So I'm in a class which deals with peer editing papers from all the classes at my school. Today we were editing papers written on the subject of what business would you create and how? It was meant as a practice for the CAHSEE and was supposed to be serious.
One paper of astonishing oddness came across my desk. Grammar and spelling wise it was exceptional for the sophomore normal English papers, but... the content... Well here's what it said more or less:
I would start a business selling cupcakes. I would call this business Fluffycakes, because that name is cute and sweet and no one would suspect a thing.
My workers would be 5 yo Chinese sweatshop workers trained in North Korea.
My patrons would be dogs, polar bears, and guys named Steve and anyone else who wanted cupcakes.
I would advertise by getting a dog, attaching a sign to it that says "Buy Fluffycakes so I can eat tonight" and sending it door to door.
I would get the initial money needed to start the business from grave robbing.
The writer was a lot more eloquent and detailed but my whole class wrote responses to it... It was a lot darker than that too. It was entirely coherent and great writing though, which is what was so weird. I wondered if they were high or something...
