- ( -The In-Character- ) -
In the beginning, there was fear, confusion, and assumptions. In the end, the was fear, confusion, assumptions, depression, hope lost, misery, pain, death, and despair. People were mislead, lost, and forgotten. It was either survival of the fittest, or do what was right, but even in this city, not always did you get that choice. Fires spreading, building and vehicle destruction scattered all over the place. Weapons fire, dead bodies, musty smells. What is left? Aside from the rotting, walking corpses, the raging flames, and military advances, every turn one would take would be death staring them in the face, or worse... At this point, all one can choose is fight or flight, and majority of the time it was both, at the same time. Raccoon City, a once prosperous and neighborly city, now the sudden home to the undead. Here we follow, what could be, the last remaining survivors as they try to escape, or just to simply watch what they make of themselves before they meet their ultimate end. There wil be discoveries, perils, mistakes and even some unexpected surprises, compared to everything that has already happened.
A group of survivors that are trying to escape from the aftermath meet up in a building and try to survive, what they do next is their choice.
The group could encounter anything from your average stumbling corpses, to Umbrella experiments, to even Umbrella employees. To trust someone is your choice, remember this.
What Can Happen
You can die, so be smart, and if you can, be tactical. Or be that asshole that trips the person beside you so the zombies can eat them while you run. You can be double crossed, trusting someone is your choice. You can burn to death, watch out for fires. You can be "romantic," this counts as trickery or hitting on someone with looks you like. Oh, and you can be judged. It's a zombie apocalypse and you're stuck in the middle, you think what can happen. No real limits.
(Insert all commoner "professions" here. I.e. business person, hippie, hipster, rapper.....)
Raccoon Police Officer
Emergency Medical Technician
Cafe Employee (Everyone starts in Cafe 13 Restaurant!)
National Guard Soldier (Sorry, your squad was over run and eaten alive)
(Commoner "professions" are entirely different from official professions, remember this when choosing a profession. Professions are not required. You can be jobless)
Remember, it is a little rare for a hippie to pull a revolver out of his back pocket. Be reasonable, and use common sense. This is only a list of "free" and "common" items for your memory usage.
Backpack (Includes other necessities one might have in said backpack)
Knife (Of many common sorts)
Weapons-Of-Any-Kind (Remember, logic! A Doctor wielding an assault rifle? Try relatively no weapon experience and the only bullets you have are in the magazine. You can later loot bodies, so don't worry)
Handguns (With enough reasonable history/reason as to why a non-official profession would have it, it can be accepted.)
Credit Cards (Shave them down, use as a weapon!)
Cellphone (Oh... wait...)
You have extremely limited items due to already have been fighting with the undead... and other... things.
You all will receive "Personal Maps" through Private Message. This will ensure a flexible and balance gameplay. Each person will receive a customized map which will represent their knowledge of the city and "what they remember, and how to get to." See? Realism!
Code:Name: Status: (Alive or Dead. Dead will be placed here when you die. This means you are a zombie, and can choose to upgrade to a Crimson Head, pr continue as a Zombie. Crimson Heads are easy to spot and Survivors will want to take them down more than a regular Zombie) Age: Gender: (Optional) Profession: Equipment: (Nearly anything can be accepted if explained) Appearance: (Picture and/or description) Height: (Weight and Height deal with effectiveness of strength as a human or zombie) Weight: (Weight and Height deal with effectiveness of strength as a human or zombie) History: (Minimum 2 paragraphs) --- Explanations: (Use this to explain why you have what you have)
(One Creature sheet per person. If you die, don't worry, you can create another one. No Survivors may be Creatures, unless they died. Then they automatically become zombies. Speak to GM's if you want to "upgrade." Note: You don't get to become a zombie if your body has taken too much damage, including any type of blows to your brain.)
(Another Note**, players should only start as lower forms of experiments, if you go for anything higher than something a Survivor can take on in the beginning, it will be demanded to give a strong reason how you found them. Later on, you can choose to "upgrade" for free, as the survivors will definitely have attracted attention.)
(**Crimson Heads, Web Spinners, Adders, and Zombie Dogs are lower experiments)
CreaturesCode:Creature: (See below for a list of playable creatures) Reasoning: (Everyone will be new to this, explain how you found the survivors. Your Creature choice can sometimes have a reasonable explanation in itself) Personality: (Choose something along these lines, or near. Aggressive, Passive, Curious, Savage, Murderous.
Crimson Head (Basically advanced form of a zombie, you get increased speed, more movement of your muscles, higher thought patterns, etc. You also kill faster and do more damage!)
Hunter α (Best description: Giant gorilla with no fur. The description link says they are a bit short, but for this roleplay purpose, they are between 6 and 7 feet tall. Massive claws, razor sharp maw, and a serious thirst for blood, it is their instinct to murder anything not infected. Also, their skin is like very hard leather, almost bullet proof.)
Chimera (Scythes for arms, and they can emit a diseased cloud of spore, more or less, and have a lot of health, but can be stunned easily, but only for a very short time.)
Web Spinner (Extremely fast, extremely dangerous. They may not be able to slash and rip and tear, but they can reach any height, hide anywhere, and their bite instantly infects. They also have slobber. Acidic slobber. Later on, if a player starts as this, I will let them upgrade to a Black Tiger. Carries dozens of Web Spiders, its bite will kill you, several times smarter, webbing is as strong as velcro, and the size of a Fiat 500.)
Adder (Increased benefits like the Web Spinner. Faster, can hide anywhere, bite can paralyze you, with low chances of killing you, but it is an infecting bite. Travels with other Adders always, and can sense body heat within a few feet. If started as an Adder, later can become a Yawn. Too scary to describe, read up on it.)
Zombie Dog (Slobber, blood, bite, other body fluids, can infect. It can also do anything a rabid crazy dog can do. If started as a Zombie Dog, can quickly soon upgrade to Cerberus. Internal body seriously exposed, this mutt is ferocious, and smart. A Cerberus can travel with two other Cerberus, has the strength to topple and push down a human, and even grab them with its maw and toss them a foot or two. Blind, but sense of smell and hearing are increased. This dog will devour your face before your brain.)
Licker (The only way to become a Licker is to choose Crimson Head, and kill at least one Survivor, then die. You can come back and upgrade to a Licker)
**Dying does not take off "experience" or anything. Eventually, you will have to die in order to upgrade to a new creature.
Note: There are currently 4 experiments unlisted. This is due to them either being too powerful for a player to control, or they are too weak to do anything significantly fun for a player. They will be NPC's)
Jonathan Douglas (UnknownSoldier)
Sarah Covenry (Assallya)
James Law (Cartwright)
Anna Jane Marconi (Unwell)
Daniel Garrison (ViKtoricus)
Edgar Roland (WhiteLotus)
Jack Miradian (GemCat)
Upcoming Survivors (No Maximum, First Accept, First Serve)
*Upcoming Survivors will be introduced into the game after a Survivor dies or the player has to leave.
[Lucian Hearts CHaracter]
Co GM's (0/2)
To Apply as a Co GM, simply post your experience as a GM and/or Co GM and how much you know on Resident Evil/BIOHAZARD/Zombies.
(* "Always Accepting" for Survivors if a Survivor has died or the player had to leave, for Creatures, any may be accepted, but a Creature may not be thrown at the Survivors so quickly after creation.)
Roleplaying Issues That Need To Be Addressed
Since there will be enemies in this roleplay, and there are 7 survivors posting, Action Posts will be detailed.
-In Combat, everyone is limited to one action, enemies are limited to two.
-Out of Combat, be realistic. *Walks from side to side of the room and thinks before slamming his fist on the desk* "What are we gonna do?!" *Expels a quick burst of breath and flips the desk* Is... odd... but acceptable.
Special Events - Normally the roleplay will play as normal, Survivors talking, walking, thinking, etc. But sometimes, there will be special events by GM (GM's will make Non-Character Posts (N.C.P.)), this is either to throw a player creature at the survivors, speak about an environment change, a N.P.C. creature event, etc.
Something to note: If a Player does not think another player is roleplaying correctly, breaking the game, cheating, misbehaving, etc., a player may report this to any GM through PM. There will be absolutely no retaliatory action taken against the reporting player. If enough reports are sent, or the player bluntly shows their behavior in a very obvious way, they may be taken out of the roleplay, or told to correct themselves. This is for the players, not an abuse of powers.
If it takes more than an average time for a player to come up with a character sheet, does not edit their character sheet within agreeable time, or is a character that does not relate to the story or setting, the current participating players may take a public or private vote to exclude the character or player. This is for the players, not an abuse of powers.
