It was a dark and stormy night It was the average boring day in the Epica region, a land filled with magical wonder which would enchant even the most cynical of ugly bastards. What a wonderfully grand place this fragment of the world was, such vivid diversity in the climates and landscapes, but if only it actually mattered for one second to our good friend Kayne. Indeed, the good detective in training Johnson wasn't going there as a tourist or even have the luxury of taking the role of an average trainer whom could savor the adventurous road that would await him. No, it really wasn't the case for self-proclaimed amazing investigator, he had the utmost important duty to fulfill and that would be to do his casual police work on X weird things which had occurred in recent times.
The Pidoves were chirping on tree branches, the Glameows were purring on the edge of windows, wild Zigzagoons were digging into trash cans in hopes to find some satisfying spoils for its very survival. Kayne could witness all of this in the cab he was riding which employed rather big roads before taking smaller ones to reach the piece of history known as Numera town. It would be when Johnson's eyelids would begin to get very heavily and nearly close that the cab driver would piratically belch out the phrase "We're here kid, ge'out!", which of course stimulated rather violently the young boy's attention and rapidly pushed him into his more active state. In order to pay the trip, the boy would simply give the driver a card with a phone number which would link him to the International Police in order to actually get paid.
Once out, the boy wouldn't have any luggage in the trunk of the vehicle, oh no, he would have to travel light from now on considering he would have to investigate many towns and would have to do with Pokemon centers or police bases. The town wasn't too difficult to get through: He had a map on his Holocaster which would help him a bunch orienting himself through the area. Eventually his figure would end up standing before the building designated as the town's lab where El Professor Atlas would sleep and await his next test subjects for his Pokedex thing, whatever he wanted. Setting his cap straight so it wouldn't fall like last time in the middle of his little display. LITTLE display indeed... As he took one last deep, suddenly...
... Kayne barged in the place with tremendous running speed for no apparent reason, probably to imitate his idol whom had the tendency to run into situations despite the fact that most of the heat was handled. As he got close enough to the bunch of people whom were gathered near the professor, he'd set one foot before him so he could slow his momentum and finally stop in the middle of the group. But of course, this wouldn't be enough, he had to make an entire scene. The Klefki he had, though not being referred to recently, knew when it had to shine and now was exactly the time. Using its ability Prankster outside of a battle, it would be able to do just that, pranks. Here it would simply scrabble the powerbox that handled the lights of the lab, nothing else, only activating the few that would gleam toward the young detective, taking a rather stylish pose with his cap lowered to a point where his eyes would be invisible. Slowly lift the headgear only to have his sight capture the females to whom he'd perform an over-the-top wink before spinning his body so he could face the professor.
"Kayne Johnson of the International Police here. There is no need to fear anything from now on, you and your Pokemon are safe as long as you follow my orders! I come here to investigate and see if there have not been any odd events going on, or possibly even find a potential suspect."
He'd say rather rapidly, as if he were in a hurry but also to keep the rather exciting theme going as all the lights went back on when he finished his set of sentences. Kelfki, named Officer Petersen by Johnson himself, would in the occasion join its master, levitating over his shoulder as the boy commenced his search for clues. He'd would, in a somewhat sporadic way, run around the lab with his eyes scurrying every detail for clues while he'd occasionally check his Holocaster to confirm that nothing was stolen or nothing had randomly disappeared. And finally, he'd just snag a specific pokeball during his frenzy and would dash back to the professor. The whole process would have taken about twenty minutes for he had only checked a portion of the room before retrieving the item.
"It would seem things are fine for now. Is there anything you want to report to me? I can assure you I will help you if something's wrong. If these kids are taking you as hostage just say yes by winking twice."
He'd say that last part with a weak tone, heck he was whispering so he could actually appear genuine there. Of course, after not even a second of time given for the Prof to answer, he'd turn to something else such as releasing his pokemon! As the Torchic came out, he'd simply slap a paper on the Prof's hand even though it wasn't presented in the first place.
"This is a warrant by the department. I require this Pokemon. I shall name you... Officer Norton. Yes that sounds convenient. Oh and this is Officer Petersen."
He'd introduce the Torchic to the Kelfki before he'd direct his stare directly at the Professor's direction as if he were expecting some response from the man regarding whatever he could actually follow from Kayne's dynamic entry.
