a very unusual habit of addressing herself as a man instead of a woman – she will make odd statements like, “Don’t you make fun of my manhood,” or, “I don’t know what it’s like to be a girl.” This mistake could be causing her philophobia, as she believes she’s a man in a woman’s body, so another man flirting with her will make her confused and nervous.
Bio: The city of Ivory Trench, on the planet Agios, was a mining facility devoted to extracting Agimite, a type of stone that is said to be the vessel for containing magical powers. The mining site evolved into a peaceful town over the decades, and people lived and worked there in peace, but were often at the behest of the mine’s wealthy and mysterious owners.
One day, there was a celebration to commemorate the mine’s endless bounty, and all townsfolk were invited inside the mine. However, the mine suddenly collapsed upon the hundreds of people inside, instantly killing everyone and ending Ivory Trench’s long history. In the future, historians would call this the Ivory Trench Disaster.
There was only one unknown survivor of that incident – a 5-year old girl who was inside the mine with her family at the time of the collapse. By some miracle, the little girl emerged from the many layers of boulders, rock, gems and debris that sunk the mine while wielding a naginata that she never had before, and possessing superhuman strength that she used to dig her way out of the ruined mine. Her appearance was drastically different too, as she was no longer a little girl but rather a 20-year old adult. Her personality had changed as well, turning her from an innocent girl into a snide and deadly avenger who sought the blood of the villains who had ruined her life.
The world was informed that an accident had sent Ivory Trench to its demise. But the woman knew the truth behind the mine’s collapse – there had been a suicide bomber inside the mine whom she overheard speaking to someone on a cellphone. However, she didn’t know who the involved parties were or why they wanted to eradicate Ivory Trench. She had no choice but to venture across Agios in search of the suicide bomber’s employer and anyone else who could be involved.
The woman couldn’t remember who she was just five minutes ago and couldn’t figure out why she transformed into an adult with immense strength. She didn’t let this get in her way and created the name ‘Ada Massey’, then ventured forth into the world to begin hunting the shadowy villains that had long since corrupted Agios’ influential forces. She had no idea that she was going to be slowly uncovering numerous conspiracies involving the development and shipment of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs), as well as the involvement of a demon race from a parallel universe. The world was slowly getting to know of the woman as an assassin called ‘Adamas the Unconquerable’, and she uses the name Adamas as her moniker now.
Name: Kilphy Nekomata
Abilities: Doesn’t use weapons, but is able to fly and use potent fire magic.
Weaknesses: Kilphy is not as depraved as Adamas when it comes to killing people, so she may hesitate when forced to make a difficult decision. She also has a weak spot for girly things like clothes, makeup, and her all-time favorite boy band The Pool Boys. If anyone pokes fun of her interests, they should be prepared to nurse some burn marks.
Personality: Kilphy is a decent and well-mannered girl, practically a normal teenager by anyone’s standards. She likes designer clothes, and is a huge fan of the boy band The Pool Boys (which gets on Adamas’ nerves). However, don’t let her genteel exterior fool you – under Adamas’ guidance, Kilphy has become a dangerous villain killer in her own right, although she contends with the morals of their actions more than Adamas does.
Bio: A few months after Ivory Trench’s destruction, Adamas heard of a facility where Agimite was being used to create bombs. She infiltrated the base and met a 16-year old girl named Kilphy Nekomata, a member of the Nekomata race. The Nekomatas are cat-people who are gifted with strong magical powers related to an element that they have a natural affinity for, and everyone has the surname Nekomata. In Kilphy’s case, she could use powerful fire magic. She and her great-grandfather Pyrogo Nekomata were kidnapped, and she was forced to imbue the Agimite with her fire magic, essentially turning the gems into magical versions of nuclear bombs, in exchange for Pyrogo’s safety.
Adamas killed the people holding Kilphy hostage, then they teamed up to rescue Pyrogo from an unexpectedly strong villain; an insane demon named Aym who wanted to cause total destruction with the bombs that Kilphy had made. After a vicious battle, Adamas and Kilphy managed to drive Aym back, but not before Pyrogo protected Kilphy from Aym’s attack, killing him. Kilphy vowed to avenge her grandfather’s death and asked Adamas to join her journey. Adamas accepted her as her partner, and together they uncover evil plots, destroy WMDs, and assassinate villains in an effort to uncover the truth behind Agios’ weapons development, why Adamas transformed into an adult with ferocious strength, and to let their loved ones rest in peace.
Name: Malim Rubica
Appearance: HERE (done by a good friend of mine)
Abilities: Malim doesn’t use weapons or magic, but is a man of science. Malim’s intelligence is incredible, and he uses his knowledge to manipulate the environment around him, such as using available guns, bombs, and poisons if he’s inside a weapons warehouse, or hacking into a computer network.
Weaknesses: Malim is a coward who doesn’t mind using others to do the fighting for him. He also has a bad habit of dreaming up overcomplicated schemes that could be done with a simpler method.
Personality: Malim is so bizarre that words cannot describe how weird he is. He is also very annoying. One could call him a troll – whatever you find to be annoying, he will do it to nauseating levels. He is a lot like Evil Otto; a smiley face that is out to kill you. Malim’s bad habits are numerous and confounding, with these are just a few:
- Emoticons in dialogue? Don’t get me started. xP
- Speaking in Japanese? He is the definition of genki!
- Confounding others with long words? He will find a way to insult you with the word ‘pulchritudinous’.
- Insulting your intelligence by providing facts and trivia that only he would know? This is what he thrives on.
- The fourth wall? It's shattered into a million pieces when he's around.
Bio: Malim is a demon from 9CD who is intellectually gifted and uses his smarts to make new discoveries and to assist in the development of WMDs. However, Malim is also a cunning bastard who is in the business just to make lots and lots of money. While he is supplying and developing WMDs, he is also trying to hinder their use by hiring spies and warriors to deter his employers. Malim is profiting from Agios’ political imbalance, but he knows that triggering Doomsday would be a Very Bad Thing, so he makes sure that things don’t get too out of hand.
Malim learns of Adamas and Kilphy’s plight to kill villains, so he approaches them on a regular basis and gives them dirty work, even throwing in as many details as possible so they can do their job efficiently. Adamas can’t stand his numerous annoying mannerisms, but tolerates him in order to find new villains to kill.
