Leviathan Military Academy
(A Third-year student in full academy regalia)
What is this game about?
This game is basically my take on what I think would make a successful mainstream anime series. If I had to compare to anything else, it's closest to Shingeki no Kyojin(Attack on Titan) with some influences from the Xeno series as well as a bit of Starship Troopers thrown in. You don't have to be familiar with any of these individual series. There's a little bit of everything for everyone. Mecha/Shounen/Dating Sim/Horror/Mystery/Monster hentai for anyone to relate.
What is Leviathan Academy?
Simply put, Leviathan Military Academy is one of humanity's last refuges at battling the immortal alien threat known as the Grimoire which I will elaborate on in a minute. Leviathan is all that stands between mankinds annihilation at the hands of the Grimoire. Srs business Indeed.
What are the Grimoire?
Grimoire are entities shrouded in mystery with a definite hostility toward mankind. The Grimoire exist in a unique dimension separate from the physical plane (or real space) called the imaginary space; therefore, it is normally impossible to come into contact with them. Strangely, despite their destructive powers and obvious sentience, they are mostly comprised of sodium chloride (pure salt); when translucent, they are composed of water and sodium hydroxide. If someone is touched by a Grimoire, they either die by breaking down into salt, or become Grimoire themselves.
Of course there are different types of grimoire with different attributes, they are categorized as such.
bug-types- These are the lowest form of grimoire, relatively weak, they can still kill though. (1st year students)
plant-type A step up from bugs, but still inconsequential as far as level of threat , they usually serve in support roles. (1st year students)
beast-type- The result of grimoire interracting with non-human animal lifeforms, may present some of level of challenge, but they're not terribly intelligent. (2nd years and higher)
humanoid-type These are the most common form of grimoire, these grimoire are more intelligent then that last three types and pose a challenge. (2nd-3rd years)
general- type These are sapient grimoire, a single golem can eradicate a small city. Only very powerful students are allowed to fight a general. (4th-5th years)
Ascended type These are elite grimoire who . If you see one, it's best you run. Only elite 5th year and the Heavens blade are able to confront Ascended (5th years-Heaven's Blade)
Arbiter's- Fortunately mankind hasn't encountered any of these so far, but there is evidence pointing to their existence. (Heaven's Blade only)
The only known method of slaying Grimoire's is through the use of Sword Arts and D-ITEs(pronounced Dai-tei) custom weapons specifically designed to fight Dai-tei's. Conventional guns and blades have no effect over the grimoire's. D-ITEs are devices capable of drawing out a latent energy source known as ether, which is essential at counteracting the Grimoire. There are all types of D-ITEs and styles of combat. Types of D-ITEs;
The color of the Dite is not random; different colors give different properties to the weapon. For example, Nina's iron whips uses black dite, which has good density with a decreasing conductive rate. Green and white dite is used for speed-based weapons, which was suggested for Layfon to use.
The Heaven's Blade: The most powerful Dites wielded by the "Heaven's Blade Receivers" all serving under the Student Body Council. There are twelve in existence.
- 紅玉錬金鋼（Red DITE）-Suitable for high impact, "explosive" ether users (striker build, rangers)
- 重晶錬金鋼 (White DITE）-Suitable for Internal Ether "restorative" users (medics, defensive fighters)
- 鋼鉄錬金鋼（Blue DITE）-Suitable for controlled, "sharp" dexterity based weaponry. (samurai build)
- 黒鋼錬金鋼（Black DITE）-Suitable for Strong Density Ether & "crushing""Low Conductivity users (heavy brute force types)
- 碧石錬金鋼（Jade DITE）--Suitable for High Conductivity "swift" Ether users (Ninja build)
- 青石錬金鋼（Sapphire DITE） -Suitable for Superior "psionic" Ether Conversion Rate users" " (Psychickers)
- 軽金錬金鋼 (Yellow DITE) -Suitable for High Conductivity "swift" Ether guns (Quickshot)
- 白金錬金鋼（Platinum DITE）-Suitable for "High Conductivity Ether and strength safeguard", bad for resistance, durability and regeneration. (Powershot, ideal for long-range)
- 複合錬金鋼 (Adamant DITE) -a synthesis of different and various DITEs (hybrid build)
The source of power for Military Artists. Ether users are special since they have an organ within their bodies that produces this energy and use it in many ways. There are different types of Ether, each with its own qualities. It is said that the "Heaven's Blade Receivers" have "monstrous" amount of Ether that makes even the strongest Ether users look pitiful.
[*]External Type Ether: Used for attack.
This Ether is used in the form of a blast to affect surrounding materials.[*]Internal Type Ether: Used for defense and regeneration.[*]This Ether is used to strengthen parts of the body during battle or to speed up regeneration. Layfon claim that it's bread and butter for Heaven Blade's Receivers to fight continuously for a period of days without getting tired or unfit for battle.[*]Psychokinetic Ether: Users of this Ether (who are also called Nen-I users) are able to communicate telepathically as well as move objects around telekinetically.
A person must be born with a special physical constitution to use this Ether, while the other two can be utilized by anyone with training and a certain level of Ether.
