Hello, fellow roleplayers. Ersatz Emperor and I welcome you to the interest check for the first chapter of a (hopefully) long-running game in which you play as DC Comics characters carried around the Multiverse. Instead of being another of those games in which you play as a simple revision of a canon character to fit your own personal tastes, here we'll begin by giving the game's world a theme, and adapting the characters to fit accordingly. The game is called Infinite Crisis because of the way this multiverse was created, by a man named Alexander Luthor as shown in the miniseries 'Infinite Crisis.'
We intend for this to be a high casual / advanced level roleplay; hopefully this will be well received by a large amount of you.
Dedicated players will be allowed to play in the overarching storyline that takes place within the main DCU through all of the 'Seasons' in the entire game. But primarily, action will be played out within whatever themed world we are playing in. In this case, of this first season, the alternative earth in which the story is set will be Pirate themed; to enter this first season, one must reinvent a can character of there choosing to fit the piratical era. A world where no major technological advancements or key events occurred following the Golden Age of Piracy. A world where British rule continues to extend to the furthest reaches of the known map. A world where men are born and forged by the sea. A world where men can live free.
Rules of Application:
Character you wish to play - (Only canon characters please,):

Roster pic: (No anime picture or real-life actors, thank you.
- Once an application for a character has been inserted, there is a 24 hour period in which competing apps may be submitted.
- Applicants may have a maximum of two characters, but only one upon beginning.
- You must make the characters meet the setting properly.
- If your application is rejected, you must wait two days before re-applying.
- The status of a legacy or related character's acceptance is dependant on the first established player with ties to the applicant in question.
- If you drop a character, you must wait one week before setting in a new application.
Once the game starts, you'll have twelve weeks (one season) to write your stories and collect trophies, that represent your in-character achievements, before the season ends. Every trophy has a point value, and when you have various totals of point values, you unlock certain privileges and benefits.
Points cannot be spent, rather, they are a score representing how close you are to receiving several awards. Every twenty points received, stacks up to an extra vote at the Season's end for a chance to pick the next setting. At twenty-five points, a second character slot is unlocked. And at ninety points, you are given permission to post in the Main DCU as your characters mainstream counterpart. Our second grandest prize, unlocked at eighty points, is given in the form of a visit from Mr. Mxyzptlk or Booster Gold who will personally hand your character a ticket (IC) offering them
The trophy chart
A.) 3 Extra Votes
B.) An illegitimate tool of your choice from the arsenal of Booster Gold or Mister Mxyzptlk.
Years ago there was a multiverse far different from the one we have today. But it was destroyed, few people remember it, and even fewer survived. One of which was the son of Earth-2's Lex Luthor, Alexander. Alexander escaped the demise of the multiverse using an escape pod that had existed in Limbo, until recently. On board with him, he'd been keeping Superman (Earth-2), Lois Lane (Earth-2), and Superboy (Prime). Only recently though, using one of Alex's brilliant devices, has the multiverse been resurrected, but at what sinister cost? But one of many new Earths is this one that is stuck in the Golden Age of Piracy, but how could what happens here affect another universe?
This is not an alternate earth story like you know it; the characters you play will not only live and thrive in the only world they know, but can be carried across the multiple Seasons. At the end of a season, you (the players) will be able to vote upon the next setting, whether that be a vote of no change or some other strange world.
The only limit to what can be achieved here is your own creativity. If you have any questions or wish to post a CS, by all means post it all here; one of us will get the answer or reply to you with as much speed as we can muster. We hope you enjoy your stay.
Yours Truly, The GMs
