Never been much of an Anime person, tbh... but I do watch some every once in a while that I think might be interesting, though they usually just leave me wishing I hadn't. But, I did give Attack on Titan a chance, and I'm already into episode 10 of it. I have to say, it's not as bad as a lot of the others. The characters just seem more genuine and realistic to me than most Anime where they are usually just over the top. This one is not much different in that some of the emotions the characters display are over the top.. but it is more purposeful, in that they have a reason to be THAT over the top. As where most just kind of.. "OMG ANGRY!" *Powerup moment* or whatever. Heavy emotions displayed in characters are usually just a reason to power them up somehow. But in AoT, there is both ups and downs of those and it is hardly for the more commonly used 'power-up' scenarios. I really liked the portrayal of fear in the series. Like the captain threatening to blow the group up after finding out Erens little 'trick' (avoiding spoilers). I have to give this a solid 7/10 which is more than I can say for most Anime series.
not to mention, the plot is pretty interesting as well.
Just figured I'd share... for those that may be considering watching it.
And to try and take focus from those Breaking Bad threads. We get it already. It was a great show. Move on. It's over. XD
