Bending The Bind [Suspect and Raafling]
Kyoko smartly marched down the halls of the compound to the holding cells located in the lower levels, the electric lights turned on even in the early hours of the morning. She took comfort in the hustle of work going on all around her, people in face masks like her own doing their best to make this city a better place. Few wore the night goggles inside, and it was easy to see the determination in people's eyes as they acknowledged her as she walked past. The masks were for everyone's protection of course. It was better for everyone if they could not identify each other should the corrupt government get their hands on everyone. A necessary evil, even when she would like to proudly show her face as she stood up for what was right.
Just like her current assignment was a necessary evil. She might not like to play babysitter to some spoiled brat of a bender, but the lieutenant had told her it was too important a task to be assigned to anyone less capable. This girl had parents in high places, and they needed funding to ensure the liberation of the common people. It might be a bit underhanded to use familial bands to get the support they needed, but that was what had to be done. The benders in charge were corrupt and selfish, and the only way that Amon would be able to get their voices heard was through force. Kyoko was just glad she could do her part, even if she would rather be participating in the upcoming raid to free captured equalists.
"This is the place?" she asked curtly, taking a clipboard from a nervous guard to scan over with her steely grey eyes. Behind the iron door her prisoner would be waiting, shackled and chi-blocked in preparation for the transfer. The form noted that she had burned at least four people in her stay here, with another one added that very morning. Her eyes narrowed and she sneered behind the mask. Typical. She was fed and treated well, and in return she had been nothing but a menace to the people guarding her. She was the perfect example of why people like that needed their bending taken away.
"All right, open the door. I'll take this one of your hands."
Her eyes flashed opened when the electric lights popped on and she eyed every single masked individual before her. If she wasn't Chi Blocked or paralyzed, she would've unleashed a fiery fury on them. Sym looked at the two that had came to her home and kidnapped her away from her parents. What a world of terror they must be in, realizing that their little girl is not there when they wake in the morning. She could already feel their pain as her heart raced a little bit. Her eyes looked towards the masked people again as she saw two coming towards her. She couldn't move nor did she have time to anyway. They made sure she was still paralyzed before she was shackled up.
"You guys are so lucky." She muttered while smirking a little bit. "But trust, I will have my revenge and you guys will burn like your five buddies." She harshly spat as the guards laughed, one of them knocked her to her knees. She winced but didn't let them see it. Luckily, her brunette locks of hair fell over her face and they couldn't see the tears that were forming. They lifted her back up to her feet as she heard a women's voice.
She lifted her head and waited for the female to come in. The two guards grasped Sym's arms tighter than before. She thought they was going to treat bad but they actually fed her and treated her well but why did they kidnap her - That part was still a secret to her. When the female entered her cell, she asked her. "Why? Why am I here?!" She raised her voice a little bit in a demanding an answer way.
Kyoko wanted to sneer at the blatant disrespect the other woman was showing. First a threat, then a demand? She really did not know how bad a position she was in, did she? Now it really stung that she was going to have to look after this violent brat rather than do something useful... She did not let any of that show, however, and softened the look in her eyes as much as she could.
"It's fine," she said, nodding at the guards, "step outside for a moment." The glanced at each other for a small moment, but shrugged and obeyed. When the door closed behind them for a moment, Kyoko stepped closer, though not close enough that the girl could try to head-but her.
"There's no time for questions now, but I am here to get you away from this place," she said quickly and quietly. "I trust you were not harmed? I can keep them from hurting you, but only if you come quietly. Do you think you can do that for me?" The last thing she wanted to do was comfort the girl, but everything would go a lot smoother if they had her cooperation.
