Angelica smiled to herself as she walked barefoot down the cobblestone streets of the village. This is the way she liked it, quiet, peaceful. Nothing, and no one here to bother her. This was the way she liked it. No glaring eyes staring down at her for being a gypsy. No girls and women whispering about her odd hair color. And yes it was odd, but Angelica loved the fire red locks that now cascaded down her back.
Angelica also had a very intricate tattoo that ran from her foot, on her left side, and up her body to stop at her waist. It twisted and turned in many different directions. It was the mark to tell the world what kind of gypsy she in-fact was. Angelica along with her grandmother Nona, where the only gypsies in her camp that had the gift of magic. They could both tell the future, and with some other limited magic, make things float off the ground. She very much liked being a gypsy. And there was nothing that would ever change that.
After a few moments of quiet thinking, Angelica came to a very bright colored tent at the back of the village square. She pulled back a flap and looked inside pleased to see that nothing had been stolen. Not that anyone would steal from a gypsy tent anyway. She stepped inside and removed the black cloak she wore to stave off the morning chill. Her white dress was a very stark contrast to her pale fair skin, and the fire red mop of hair atop her head. She shuffled thru the satchel she carried with her and pulled out the vile of herbs, spices, and various other tonics said to cure anything that ails you, and set them on a table.
After she pulled a small pouch with a few chunks of cut up fish from the bag and went to sit on the pile of pillows and other various cushions she had sitting on the floor. "Morning Kona." She said to the chocolate brown kitten sleeping on one of the pillows. The kitten mewed softly before raising its tiny head. "Brought you breakfast." She said with a smile as she pulled out a small piece and fed it to the cat. He mewed again with content from a fully belly and pressed his head against her hand as she sat back and waited for the days customers to arrive. "You know what Kona. Today, feels like its going to be a strange day." Angelica said as she sat back and watched as people started file past her tent and to their own shops.
So basically the story is about Angelica who is a gypsy witch. But she doesn't know the power that she has inside her. Your character is a prince who happens to come along to Angelica's tent to have his fortune told. Unlike the rest of the noble court, he doesn't have a problem with the gypsies clans that live outside the village square. While he was there, Angelica gives him a fortune that could make or break the future of the kingdom. What will happen? That is for you to decided.
Well there ya have it, the starter, plus a little background. I really love this idea and I've started it a couple different times, but it never seems to continue past one point. I'm looking for someone who can keep up the drama. Who can bring new twists and turns to the whole story. If that is you, go ahead and send me a PM, I'll check this every once in awhile, but after it gets past page 5 in the interest checks, it is lost to the words of time. So, yea. If you are interested send me a message. Please. :3
