Summary: It's the Year 2085, mankind has reached a new evolutionary level in technology and science, leading the way to the New Digital Era. They had learned the existence of special spirits that had been around since ancient times that live in a separate world from their own, a spiritual realm that cannot be touched by normal humans, and is only revealed to spirits and their chosen.
These spirits have been given the title of 'Ghosts'. These 'Ghosts' would sometimes choose certain humans who have an exact match to their spiritual aura. These humans are known as the 'Chosen', and they are often taken to 'special' hospitals in order to learn more about the 'Ghosts' and their hidden realm.
Unfortunately for Kiyoshi Miyazuki, who appeared to be an average policeman in Tokyo, he has an fateful meeting with a runaway 'Chosen', Nena Mayland and her strong-willed yet rude Ghost, Renji, who he can see for unknown reasons. This was the only beginning, what dark secrets will they learn along the way and who is friend and foe in this dark dangerous world?
Rules: (Based on other people's rules. Since I don't RP often, I'm out of touch with the rules, so here they are. Please follow them. ^^)
1. No God-moding. An example is an instant kill move that wipes out the entire field. I won't allow this even you ask so don't even think about it. >.>
2. You can play either good, evil, or neutral characters. Your allegiance is up to you. Please be sure of your choice before submitting it, it will not be changed after you made you choice.
3. Don't drastically change the plot. It will make other people confused and end up with arguments.
4. You control can control yours and the characters of others members, However, You CANNOT control their fates. Such as making them unconscious/maimed/dead or injured. Only the member who owns that character can do those things. Anyone else cannot.
5. No 20 people parties please. Please make short parties so other people will not have problems trying to remember numerous members' Roleplaying characters.
6. When posting about attacking or taking action on or towards another person, you can control their reactions a bit. But you can't control their fates or their decisions though. Only the owner of the character can do that.
7. You can have events leading up to drastic plot changes. Just not too soon or too confusing.
8. You MUST describe your surroundings and actions fully.
9. Healing only does so much..... it doesn't heal you completely. And you cannot bring people back from the dead since it's not really possible. Example: Aeris in FF7.
10. For magics, be descriptive. Insert magic words if you feel the need to. People don't scream 'fire 1' and it works. It sounds a little too weird. ^^;
11. Magic can cure smaller wounds, but if your arm is hacked off, you can't really make a new one. ^^U
12. No racism nor discrimination to ANY member of the forums taking part in the RP.
13. No verbal bashing.
14. No cussing unless it's in your character's personality. But no hardcore swearing. We do have younger members.
15. Remember, these enemies aren't cake or easy. No one, no matter HOW strong, can tear through hundreds of people/demons without rest, help, or a ton of support from magics or etc.
16. Absolutely NO one hit kills that cover a large group. That isn't fun, leave room for others to play.
17. No use of word abbreviations like 'u' or 'ur' because I hate it. Also, type full sentences. Occasional misspellings are okay, because I do that too, but don't make it a habit. USE SPELL CHECK!
18. Please do not use Leet. That is forbidden since some people will not understand and be able to carry on with the story.
It is the title given to the invisible ancient spirits that have existed in the world since the beginning of time although they do have their own spirit realm that no human can enter without their help. The only records that speak of their rumoured existence are in legends and myths, but never had they been proven to truly exist among humans.
Until the New Digital Era, which created new technology that confirmed that they existed within special humans who have an aura almost identical to the resident spirit and also able to house not one but two separate souls within a single body. In return for their chosen human acting as a host for their 'Ghost', they are given special powers such as telekinesis, control over elemental properties like fire and water, and many more, depending on the ghost that they bound themselves to.
The reason for the 'bonding' is because 'Ghosts' cannot fully manifest in the human world unless they find a perfect host. For this reason, the hosts are known as the 'Chosen'. Ghosts cannot take control of their Chosen's body nor can they influence their minds, but they can control and influence other humans.
Ghosts themselves are immortal, they cannot die nor can they be removed from their Chosen unless it is the Ghost's choice. They can only be killed by other Ghosts using spirit weapons. A ghost makes a bond with a human that does not have a perfect aura match, the results are violent. The human body manifests into that of a beastly monster and the spirit becomes corrupted. The only way to undo this with through an exorcism that forces corrupted ghosts/spirits to leave their host and return to the Spirit realm to be 'purified'.
It is also said that the spirit that bounds with their Chosen is often the opposite gender to their host.
The Chosen are essentially humans that have a perfect aura match to a certain spirit from the spirit realm and can bond with it, allowing the spirit or 'Ghost' as the researchers nicknamed them, to live with alongside their own soul, thus housing two different entities.
It is unpredictable when they are chosen, some are chosen as soon as they are born, others bond with their spirit during childhood or even as late as adolescence and early adulthood. When a bond is completed, the ghost cannot leave their host until their host dies or if the ghost decides to separate on their own free will.
Only the Chosen can see their Ghost or the Ghosts of their fellow kin. However, there are a certain few humans who possess the ability to see Ghosts without being bonded to a 'Ghost'.
When a Chosen is discovered, they are taken away from their families to be 'adopted' by special hospitals known as Sanctuaries, in order to research and study the 'Ghosts' more and possibly find a way into the Spirit Realm.
Depending on the spirit/ghost that they bond with, they can possess special abilities unique to them, this can range from psychic telekinesis to control over certain elements like water, fire and etc.
This is a special ability that allows humans to see spirits/ghosts, see another person's memories, past events, grants them immunity from possession and mind influence and more importantly can allow them to enter the Spirit Realm without consequence. This ability is normally exclusive to the Chosen only, however there are certain humans born with this sixth sense, unlike the Chosen though, they do not possess any special abilities granted by the Spirit/Ghost due not being bonded with one.
Eden Organization (E.O)
The Eden Organization are a powerful organization that had grown in power since the discovery of 'Ghosts' since it was their technology that first proved their existence. They established and founded the 'Sanctuaries', special medical hospitals that are known to the public as a hospital for children and teenagers who are orphaned or abandoned, on the outside, the public praised them for their kindness to orphans. They are funded by the government to create special technology for their army and police force to use against 'Ghosts', since the Chosen can channel their powers through their 'Ghost'. They also use their technology to capture and contain any unbonded 'Ghosts' that they find throughout the world.
However, this was a cover so they could secretly research and study on the 'Chosen' and their 'Ghosts' in order to discover more about them and find a way to duplicate this power for their own ends. They learned though that forcing the bond of a 'Ghost' can cause the humans to transform into demonic monstrosities and corrupt the spirit entirely, making them not only useless to use for their experiments but more dangerous than before.
They avoid killing the Chosens if one ever escaped from the Sanctuaries because how important they are their research and goals. Due to their powerful influence in the world, they can enlist any help from the police force to the military forces itself if needed.
An untouchable world that lies intertwined with Earth. However, Humans can not enter it since it is a place that only Spirits/Ghosts can go, as it is where all souls return when people pass away to purify their souls before returning them to Earth. However, the memories and experiences that human had known are wiped away and born again anew as a new soul.
Some spirits however, choose to stay behind and help humans who need their help the most in secret. These humans often turn out to be their Chosen though and choose to bond with them to act as a guardian angel of sorts.
It is said that only the Chosen and those who possess the Echo can enter the Spirit Realm without losing their body or soul upon stepping in. Those who try without either being a 'Chosen' or possessing the Echo are stripped of their souls, instantly killing them.
A top-secret project taking place under the secrecy of the Eden Organinazation at the Sanctuaries. Its contents are kept secret from everyone outside the project, however it does involve the 'Ghosts and their Chosen' somehow....
The Anti-Ghost Movement
This is a rebel/religious movement who are against the existance of Ghosts/spirits and their Chosen. Thinking of them as Demons who are possessing people for unholy ends. This movement is mostly comprised of humans who hate Chosens and their Ghosts. They are also against the Eden Organization whom they beleive are working alongside the demonic beings.

Name: Kiyoshi Miyazuki
Nickname (If character has one): "Kiyo" - Short version of his name.
Type of Human: Normal(?)
Place of Birth: Tokyo, Japan.
Occupation: Member of the Tokyo Police Force
Ghost/Spirit (Only applicable if your character is a Chosen): None
Abilities: Has the power of the 'Echo', and also knows a range of martial art skills.
Weaponry: Standard Police Gun & Assault Rifle
Personal Details/History: Kiyoshi is a friendly, open-minded young man in the Tokyo Police Force. Although skilled in martial arts and knows how to use standard weaponry used in the Police Force, he is still considered too inexperienced to take part any missions that involves terrorists or mob raids. He is also quite naive, making him a gullible and easy target. So most of the time, Kiyoshi is stuck doing paperwork back in HQ.
His mother was killed when he was a child in an tragic event that he was too young to remember, either that or the shock from her death was so much his mind blocked it out from his memory. One thing did remain from that day though, he suffers from hemophobia (Blood Phobia), yet he doesn't know why or how he developed such a phobia in the first place, he does get very defensive when his phobia is questioned by others, that was also another reason why he is rarely put on active duty.
His father worked overseas in the US although he didn't know what for, so he had adapted to living by himself, although in his younger years after his Mother died, his grandmother would often take care of him while his father was far away overseas before she also passed away from old age when he was twelve.
His grandmother would often tell him stories about special beings known as 'Spirits' that watched over humanity for thousands of years, and that there were special humans who could see and speak to the spirits. This ability was known as the Echo, a rare gift that only a certain few can possess.
When he was fifteen, his father mysteriously disappeared one night, he was later declared dead when his body was found two weeks later. He started to develop self-hatred at himself, thinking he was cursed to have everyone close to him die.
He was put up with a short-term foster family until he was old enough to graduate from school and earn a job at the Tokyo Police HQ. As he returns home from another day at work, he finds himself caught in a chain of events that would turn him a fugitive and on the run while trying to protect a seemingly innocent girl and her annoying friend from the people that were hunting them. He would also discover in time things about himself that he wished he never knew...
Name: Nena Mayland
Nickname (If character has one): N/A
Type of Human: Chosen
Place of Birth: Los Angeles, US.
Occupation: Fugitive Chosen, former test subject 007 of the Seraph Project.
Ghost/Spirit (Only applicable if your character is a Chosen): Renji
Abilities: Fire-elemental attacks, telepathy/mind read and mind-control.
Personal Details/History: Nena is a head-strong, cynical and somewhat cold girl. Beyond this tough exterior is a gentle-natured and frightened child who is on the run from the Eden Organization after escaping with her Ghost and ageless friend, Renji.
She and Renji had been bonded since she was born and has learned to masterfully control her ghost-given abilities while growing up. However, when her parents learned about her 'gifts', they became terrified of her, eventually disowning her and put her under the care of the Eden Organization and their Sanctuary care plan when she was six years old.
Betrayed by the people who she thought loved her, she had grown bitter resentment towards people in general and now only fully trusts Renji. For ten years, she spent being under surveillance and gone under psychic experiments for the researchers to study on her.
As abilities grew more powerful and developed, she was soon transferred as 'Test Subject 007' for a secret project known as the 'Seraph Project'. There had been times though where she struggled to keep Renji under control, who was insulted and angry at the people at the Sanctuary and sometimes attempted to kill someone.
Both she and Renji knew that the 'Seraph Project' meant bad news for them and thus made their escape, taking advantage of the lax security since Nena had never been a problem in the past.
They reached the Los Angeles Airport where they smuggled themselves on a airplane out of the US and to Japan by hiding in the luggage bay of the plane. Once arriving in Japan, they are aware that there are people already in Japan looking for them. So they continue to remain hidden within the massive city of Tokyo, what they didn't know is that they would meet someone here that become one of their only few allies in the world...
Nickname (If character has one): N/A
Age: 120 years old (Although he looks 12 in human years)
Occupation: Guardian and close friend to Nena, bonded since Nena's birth.
Abilities: Fire-elemental attacks and can possess other people's bodies and influence their minds, rite of Exorcism (This is only used for when they come across a forced ghost-bond)
Weaponry: Flambre (A spirit sword made of fire) This weapon can only be used against other spirits, it cannot kill humans.
Personal Details/History: Renji is a fire-elemental Ghost/spirit who bonded with Nena Mayland as his Chosen, since her birth, since they had a perfect aura match. Since then, Renji watching over Nena like an Guardian Angel, protecting her from those who would harm her. Over time, he became fond of his Chosen and became more protective over her as the years progressed. He was now more like a younger sibling to Nena than just a guardian.
Renji is strong-willed, loyal, devoted and quite rude to other humans, but that was due to his experience with them when he and Nena were placed in the Sanctuary. He is also known for his mischievous nature, causing harmless pranks and tricks on unsuspecting people for fun.
He had hated the Sanctuary like Nena had, and he hated the researchers and this 'Eden Organization' for the way they treated them like lab rats.
There had been times in the past when Renji had tried to kill some of the staff when he lost his self-control, but Nena always manages to bring him back to his senses, although that is a very difficult task.
They eventually escaped the Sanctuary by working together and escaping the country to Japan. Renji swore to protect Nena, no matter what it takes, and as their journey as fugitives continues, he is more determined than ever to uphold that vow.
Name: Fumiko Kazuragi
Nickname (If character has one): ''The Crazy Nerd" - Renji
Type of Human: Normal
Place of Birth: Yokohama, Japan
Occupation: Hacker/Engineer genius
Ghost/Spirit (Only applicable if your character is a Chosen): None
Abilities: None, although she has expert hacking skills and is able to upgrade Kiyoshi's weapons to the same level as the E.O's weapons.
Weaponry: E.O Ghost class pistols (these act similar to Renji's weapon, it can damage spirits but useless on humans), Ghost capture devices, Aura-Pulse Radar and her trusty laptop.
Personal Details/History: Fumiko is a childhood friend of Kiyoshi's and a genius when it comes to machines, upgrading weapons and smart computer hacking skills. She is also cheerful, fun-loving and becomes very excited when talking about Ghosts/Spirits. She also has a compassionate nature, being able to comfort the people around her. Although she is known to have a tomboyish attitude as well.
She previously lived in Yokohama prefecture before moving to Tokyo, she learned most of her skills from her Father, who worked as an Engineer for many years. Her mother died from an incurable illness when she was four years old so her Father had been working non-stop to pay the bills.
Eventually, a man from the Eden Organization offered her father a job at their HQ in Tokyo as an Engineering chief for their robotics and weapons department, which eventually in time allowed her to gain access to the E.O's weapons and gear. So when they moved to Tokyo, they had moved next door to where Kiyoshi and his family lived, thus their friendship was formed. They had remained good friends throughout their entire childhood and to the present day. Even after Kiyoshi had moved somewhere else to live, they remained in contact with each other.
Fumiko is a fanatic of the supernatural and would love to meet a Spirit/Ghost, although she was likely to never see one since she was not a Chosen or possessed 'the Echo'. Because of her fascination with Ghosts, she is an official walking book about them and is able to use this knowledge to her advantage when upgrading weapons and devices.
Although she cannot fight like Kiyoshi or Nena can, she is able to her smarts to assist them in anyway possible. When she gets a fateful mobile call from her old childhood friend, her life will never be same.
Name: Kaladin Sorna
Nickname (If character has one): Kal for short of Kaladin.
Type of Human: Chosen
Place of Birth: Italy
Appearance (you can describe or place a picture to illustrate your character):
Occupation: Ex-gangster of the Famiglia Settimo Strada
Ghost/Spirit (Only applicable if your character is a Chosen): Vaelin
Abilities: Guns Magic, enhanced accuracy, agility, speed, strength.
Weaponry: Silver handgun, engraved in gold are the words "Bruciare all'Inferno" which is Italian for "Burn in Hell".
Personal Details/History: Kaladin grew up parentless, an orphan left at the doorsteps of a local, rundown church. The owner of the church is a seedy self-claimed priest, who, in actuality, is a con artist who takes advantage of his holy position in order to milk offerings and donations from unsuspecting innocents. In what seemed like an act of sympathy, the priest took in Kaladin and raised him not as a son, but as a tool to cause more deceit. Kaladin grew up thieving, swindling and stealing whenever he can. He charmed women, outsmarted men, and often came home to Father with bruises and black eyes from beatings by the Italian police. All 'donations' were split with the crooked priest, the Father, and although his relationship with Kaladin were usually tense and rocky, they were fond of each other. Somewhat.
It was on Kaladin's 13th birthday that Father introduced him to the Head of the Famiglia Settimo Strada, the 7th Street Family, an infamous Italian gang that ruled the city where Kaladin grew up. They inducted him into their family, first as an errand boy but eventually, through brute violence, talent, and skill, he quickly rose through ranks during the next few years. From thief to hitman, Kaladin was feared and valued, not only by citizens in the area that the gang ruled, but by the Family itself. The Head was afraid of the power that Kaladin was gaining, and in order to avoid any treachery and betrayal, he ordered Kaladin to be killed. On the night of his 20th birthday, during a party in which his close friends and followers celebrated him, the Head's men ambushed and started slaughtering the company.
Kaladin, with his band of best friends skilled as he was, managed to survive the attack, killing the hitman but not without grievances, for more than half of the guests were slaughtered. Enraged, he stormed to the HQ of the Famiglia Settimo Strada, killing any of Family that came to confront him until he came upon the door that would lead him to the Head. Gravely wounded, his body torn and bleeding, he screamed as he smashed the door open. The Head was cowering in the corner and before he could pull the trigger, Kaladin fed a bullet into his heart. As the man slumped dying, Kal walked over and pried the famous Family heirloom from his former boss's slackened hand; a silver handgun with the golden words "Bruciare all'Inferno" emblazoned on its side. He then proceeded to empty the clip into the Head's body before dragging his soon-to-be-dead body out of the HQ, and made his way out of town.
As Kaladin collapsed a mile into the outskirts of the city, a strange sensation crept into his body. His eyelids fluttered, exhaling a final breath as he prepared to accept death.
Ironically, that was when he met a Ghost as his own soul left his body.
Three years later, Kaladin strolled out of the airport yawning as he gazes around, the Japanese sunshine warm on his skin.
Name: Lieutenant Jeffrey Cavalier
Type of Human: Normal
Place of Birth: Illinois, United States
Appearance: Jeff is an aging, 5'6" tall, green-eyed man with a stocky build and shaggy, mid-length black hair that is beginning to turn grey. Jeff usually is sporting facial hair, a small beard and moustache, but his hairline is starting to recede. Jeff's skin is starting to show signs of age, marked with wrinkles and scattered age spots. He prefers dressing casually; dark brown slacks held up by a black leather belt, brown leather shoes, a white-collared shirt, and a brown vest with black, metal buttons. Whenever on-duty, though, he wears a uniform loaned to him by the Tokyo Police Force. Two articles of clothing that Jeffrey never changes are a very large dustcoat that reaches past his knees, and a wide-brimmed, flat-top hat; when on duty he wears a navy blue coat and hat to match his uniform, but when off, he wears them in olive green.
Occupation: Liason officer with the Japanese Kidotai (Japanese Riot Police)
Abilities: Exceptional aim, high tolerance for pain and injury
Weaponry: 7-round .45ACP pistol, 20-round .308WIN designated marksman rifle
Personal Details/History: Jeffrey Cavalier is a gruff, hard-nosed, and boisterous middle-aged man. While arrogant and brash, Jeff is genuinely caring and goes out of his way to act morally and ethically in the name of the public good.
Jeff is an officer on loan to the Japanese police force from a US-local SWAT team, acting as a liason officer with their own local riot police. Due to his exceptional skill and experience, Jeff was chosen to train new recruits in combat and tactics, though frequently Jeff accompanies the Japanese police on official functions.
There were alterior motives to Jeff's request to transfer. About twenty years ago, in one of Jeff's first, and perhaps most violent cases, Jeff was a part of an investigation of a series of random murders, one where a killer stalked the streets and killed seemingly random collections of people. Rarely were the victims ever similar, male, female, old, young, short, tall, it seemed to be random, senseless violence. The only thing linking the murders together was something terrifying, every victim was lacerated with a perfect slash, no tearing, no ripping, just a perfectly clean cut. Then, after two years, the murderer seemed to simply up and vanish, the mysterious deaths stopping.
The case was always on the back of Jeff's mind, even when age started catching up to him. Jeff was frustrated to find that the department felt he was needed behind a desk rather than out in the field, where he felt he could actually make a difference. Yet, the new desk job gave him a new opportunity, he now had time to scour the news from around the nation, from around the entire globe, in search of the slasher. Yet nothing seemed to come his way, and Jeff merely resigned himself to wasting away behind a desk.
Then something happened, all the way across the Pacific ocean, a man was murdered, cut apart in the exact same way as the slasher's victims. Jeff immediately requested a transfer to serve as a liason officer with the Japanese Police force, and his captain agreed, knowing that Jeff was probably the only one left in the police force that knew how to find the killer. Within the week he was on a flight across the Pacific...
Name: Leon Baker
Nickname: Maki (Short for "Scarves")
Type of Human: Chosen
Place of Birth: Belgium
Appearance: A man of smaller stature and lithe build, he stands at about 5'4" in height, with short, straight, brown-black hair, and a rough, stubbled face. Leon has dark, amber-colored eyes, a narrow, pointed nose, high cheekbones, and a narrow, pointed jaw. He tends to dress very warmly, having a preference for warm boots, thick, full length pants, gloves, sweaters and jackets, and a knit cap of some kind. He is almost perpetually seen in the posession of a plain, dark blue scarf wrapped around his neck.
Occupation: Chemical Engineer (Unemployed), Freelancer
Abilities: Leon has the ability to generate and manipulate plastic compounds in his vicinity, similar to other elemental capabilities but dealing exclusively with synthetic materials.
Weaponry: Leon carries no weapons immediately on his person, but very frequently will use his abilities to create plastic rods or blades to use as handheld weapons.
Personal Details/History: Leon, known as Maki to his friends, outwardly is a calm, easygoing individual, and tends to take things in stride. However, Leon hides the fact that he is actually quite rigid and uptight, and would normally go out of his way to avoid conflict and stress rather than confront problems head on. He tends to rely on others more than he would be comfortable admitting.
Leon was one of several employees of a chemical manufacturing company headquartered in Belgium, but with factories and offices scattered all through Europe and Asia. Towards the pinnacle of his career, Leon was given a promotion and transferred over the the Yokohama factory to oversee operations. Things looked to be going well until a scandal erupted that suddenly saw the company and all its assets liquidated, when the top executives of the company embezzled and fled with stolen finances. Leon was now in the unenviable position of being both out of work and stranded in another country. Yet Leon was not alone, he at least had the companionship of a lifelong friend, a ghost by the name of Synth. It was Synth who had convinced him not to give up after so much had gone wrong, and it was not the first time she had been there to help him.
Leon first met Synth when he was a young child, in another especially vulnerable moment of his life. His father had very recently passed, and Synth, taking pity, decided to stick around to be sure that little Leon would recover. It was from there that they both discovered that their connection was far stronger than either the young child or the spirit had anticipated. The two became bound with one another, synchronous and inseparable, and as their friendship grew, so did their strength.
Leon is unaware that the worst of his problems may be yet to come...
Age: 226 (Looks to be in mid-twenties)
Appearance: Synth takes the form of a fair woman about 5'11" in stature, bearing dark brown-red eyes and a head of long, pale white hair that reaches past her back, usually kept tied up in a braid with a large, decorative plastic clip in her hair at the bottom of the braid. She has narrow, yet alert eyes, a slender, but pointed nose, and a wide, constant smirk. Synth's clothing is layered, underneath wearing a bodysuit made from nylon-like synthetic fabric, dark reddish-brown in color, and over this a suit of plate armor made from a solid, white plastic material similar in texture to acrylic, covering her torso, waist, legs, and forearms. On top of everything, Synth wears a neutral-grey coat made from a flexible sheet similar in feel to PVC.
Occupation: Self-proclaimed scientist, Leon's companion
Abilities: Synth possesses the ability to manipulate and create plastic materials, and has a minor ability to influence the minds of others.
Weaponry: Xyline, a spirit weapon in the shape of a long, transparent plastic spear with an arrow-head shaped tip. As a spirit weapon, it is only capable of inflicting harm on other Ghosts.
Personal Details/History: Synth is an intellectual, a calm, calculating entity that takes pride in her personal pursuits. Patient and persistent, Synth will very frequently pursue something whenever she has her mind set to it, rarely giving up or deviating when she has a goal set. while she can look cold, Synth is actually a fairly warm, caring person.
She spent a great portion of her life only partaking in her own pursuits, learning and studying the chemical sciences, given that chemistry had been such a strong part of who she was. For a long time, Synth was content in her way of life, until she began to feel something missing. Synth wandered the earth in search of something new, something beyond petty pursuits and entertainment. That was when she came upon the sombering scene of a funeral, and a young child possibly no older than eight or nine years of age, devestated by the loss of family.
Moved by the little boy's plight, she remained close to protect him in this difficult time, until she noticed something amiss. The boy could see her, he was a rare kind of human that she had maybe only come across once or twice in just over two centuries of living. Not only that, but he seemed to be something more, having an aura not unlike her own, a bond the pair of them shared. On that day she chose to remain at the youngling's side, acting as a friend, mentor, and teacher.
She even now remains faithfully at Leon's side, not aware or what trouble lies ahead...
Name: Christina Hirahara
Type of Human: Chosen
Place of Birth: San Francisco, United States
(Note: Tina stands about 5' 7" in height)
Occupation: Chosen—test subject 005 of the Seraph Project
Abilities: Ability to manipulate ice—both melee skills and ranged spells, and decrease the temperature around her. However, she is weak when it comes to physical strength alone.
Weaponry: An ordinary pocketknife (obtained later).
Personal Details/History: Tina is a quiet and distant young woman, though despite her delicate features, she is quite hardened and quick on her feet. She has a hard time understanding the emotions of others and whenever she is able to “visit” the outside world from her Sanctuary, she becomes a curious soul. She hardly let the researchers see this part of her whenever she is within the facility, except for her Ghost. Though, how Tina became part of the Eden Organization was when she was a young child. Tina was born with her Ghost, but the spirit had not awakened until Tina was about four years old. That day was a clear and beautiful summer day in downtown San Francisco where Tina and her parents went shopping at a local farmer’s market. Tina had been so excited to visit the place for the first time, having to see so many people in one place selling various of organic foods, she strayed away from her parents to explore. Everything was so large for her, but on her first run with a rugged-looking homeless man, Tina was terrified. The man startled her and she cried out to her parents, which they were nowhere to be seen in the crowded plaza.
That was when something unusual happened. Out of nowhere, thick flakes of snow started to sprinkle from the sky—the cloudless summer sky. The air around the farmer’s market began to chill slowly, but the snowflakes did not melt, even in the sun! Coldness seeped from Tina and anyone around her would know that she was not ordinary and was quickly found by the market security. Her parents soon found her as well and when they were able to calm her down from crying, the snow began to fade away. After that incident, she was labeled as a Chosen and it appeared that Tina had come into contact with her Ghost a few days afterward. Tina called the Ghost Winter, because of the snow that fell around it and cold temperature that radiated from its body. Her life after that was then known in the labs of the Eden Organization and only after a few years at a time, Tina was able to see her parents. Eventually, the visits became less and less as Tina became older, though she would still communicate with them via phone and under surveillance. Once it seemed like Tina was excelling in controlling her Ghost and her abilities, they transferred her and Winter over to the secret project in the Orange County branch where they were further researched on.
Those days under the Seraph Project were hazy ones that Tina could hardly recall and there were times when she would feel disconnected with her Ghost. Though the separation would not last long and after a few seconds, Tina’s bond with Winter would hold strong once again. Despite all the experiments conducted on her, Tina still seems to follow the orders of the researchers, not wanting to disappoint them. After the recent escape of Test Subject 007, Tina was being watched more carefully, despite not having the desire to flee. Eventually, she and a few other Chosen have been reassigned to another Sanctuary overseas in Japan to a more secure research facility.
(Note: Winter stands about 6' 2" in height)
Occupation: Tina’s guardian
Abilities: Ice Elemental attacks that can be both melee or ranged. He is able to freeze the area around him (to a larger degree compared to Tina) and chill the air. When he possesses other people’s bodies, he can only last just above five minutes the most, before he has to leave. Otherwise he could damage the host he possesses if it is someone other than Tina.
Weaponry: Ice Daggers. These daggers can be summoned at will by Winter and can float in midair around his body. They are commonly used as projectiles by Winter.
Personal Details/History: It’s unknown how Winter became to be Ghost, but he is an ice-elemental and bonded with Tina when she was born in the mid-winter season. Winter was originally active and had watched over Tina when she was a baby, but as her parents raised her with love and care, he suddenly went dormant inside Tina and slept until she was in danger or in distress. When Tina was terrified of her encounter with a ‘scary’ homeless man, Winter had awoken and this caused the change in Tina to become apparent. After that, he resumed his duty to protect Tina, now that she had been taken from her parents and from safety of a home.
Winter is very loyal to Tina and will not disobey her words. He does not really care for normal humans and usually dismisses them. He also has a calm demeanor and does not lose his temper easily. However, he does not often show his frustrations or voice them, even to Tina, when it comes to the Eden Organization. He hates them, especially from all the experiments he and Tina had to go through, and would one day like to see them fall if they were to be free from them.
(If there are any NPCs you wish to add, let me know and I'll add them here. NPCs don't need a full bio, but they do need a brief description of who they are and what they do. Okay? =D
Commander Faye Byrnes
This woman is cold, calculating and loyal to the Eden Organization. She is the leading Commander of the Ghost Squad, a special branch within the Eden's Elite that specializes in capturing Chosen and their Ghosts. They have even been on missions to capture unbound ghosts who are considered more dangerous due to their unpredictability and have no Chosen to watch out for.
With many successful missions under her belt, she is respected among her peers and rivals for her clever strategies against Ghosts.
