So, I had a dream last night. It was short, and only the beginning of what could have been a great story to experience in a dream. But it did give me a nice premise for a new rp. I'll start with the story first. Guidelines and other info will be at the bottom.
Vampires are dangerous creatures of the night. The turning process turns victims crazy, evil. It's like they live to hunt, feed, and inflict misery and pain to humans. Even more, a single bite can turn you into one of them. Luckily, they're only creatures of fantasy and myth, right? Wrong. In this world, vampires are very real. And everyone knows they exist. Luckily, most people never come into contact with them. Or if they do, they only notice the next morning. Vampires mostly hunt by sneaking into homes, giving humans an anaesthetic, making a small wound, and draining blood from there. The next morning, the humans only know because they feel light-headed and have a wound on their arm or leg. In turn, humans have vampire hunters working for the FBI, and security systems to prevent vampires from entering homes, or to just detect their lower temperature bodies. This delicate balance has been kept up for over 100 years.
However there are exceptions. Vampires that retain their sanity, and humans that seek a solution to the constant power struggle. Only about 1 in 1000 retain their sanity though, so they have always been seen as just another vampire. That is, until one day a sane female vampire is captured. A scientist decides to use this vampire as a test subject. She is brought to a facility where she is tested on, treated as a common lab rat. Yet instead of becoming hateful of humans, she just became more and more afraid. Then after a few years, she finally managed to escape the facility. With pursuers close behind the vampire finds herself taking refuge in a high school. There she takes a teacher and 5 teenage students hostage.
That is when a vampire hunter squad of 3 people is called on. They are to capture the vampire if possible, and otherwise kill her. However the leader is a bit...different you could say. He decides on neither option. Instead, he wants to take her with him, being confident that he can convince her to join them in their hunt. Both to kill the crazies, and to find other sane ones. She is still terrified of humans, and doesn't even want to trust anyone. Yet something tells her that this man might speak the truth.
So! After that wall of text I should go on to the details I'd say. The rp would start during the hostage situation. I'm looking for someone to play either the squad leader and one of the squad members, or the vampire and one of the squad members.
Some details about the vampires in this world:
-They aren't immortal, but do age at a 5x slower rate than humans.
-They can't regenerate by themselves but their saliva has regenerative properties, giving a whole new meaning to 'licking ones wounds'.
-They are about 2 times faster, more nimble and stronger than the average human, but at least the crazies lack in skill. Humans can only keep up because they can outmaneuver vampires.
-They're not undead and don't turn to ashes in the sun. But they do have severe UV allergy, where even a second of exposure produces severe, painful blisters and 3rd degree burns. They also have built-in night vision so they can function at night.
-Normal weapons can be used against them, no silver or wooden stakes needed.
-Vampires have a stronger sense of smell. So strong, unpleasant smells like garlic, vinegar or ammonia can repel them up to a point.
Now, on to some guidelines!
-Be able to post every 3~4 days. Basically twice a week on average.
-Post length should be a minimum of 1 long or 2 smaller paragraphs. Exceptions are allowed of course.
-Romance, definitely. I love romance in 1 on 1's. The idea is for a romance to eventually start between the leader and vampire.
-If you want to stop the rp, say so. I hate people that just stop posting. But I don't complain when my partner no longer finds the rp interesting.
-I'd prefer playing the vampire and one of the squad members, but if I can't find interest for the leader, I can play the leader as well.
