((Please tell me the same about yourself ^^ Also, please more than one sentence per reply. Maggie thinks she's too different for someone to love her... until she finds out that he has the same problem!))
Maggie sat in her room, scrolling through her online textbook. It wasn't any different from other days.
She was taking her classes online, like the government had mandated her kind to do.
It wasn't fair. They were the ones who had given her the damn ears and tail.
But high school students would be freaked out by it. It was "for her own good".
What would have been good for her would have been her *totally evil* aunt and uncle not giving her over for experimentation by the UK's government. They received a million dollars for it.
They were currently living in London. Damn traitors.
Maggie had this shabby apartment in Cork, and she was afraid to go outside. Not that she minded Cork. She was happy living in Ireland. But she wished that she wasn't so different. She wished that she didn't have to wear long coats and hats all the time to conceal her tail and ears.
Maggie put her computer aside. She needed some coffee.
She concealed herself in a proper black trench coat and a cute white hat. At least it was winter. Such attire was less passable in the warm months.
Maggie walked to the coffee shop at the corner, ordered a hot pumpkin coffee and a scone and sat down, rather bored. She glanced around at the other shopgoers.
