Nessa Highmore buttoned up her uniform--a personal choice--swiftly before double checking her appearance in the mirror. Unlike the students at Sunrise Academy, this would be her first day. Starting halfway through wouldn't be easy, but she was sure she could handle it. After all, at her last school, she had found the perfect balance between people.
After another comb through curly, blonde hair, she let her mother drive her up to the Academy. Everything that could be intimidating about high school was staring her in the face.
