"Before Luke stumbled across me at a cantina on Nar Shaddaa, I was a terrible person... Hunted people. Sometimes they deserved it, but most of the time they were innocent. I couldn't say I regretted doing it at the time; I was alive, I had an income, even if it was feeding myself on the blood of others. The Mandalorian way is war, honour, seeking a worthy opponent. I couldn't see anything wrong with my choices until I realized just how far I'd slipped down the moral ladder. Heh, it took some convincing, I tell ya'.
The reason Luke found me was because he sensed me. It was the Force. I didn't believe it, I believed in my own skill and experience, with a blaster at my side nobody could stop me. After convincing me he could give me a challenge worthy of a Mandalorian, I couldn't say no, I followed him straight to Yavin 4, straight into the Praxeum, and I learned how to control that massive power that I apparently held all around me. I always knew the galaxy was full of wrongdoings, scum, people who deserved getting a blaster shoved in their face - like me
for example. Luke told me I could help clean it up, and that my skills would make me invaluable as a member of this 'New Jedi Order' he was creating. Sure, I might not be all that much a good guy... I might not be the model Jedi. But I figure I don't need to live off of others' pain and sorrow anymore, never did have to. I just had to realize there was another option."
Like Katarn, Malik Krytt follows the way of the Light, but not necessarily the path of a true Jedi. He still holds on to some kind of Mandalorian pride, but not to a stupid extent. Other than that, Malik is quite a 'chill' person, teacher and soldier.
