Plot- What if the Master hadn't been shot and did end up traveling with The Doctor, but only so he could live and not be killed by the humans who wanted him dead. But The Master feels like The Doctor just wants him around for having the company of another time lord and feels like a prisoner. He doesn't seem to notice or care the Doctor is only trying to helpThey had always been friends as children, so The Doctor is determined to help the Master, though the Master just sees there is no way out and no way to stop the drums. He is sure that he enjoys making the Doctor suffer. But when The Doctor is poisoned causing him to loose strength the Master is conflicted on whether to help his former friend and he feels rage towards the one who harmed the Doctor.
The Master didn't really want to be with the Doctor, but hell if he was going to avoid been shot maybe it was worth it. Although he could come up with plans to steal the TARDIS again later.
"You only want me around so your not lonely." The Master knew that the Doctor was so miserable being alone. Really The Master just felt like he was prisoner to the Doctor.
He knew the humans and The Doctor's friends wanted him dead, but he knew the Doctor wasn't really going to let him do what he wanted to do. The Doctor would probably try so desperately to change him.
The Master didn't want to be changed, he was sure that it was quite impossible now, the drums were there for ever, and he also thought he was stuck in this madness.
He glared at the Doctor as he was lead back to the TARDIS. Surely once his mind was more clear that he would be able to come up with some plan to steal the TARDIS. That was if he could get away with it. Losing had put the Master in a rather foul mood. His bad mood didn't seem likely to let up any time soon. He smirked at the thought of the Doctor putting up with that.
He sighed in annoyance and lazed across one of the seats in the TARDIS. If he was going to be stuck here the Doctor better not keep him locked up in the TARDIS like a dog, though he didn't exactly want to travel with the Doctor. "Why do you want me alive mm? You can't help me, and why would you!" He snapped. "The drums... the never ending drums .. driving me crazy they won't stop, And my insanity? maybe I am happy being this way. You can't change me." He was a bit worn out.
But the Master would never admit that he was tired in front of the Doctor.
"You have been alone too long Doctor," The Master spat out the words. He did often think about their childhood, but the Master thought there was no way he was going back to being his friend.Even tired, the insane time lord seemed ready to argue with the Doctor all day. "I won't be your pet...," he grumbled. The Master closed his eyes and leaned back in the seat.
This was going to be rather boring. He thought. The Master had no intentions on giving up his plan. He looked rather cranky still.
Closing his eyes he tried to relax for a moment, but he was still annoyed. He was annoyed he had lost, and annoyed at the Doctor.
He wondered how long the Doctor planed to ‘keep him’
“Just how long do you plan to keep me?” He growled. The Master knew the Doctor planned to reform him. He crossed his arms. The Master didn't seem likely to shut up any time soon either.
He groaned in frustration and leaned forward again staring at the Doctor. He knew the Doctor had taken his laser screwdriver off him, he knew The Doctor did that to keep him from doing anything.
