-Hidden Base near London-
The voice echoed in the computer filled room. The same man crushed his fist on the table in front of him as he looked into the monitor.
Metal debris were laying in the center of the room inside the screen.. They were covered in blood, as was most of the floor. Two bodies were laying there, or at least what was left of them. THey had been beheaded in a most violent way and lost one or two members. Each. The rest of the facility was in no better shape. At least a dozen guards died this night alone, if not more. The trail of blood and bodies would lead to a big shuttle gate that was now open. The man spoke up again.
''Are you telling me you lost her trace?'' He was speaking to a woman behind him. She did not seem to mind his temper at all. Rather, she was used to it. ''Do you know how dangerous she is? How precious she is to this project?'' This time, the man turned around to the woman. She placed her glasses correctly before answering. ''My deepest apologies, President. It seems that no one was able to stop her from escaping. Once outside, we were too late. The man lost her trace. From approximations given by our specialist team, she probably only managed to make it as far as London. Teams are already in preparations to get there and start the search, Sir.'' The man seemed to calm down and sit into a chair close by. ''Good. Use everything at our disposal for safe retrieval. She must remain alive and well. She is the center of the future of this whole operation...No. She is the future of mankind itself. Lucy MUST be returned.'' He said with a calmed tone. The woman bowed her head lightly and left the room.
Lucy had walked for the entire night, barefooted, in order to reach this place. Luckily for her, or rather for everyone else, she did not run into anyone before making it in the city. Once inside, she took to the small back alleys. She was completely naked except for an iron mask covering the whole of her head. The mask had small wholes in order for her to be able to breath correctly, but nothing allowed her to actually see. To anyone else, knowing how she could have made it this far without seeing would be a mystery. She suddenly stopped dead in her tracks after hearing a noise right beside her. An homeless man was sitting there, shocked to see such a person in front of him. She was covered in blood from the man that died earlier this night, but to the man she looked wounded and lost. ''Miss...What...Are you alright? Here let me hel--'' He had not even the time to fully stand before his head came off, a spray of blood marking the wall behind him. The body fell down, lifeless if not for a few last spasms. A loud noise was heard, something hitting against metal. It resonated again, and again. Eventually, the noise came one last time and a loud thumb was heard. The mask was laying on the ground, a filet of blood coming down from the girl's temple. She had just used a large metal scrap to hit against the weakest spot of the mask in order to break free. Her long brown hair came down in a waterfall as soon as they broke free, covering her face entirely. She looked down at her hands for the first time in years and remained like this for a few moments. She then looked at the body of the man before moving on, walking at a slow pace.
About 15 minutes later, Lucy was inside of an house. The bodies of a man, a woman and a teenage girl were laying on the ground of the living room. They died together, close to one another. The expression of fear could still be seen on the man's face. The wife had opened the door to Lucy, and was most shocked to see a bloodied, naked girl. She offered her help and allowed her inside. The man came forward, worried and almost angry at her wife for trying to help an homeless person. Lucy could see their girl peeking out from inside her room. The woman was the first to die. Her eyes widened, making the man stop talking. Her leg came off in a most horrible noise, then her neck was twisted until the head came off. The chest of the man was then forced inward, his heart crushed by his bones. In only an instant, both were dead. The teenage girl came out of her room after hearing some noise. Her hands immediately reached for her gaping mouth when she saw the horror of it all. She rushed to the side of her parent bodies first, but immediately realized her mistake. She slowly turned her gaze towards the girl standing there. She had no expression whatsoever. They looked at each other for a few seconds, as if they just had a discussion in perfect silence. The girl wanted to stand up slowly and flee, but it was way too late for that. Before realizing it, she went to join her parents in death and Lucy walked off towards the bathroom. She took a shower to clean off any blood left on her and then headed for the room of the teenage girl for clothes. She put on anything that fitted her. Basically, it gave her a strange look since not one piece of clothing fitted with each others.
The night passed and, first thing in the morning, she left the house just as she came in. She had no real goal as of yet, apart from escaping those that were after her. All she knew was that she carried a lot of anger towards any humans. Time passed and Lucy would eventually find herself in front of a big school. It was the perfect place to hide during the day, as she knew they would already be in town searching for her by now. She sat in the stairs of the man entry. Little did she know the school was a private one, and students were required to wear uniforms. She remained in the stairs even as the students began arriving in small numbers, giving her strange looks. She looked perfectly lost and out of place clothed in such a way. She had planned to wait all day here before being on her way again.
