They have lived in a viritable paradise that we created for them. We provided them with water, seeds, housing, and animals. Yet they never questioned what lied outside the walls we built for them. Most of them just woke up in a daze, one which you would expect to come from heavy drinking the night before. But one thing was different from said daze, they couldn't rember anything from their lives before. They knew the names of the animals we gave them, the properties of the seeds we sent, and the purpose of their housing. But they couldn't rember the names of their parents, their brothers or sisters, or even their favorite pets. They have faces of people they use to know but the names are fleeting from their minds. It tormented everyone we sent for the first few days, those fleeting names but faces they rembered.
Their world outside the walls we made for them is one of darkness, yet they live in blissful peace believing they are safe. It's this blissful ingnorance we must shatter. This will be the last day they live in a Mirage of Peace.
Well, there is my story right here. It is sort of a cross between several genres of roleplaying but I am not sure of any one it would fit perfectly into. The basis is that you guys play as people sent to an oasis made by 'Them' that has walls that are twenty five kilometers tall. You have been living here for what is estimated close to five or six years. You know of other oasises that are out there with people just like you but have never tried to leave your oasis and enter the harsh environment of the desert outside. Yet 'They' have cut off the water supply that runs to your oasis and in a few days your crops will die. They have stopped sending feed for your animals so they will die unless you wish to give your crops to them. 'They' have given you very little choice in the matter, now they are forcing you to find others and explore the world outside your oasis.
