No one thought it was over when they dropped the nuke into the Breach. At least no one with any sense, they had created a window of time to prepare, that was it. No one had any clue how big of a window it was, but the PPDC was kept intact, and many of the Jaegers in Oblivion Bay were restored to functionality within a year after closing the breach. It wasn't long before new jaegers started being produced either. Many non-Pacific countries even producing Jaegers, and building shatterdomes. The Jaeger Program's biggest development didn't come until 2030 though. A system was finally introduced that allowed a single pilot to control a Jaeger safely. It was still an incredibly difficult feat, possibly even more so than with two pilots, but it was implemented in nearly all Jaegers by 2032 due to the incresed performance of a single pilot.
Of course, eventually when people started thinking the Kaiju weren't coming back, everything started getting downsized, workers layed off, even some Jaeger pilots had left after ten years without an attack. That was when it happened, almost as if they knew Earth was at it's weakest. Two attacks, only an hour and a half apart. The first at Ajaccio, Corsica at 3AM GMT July 12th 2035, a Category IV Codenamed: Blackvein. The city was completely wiped out by the time the two responding Jaegers arrived from the new Lisbon Shatterdome, while successfully defeating the Kaiju, both jaegers were severely damaged in the attack when it revealed an ability to shoot spines at it's foes. The second attack was at Toamasina Madagascar, a category IV kaiju named Hammerfiend. This second attack met with much less success, in part because the pilots at the Capetown Shatterdome were already ready when the Kaiju made landfall, and able to respond much quicker. But nonetheless, it set the entire human race reeling once more.
The Kaiju are back, and the only thing standing between the human race and extinction is the Jaegers, and their jockeys.
So, obviously you will be playing Jaeger pilots working for the KDC(Formerly the PPDC, but attacks, and Jaegers outside the Pacific made the name seem wrong. So it is now the Kaiju Defense Corps.)
The Pilot Character Sheet:
Birthdate: (RP starts July 20th 2035)
Combat Training: (Martial Arts, firearms specializations, etcetera.)
Country of Origin:
Name: Catherine 'Cat' Redecker
Birthdate: November 2nd 2007 (Age 27)
Background: Raised in Vancouver, Catherine was as girly as they come growing up, princess dresses, and stuffed animals filled up a hot pink bedroom. She was too young to really understand the magnitude of the Kaiju attacks when they first arrived. That was until Karloff attacked Vancouver. While for most of his rampage through the city she was kept in her house, she did see it on television. She also saw as Brawler Yukon arrived. The fight between the behemoths was like nothing she had ever seen before, their fight even brought them within visible range of her home. She caught glimpses of the battle, the magnitude of the Jaeger, it's sheer power. It was these glimpses that left her enamored with it, and all Jaegers. A love that was even further strengthened when she saw it's pilots on the news later.
After that day she became somewhat obsessed with the Jaeger program, and determined to join the PPDC and become a Jaeger jockey. She researched every Jaeger, and their pilots when she was seventeen she could tell you the build date, kaiju kills, and power source of every Jaeger ever made. Of course that was the same year that the Breach was sealed, and it whole she knew she should have been happy that they had stopped the Kaiju, she was utterly disappointed, her chances to fight Kaiju could very well have been dashed there. That didn't stop her from joining the Jaeger academy though. Unfortunately, while she knew everything about Jaegers, and their pilots in theory, she had no physical or mental training. She struggled throughout her time in the Academy, eventually graduating bottom of her class.
Personality: Catherine is a generally nice girl, though she can definitely be described as obsessive. Being sure to try and know everything about anything that interests her before even considering moving on from it. She is also incredibly naive, making her the butt of many jokes.

Alex Jordan Johnson.
September 2011. (24)
Alex is born in Lawrence, Kansas during the Kaiju war. His childhood was what you'd expect from a young boy from a poor family. He was raised to work hard and to learn how to fight, how to fend for himself. Alex has a long crime-record from his youth. In his late teens he had spent several months in jail, but due to the focus on restablishing the Jaeger program, no government actually really cared about small-time criminals, such as him. At 18 Alex was almost killed by a gangbanger, and it changed his course.
He realized he had done things wrong, and it made him seek out the military. They were reluctant to accept him, but he convinced them to take him in, and much to both his own and their surprise, he excelled.
He graduated top of his class just in time for the Kaiju to resurface. He's put into one of the newer Jaegers.
Alex is seemingly cheerful. He's arrogant but incredibly intelligent. He doesn't seem to worry too much about things, wanting to 'Go with the flow', so to speak.
His ambitions are simple, he strives to be successful, in everything he does. He wants to be the best at whatever he puts his mind to, and he'd be damned if he wouldn't be able to become the best. His goals however are not always on the price. He likes to have fun when not being serious. He likes knocking back some drinks with friends, and he likes
Specialized in tactics and melee combat.
Country of Origin:
Templar Blade: A super-sized blade utilizing sound-waves to boost it's cutting capabilities exponentially. The blade is mounted in a holster on Neon Paladin's back. The holster can through built in' tracks' in the suit move directly to the Jaeger's wrist for easy unsheathing.
Axe Of The Order: Not actually an axe. It's a super-sized hook.
Laser: An optic Laser is mounted into Neon Paladin's headgear. The laser doesn't emit heat or explosive force. Only kinetic force.
Kinetic Absorbation Field, A.K.A 'The Bubble'
Neon Paladin is armed with the ability to generate a kinetic absorption field. The field absorbs kinetic energy and uses it to power the Jaeger.
Boosters are added both on it's back and on it's legs allowing it to dash.
Neon Paladin is as opposed to what the name suggests not a heavy Jaeger. It's a quick moving warrior. It's defenses are sub-par, besides 'The bubble' it's armor is rather thin. However, the Mark VII's were built to be sturdy and mobile. They were built to be the 'Flack Jackets' of Jaegers, so to speak. In melee range it is very powerful, it's sword cuts through most things as if it was butter, and it's axe allows it to tear into it's opponent. And with it's laser it's got a pretty powerful way to disrupt an opponent.
Electrically powered, however, it's got an extra power-source in it's kinetic absorbation. Which basically means that as long as it's moving, it's generating power, even if it's electrical circuits would fail.
Name: Isabella Matilda Avalon Rosemary, Princess of Wales (commonly referred to as Princess Bella)
Birthdate: February 11th, 2017
Country: United Kingdom
Princess Isabella, niece to the King of England and second daughter to the king's brother, never really expected herself to ever step near a jaeger. For her, the Kaiju wars had been something that she had grown up with, and yet at the same time they had always been a distant threat. Growing up in the UK, surrounded by the luxury of the House of Windsor, Isabella always viewed the kaijus in the same way that a child would regard the boogeyman - something frightening to behold, yet at the same time harmless to her.
As a child, her first experiences with the jaeger came about because of her father. The threat to the UK itself was never really considered a significant one, yet nonetheless, they pushed for the quick creation of a jaeger to protect the UK's coastlines...just in case a kaiju ever managed to breech past the Pan Pacific Defenses. The project resulted in the construction of the Royal Spitfire, a jaeger that had been hastily constructed using surplus and excess components from other jaeger models (primarily MkIII, IV, and V components). As a means of demonstrating UK's control of the kaiju situation, Isabella's father, a military man, was chosen as one of the two pilots for the Royal Spitfire. Again, kaijus and jaegers seemed like a surreal entity to Isabella - photo shoots and press releases hardly instilled in her the notion of what these machines represented.
But the Pacific Campaign ended before the Royal Spitfire was ever fully commissioned. Granted, it was never meant to be much more than a large billboard for PR. The Royal Spitfire was moth-balled and put into storage, and Isabella never thought about the strange machine that took so much time away from her daddy.
Fast-forward to 2035, Isabella is now a young woman, reading about the terrifying news of new kaiju attacks. She expected that she would forced to be dragged out to press conferences and photo-ops in the usual 'the Royal Family is with you' mentality that happened every time that the UK faced a crisis. Having decided to follow in her fathers footsteps and enroll in a military college, Isabella figured that this new rise in kaijus would have nothing to do with her. Boy, was the mistaken. A few days later, she received news that the Royal Spitfire was being refurbished and recommissioned for active duty, and apparently something called a 'neurophysiological incompatibility issue' was making it nearly impossible for new pilots to proper link with the Royal Spitfire's operating systems. Apparently the RS had a prototype neural-link system that conformed to the pilot's unique neurology - it made for a better connection, but only for the pilots it was familiar with. It was a problem that was never solved because the Spitfire got mothballed before it was addressed. In the UK's haste to recommission the Royal Spitfire...they had neglected to fix the problem.
So they had been left with the problem - wipe and reformat the Royal Spitfire's entire core systems and build a new one, which would add months to departure (as the newer MkVI systems were incompatible with the older components), or find a way around the peculiarities of the system. They chose option B because, as it turned out, close relatives had similar-enough neurology for the link-ups to work...and Isabella was the only relative of either the original pilots that could do the job. Lucky her...
Headstrong and uptight, but what would you expect from royalty, eh? Not every princess grows up to be meek and humble about their status, although Isabella is far from some kind of arrogant snob. She's used to speaking her mind, maintaining a high level of personal discipline, and expecting nothing short of the best from those around her. She can be a bit overbearing at times, and often deflective of criticisms, and easily gets hostile to those she perceives as a threat. On the outside, she can come across as quaint and friendly, but mostly thanks to practice from being in front of cameras often. In reality, she keeps people at an emotional distance and is slow to trust others.
Combat Training: Currently enrolled in multiple combat training regimes
Name: Royal Spitfire
Build Date: September 9th, 2025
Country of Origin: United Kingdom
Weaponry: MkIII Plasmacaster, MkIII Chainsword
The Royal Spitfire was constructed as a temporary stop-gap measure, which meant that versatility was the primary goal of its design. Jack-of-all-trades, master of none, the Royal Spitfire can hold its own in any role that its assigned, but suffers from never being as good as a specialized Jaeger. It is equipped with the plasmacaster and chainsword of similar build as the MkIII Gipsy Danger, as its forearms were acquired from American surplus components.
The Royal Spitfire was conceived as an emergency measure to ensure that the United Kingdom would have sufficient protection in the event of kaiju attacks breaching beyond the Pacific theatre. However, lacking in the necessary infrastructure to quickly produce their own, the United Kingdom government opted instead to purchase surplus components from other nations and integrate them into a functional Jaeger. The end result was the Royal Spitfire, a bit of a hodge-podge of MkIII, MkIV, and MkV components - it wasn't the prettiest work of engineering, but it served its purpose as an islander defender until full-fledged jaeger production facilities could be completed. Since its construction, however, the Royal Spitfire has been mothballed in favor of newer projects.
The resurgance of the kaiju, however, has prompted the United Kingdom to bring the Royal Spitfire back out of storage and refitted with the new pilotting system. It may be of significantly older make, but its still capable of holding its own in a fight. In theory...
