Oracle A.K.A. Crystal Clear
Crystal heard her phone ringing while she was in her limo just arriving at the funeral. She saw it was Alec Roman, someone she had a weird feeling about when she did any work for him. She clicked on her smartphone, answering with her best manners that she could muster; "What the hell do you want Alec? I've got issues to attend to, such as a death of a dear..... Friend. So please, make it snappy." Crystal said her tone showing no mercy for the language she had just used. She getting helped out onto the walkway of the place the funeral was at, getting flashing lights going off in her face. She smiled at the camera's and gave a wave to the news camera, before disappearing into the great hall full of superheros and vigilantes a like.
"If you want, meet me in the hall that is darkened, We'll chat there; Until then Mister Roman." She said before going into the hall, cutting power off only in that hall to make sure he knew which one to go to. She then waited in the dark, unsure of what to do when he came. Dammit, why didn't I bring the damn holy water today? I should've known he would call...... Stupid, stupid, stupid! She continued to scold herself for a while, but making sure that no one could hear the immense amount of swearing and cursing that was coming out of her mouth. She may have needed a bleep button every other word!
It was getting worse as it started to end though, the words unknown to everyone unless someone spoke the forbidden language; The language from hell or something along that line. She finished up after a long row of forbidden words, breathing heavily as she closed her eyes and tried to calm down. She shouldn't blame herself for this, since she didn't think of Alec calling; I mean, she was filled to the brim with grief, and she might be upset for a very long time. A couple of people passed by, but other than that she was alone. She thanked the gods for that, and made sure to ask for forgiveness; Yes, the Oracle was asking for forgiveness. But she knew fully well that a god had more powers than all the super hero's combined, and she didn't want to upset anything that could be so divine. Lord knows that they had no means to fight back against a thing like that. And with the universe expanding, there was no knowing what was out there other than them.
She was quite now as she began to wait again, waiting for Alec's figure to appear behind her like usual. For some reason he liked to see her from both the front and behind, and this did not bother her much. It's not like plenty of men hadn't done it before. Well, not in the sort of way like..... that, but just men on a daily bases did this, and now it didn't bother her any more.
