So I am performing an experiment on which grows faster/better/larger etc. Bought apples or wild apples.
Luckily there is an apple tree in a woods near my house and so I got their seeds. And We had some apples from the store.
This was originally for a extra credit project for my class, but my teacher stopped any extra credit for some reason so I am still going on with it anyway. because why not?
Anyway I can already tell you that wild apples have all 5 seeds in them while bought apples only have 1-3 seeds in them. These apples are like granny smith or whatever btw, but anyway the wild apples were also smaller, but more moist than the bought apples. The are all obvious of course.
The seeds are in wet paper towel because seeds need lots of water to germinate. I heard it takes like a month to sprout or something? so Anyway since winter is approaching and being in Wisconsin in the winter doesn't help, I am growing them indoors for now. Does anyone know what I can use for artificial light?
In other news, part of the extra credit project was growing wild flowers or bought (Doesn't matter and I choose both.) and so when they grow and bloom and produce seeds, I am supposed to choose the seeds that were from the biggest and smallest flower/plant. Since I know nothing of growing flowers, do any of you know how and tips to give me? I am also growing these inside as well.
