I have three fledgling ideas in mind for a rp and was wondering which one I should go for, so that's why I will set up a poll and describe my three ideas right here, with the hope that you will give me some feedback on what you would like and would not like for an Halloween-y roleplay.
The first idea, and the most realistic, is set in Salem, where young women, exhausted and ill from their long trip from Europe, would form a pact with a mysterious entity in exchange for their lives, the entity demanding various things in return for great power, from minor things like a ritual in it's honor to human sacrifices depending on the strength of the women's curses or blessings. The system would work on Mysterious Favors gained through various task for the entity, Suspicion, which is best kept low if you want your character to be neither burned at the stake or forced to flee with the 'savages' of the forest, and finally Credibility, which is accumulated by doing communal things for Salem and it's people. This would be set in cicles of Day and Night, with each cycle having a specific task to complete or fail to continue on to the next cycle.
The second idea is a bit more set in fairy tales, in which young children will play in an enchanted forest and form a bond with a dark entity in the forest, sharing their young and vital body with it and in exchange getting guidance, companionship and most importantly power to do as they please. There is a downside, however, as, at night, they must abide to every whims of their entity and must also beware of witch hunters...
The last is a darker than usual HPRP, where Grindelwald won the war and your characters, young muggleborns, will be trust into a world where they are shunned and forced to hid both their weaknesses and their muggle heritage, taking the role of orphaned purebloods and doing their best to fit in and, maybe, go one day into Hogwarts, if they prove astute and powerful enough.
So, I ask, which one would you like best?
