Welcome to Dymentia
A newer map made by a better cartographer by the name of Yivitte Ingils
''A long time ago, in an era we call 'The Time Of Twilight', the land of Dymentia was a barren wasteland. The People who lived there, had no means of survival. The goddess Aura and the god Macus felt sorry for the weak ones. So they shared the power of Irn with the People of Dymentia.
The power of Irn allowed the People to transform the lands to their will and grow beyond their normal capabilities. It allowed them to change nature and climate and travel the lands in other ways. Thus Dymentia became a fertile and beautiful land. But it was short lived... The People began to settle their conflicts with the power of Irn, using the nature against their foes. Icy mountains, huge deserts, overgrowing swamps and charred lands covered the first so lush and green plains of Dymentia.
Aura and Macus looked down upon their People, and saw what they did with the powers they were given. They felt no anger, only shame. The full power of Irn was too much to handle for one race. So they split the power of Irn into many. The People were confused and scared for their now diminished power. They retreated to lands that suited them best and stayed there to grow and live on.
Many years passed, giving the weakened People the time to master their separated Irn. And with their self-confidence coming back, so too came back the fire in the heart of the People. The fires of war. This time, the wars were mainly focused on a tribe with an opposite power of Irn, because when the Goddess and God split the Irn into many, they, unintentionally, attached the Irn to the personalities. Fire would be fierce, water would be calm... But would also hate each other.
Again the Goddess Aura and God Macus looked down to their land of Dymentia and found the People waging war once more. They still did not blame the People, for their reasons of anger was their fault. So they build magical walls and temples across the lands that separated the tribes of each other. Thus also creating the borders of the present provinces. The God and Goddess were pleased with their work and turned back to sleep once more.
Decades passed without People ever passing one of the walls. They gave up after so many attempts. Instead they focused on research and science. But not just normal science. No... The People began to uncover the secrets of the Irn. They tried for many years, and some of the People succeeded into creating their own strings of Irn. But these People were quickly cast out of their tribes or cities, for it were abominations to the Pure Irn. Yet, these new powers of Irn managed to bring down the magical barriers of the walls and temples, making them nothing but a bunch of stones. People quickly began to notice and started tearing down the walls. But the Desert People didn't want to anymore. They were done with the fighting and so they kept their wall up with their power of Irn. Even after thousands of years, the wall still stands to this day. But other tribes didn't share their ideas and continued to fight one another. The wars started small, so the God and Goddess didn't notice at first, but as the years passed, the wars started growing, and eventually caught the attention of the Holy Twins. They sighed and a hurricane swept across the land. They cried and a flood washed away the armies of the People. They pondered and thought of a final solution for days and days, while the remaining armies waited, for they knew something was about to happen. Aura and Macus finally understood that the People were unguided projectiles who, without guidance would always fall towards war. So they came up with an idea to guide these projectiles instead. They created two new strings of Irn, directly tapped out of their own hearts. Macus created the Darkness, while Aura created the Light. They granted these strings to two newborn babies. These two would balance the powers of Dymentia for once and for all. It had to, because the Holy Twins did not have the powers to help the People anymore. When they tapped into their own hearts, they gave away a part of their life force. The Twins were dying.
The years passed and the two babies grew up into fine young man without knowledge of their powers. But on their 18th birthday, the God and Goddess appeared before them, and explained who they were and what their purpose was. Aura, who appeared before Eliah, the boy with the powers of Light, explained that the boy had to make peace between all the different cites and tribes. But Macus... When he tapped into his heart and wove the string of Darkness, he corrupted himself and so the baby Yigris too. When Macus finally appeared before him, he explained that there was an evil in this world. And that this evil was being spread by his sister Aura, through the boy known as Eliah. The Holy Twins gave the two boys a holy sign that all the People would recognize. With their last breaths, they trained the boys in their new power and signed a contract with Time, also known as Aetas. Once one of the boys would die, another would be born with the special String of the Holy Twins. And then they passed away... The Holy Twins gave their lives for the land of Dymentia. But their deaths were in vain, for the corruption had already spread.
While Eliah travelled the lands, from capital to capital, explaining the kings of all the Strings that the fighting had to be stopped, Yigris travelled from capital to capital to amass an army against Eliah. Though his actions did not go unnoticed by the young Eliah, and he started raising an army of his own, to stop the plans of Yigris.
Eventually the two armies met on The Empty Plains. This was a war as never seen before, because the stakes were higher this time. This time, it was not just the Peoples instincts that led them. It was an idea, a leader. But in the end... a war stays a war, no matter the idea behind it. For weeks they battled, with no end in sight. And after two months of continuous battle, only two people remained on the battlefield. Yigris and Eliah. The two boys continued to battle, for even without their armies, they still had their ideas of a perfect world. A world without the other. Days became weeks, weeks became months and months became years. The two continued to battle fiercely, while the world around them watched. 70 years they battled and then... they finally rested their blades and powers. For they were tired and wanted to rest. They agreed to both retreat to a place to their liking and await their deaths, for they had failed the plan of the Holy Twins. And thus retreated Eliah back to to Eastern Province which he named Aurelia after the Goddess Aura who granted him his power. With the help of other Powers, he created a white city. A safe haven for all, which he named Utopis. This would be the Seat of Light and his gift to the world. Here, he also managed to create a jewel which would contain a sample of the very first string of Aura. Yigris, on the other hand, retreated to the Western borders and entered the Charred Lands. Corruption had spread in the years, and this was the place he felt comfortable with. With the help of his remaining allies, he surrounded himself with mountains and an enchanted wall. He created his own cities and citadels in these lands. His capital would bear the name 'Yigran' the Seat of Darkness, named after his father. Here, he created a glove with a sample of the very first string of Macus.
And thus this cycle came to an end and the two died without knowing that the cycle would restart. Although they thought they had failed in bringing peace to the lands, the other kings had been struck by the devotion of the two. So much even, that they refused to wage war again. Of course, this was a promise their descendants could not keep. Luckily, they had a Light and Darkness to watch over them.''
-'The Time Before Cycles' as written by Pyiantis Dartus (written in the 52th Cycle)
A chapter of the book 'Stories of Deities and their encounters with the People’.
''Many of the People have asked themselves: ‘’Who or what is Time?’’. Light and Darkness answered the question in their 24th cycle, for they struck a deal with him. Together, they went on a journey throughout Dymentia to reactivate the temples that were placed in ‘The Time of Twilight’ and thus establishing contact between the People and the Aspects and gods.
The reason for this deal was the following. For 23th constructive cycles Light and Darkness died and were reborn without any knowledge of their powers. They had to learn their powers through books and scrolls left by their previous forms. Highly inconvenient one would imagine. So Prebus, Carrier of Light and Amalia, Carrier of Darkness made a truce and tried to eliminate this problem.
Coming in contact with Aetas was harder than expected. Getting the temples up was one thing, but they also needed to create a bridge between two, far apart, worlds which hadn’t touched for hundreds of years. Combining the powers of Light and Darkness managed to create a portal. It allowed the two to get to the plane of Deities. Once Prebus and Amalia arrived, they were confronted by several different Aspects for they were accused of murder of Aura and Macus, but were quickly saved by Time itself. According to my ‘source’, Aetas did indeed look like one of the People, and so did many of the other Aspects. But I did get the explanation that they just looked like that for convenience sake.
Prebus, Amalia stated their wishes to Aetas: To let the newborns be born 20 years earlier then they would die, so they had 3 years to train the new Light and Dark. Aetas accepted... for a price. The price is unknown to this day, for both Light and Dark had to promise not to speak of it. Time can wait, and the price could be thousands of years away for now. Or maybe the price was in the past. But that is none of our concern. So Prebus and Amalia managed to get the deal done with Aetas, and they were send back to the realm of the People.
So because of a deal with Time, is it now so that 20 years before either Light and Darkness die, the new ones will be born. This caused some major problems the first time, because the strings of Irn had to be shared between two separate people, which caused weakness and nausea to all four wearers... But they adapted to it, and we live by these rules up to the present days.''

A report which describe the events in the 99th Cycle
''A new Cycle began as the Light and Dark faded away. Riha, Bearer of Light and Tirius, Bearer of Darkness passed away to make place for their predecessors Iquela and Glamia. It has been 28 Cycles since both Bearers were both female. Last time it ended in a truce where nothing happened an entire cycle. Unfortunately, this wasn’t going to happen this time.
Defilers of the Speed string managed to create a new string of Irn, which gave themselves the power over Time. They started misusing this power, and although they were with only five, they still managed to defeat the greatest armies. Light and Darkness first tried contacting Aetas to see if he could help, but the new strings had weakened him and he could be no help to our heroes. So instead having a Cycle of fighting or truces, the two teamed up against this threat to creation itself.
While Iquela didn’t want to hurt her subjects, Glamia raised massive armies to defeat the five Defilers. This led to fiery arguments which even led to the attack on Solem, the Seat of Light and it’s capture by the armies of Glamia. This was the first time in 99 Cycles that both Seats fell under one of the Strings. In the meantime, the Defilers continued to rampage the lands around them, disrupting time and life in their quake. Iquela, Bearer of Light now had no Seat, and was kicked from the city. Instead of trying to take back her Seat, she went after the Defilers, for they were the bigger threat to Dymentia for now.
Without her Seat, Iquela’s powers were weakend, and when she finally found the five, she was beaten in a blink of the eye. Literally! Since her opponents could simply stop time at their will.
Meanwhile in Solem, the Seat of Light, Glamia ruled with an iron fist. She even tried to corrupt the Seat itself! Fortunately, the String of Aura was strong enough to repel the corruption. But not only that... An image of the died Goddess Aura appeared before Glamia and teleported her to the defeated Iquela. Glamia could not help to feel sorry for the Bearer of Light, and she helped her counterpart recover. The two were now out in the wild without really knowing where they were, so all they could do was continue with their very first plan: Destroy the Defilers and make Dymentia safe once more.
A hunt of many weeks... or months... or years... followed. Nobody really knows, since during the encounters, there was a lot of messing with time. But with the combined forces of Light and Darkness, the two slowly managed to defeat the Defilers one by one. It hadn’t been an easy task, and it had drained much of the Irn inside of them. And by the time they finished their job, they were already gray and old. Their Cycle was coming to an end. Glamia returned the Seat of Light to Iquela and she returned to Yigrim, the Seat of Darkness.
Just two weeks ago, the Bearers of Light and Darkess felt their Strings split. This meant their predecessors were born and that a new Cycle would begin soon.''

The nearing 100 has caused for quite a bit fear in the land. Will the new Light and Dark be able to maintain order, or will they wage war once more? But let's not forget... It's not only Light and Dark who determine the fate of Dymentia. The People also determine the fate of Dymentia. Who will they ally with? What will the Kings of the Strings do? Johan the Kind played by MULTIMEDIAMAN
Name: Johan the Kind
String/tribe/birthplace: Arcane, born in the Capital City
He's about 6'2" and 200 pounds, with light hazel eyes and chestnut hair.
Adventurer's Satchel (Indiana Jones wore a satchel, so don't any of y'all start hating) which contains bandages, extremely powerful alcohol (for disinfectant), several lengths of cloth for tailoring, as well as a small box with needle and thread.
Two waterskins which wrap around his waist
Quote: "You think I'm in this for myself? For the money? I travel into dark caves, fight off bandits and deal with dozens of traps to get some random guy's father's sword that is as dull as a bread knife! I do this because some people can't help themselves. So somebody's gotta do it."
I want to be (check one): [ ] Light. [ ] Darkness. [X] Neither.
Biography/Background: Biography/Background: Johan was the third-born, and the second-born son, to a wealthy farming family, which produced a disproportionately large amount of crops compared to most other farms. However, this wasn't due to slave labor or anything of the like: the family exclusively hired Arcane string users, and trained them to carefully use their abilities to prune crops, eliminate pests and clear rows of earth so that plants could be planted with a proper amount of space between them. Johan, as second-born, luckily avoided the expectations of taking over the farms, which his brother was more than willing to do. The work on the farm helped the young man develop a powerful musculature, because no matter how much magic you use, you have to pick the crops yourself, transport them yourself, and clean them yourself. At the same time, the long hours gave him a farmer's stamina and patience, which he uses to his great advantage in battle.
When he was 16, the family ranch was invaded by a group of bandits and mercenaries. However, their goal wasn't to pillage, rape, kill or loot: they only sought the farm's destruction. Johan, his brother, his father, and the farm's workers armed themselves with tools to try and protect the farm's cash crops, under the line of thought that they could at least sell those and feed themselves. That day, Johan's brother and his father were wounded, and Johan was forced to take up the mantle of a killer to protect his family. While he never felt any regret for what he did, his brother was a peaceful man and didn't want any bloodshed. The ideological differences between the two eventually became insurmountable, and as the eldest son grew older and older, it was clear which of the two was the more worldly and mature. Johan bid his family goodbye at the age of 19, setting off with a small fortune, supplies to keep himself alive, and a pitchfork.
Since then, he has worked for knights to protect, regular men to retrieve. He has fought to protect and to kill, and has traveled far and wide. He's seen the Empty Plains as well as the Northern Desert, and his tales are many and magnificent.
His halberd was forged by the Weapon Masters near the Arcane capital, and his armor is a creation of the metalworkers of the Metal string's capital city.
Triana Bouteller played by Love To Write
Name: Triana Bouteller
String/tribe/birthplace: Triana was born on the border of Medietas near the Air Capital City/Weapon Master
She has short dark red hair and golden eyes. (Many rumor that she used to be blond but her hair is now dyed with the blood of her victims.) Her only visible scar is the one on her collarbone. It is nearly 3 inches long, an obvious sword wound. Triana can most often be seen clad in black chain mail. However, when she is about to go on an assassination mission, she removes the chain mail and don's black clothing, so the sound can't give her away.
Occupation: Assassin for the current Dark Lord. She rarely speaks to the Dark Lord directly, though, and receives orders from his 2nd in command instead.
Inventory: A Sword, 3 Knives (I'm not telling where she hides them...yet), and two needle daggers about 2 1/2 inches long. They look like black sticks holding up her hair. All her weapons are made of black steel. A metal that her father taught her to create with a mixture of other metals. She has never had a weapon break on her.
Quote: "May your sacrifice ultimately lead to the destruction of the light."
I want to be (check one): [ ] Light. [ ] Darkness. [X] Neither. (Just an ally of darkness)
Biography/Background: Triana's father was a weapon's master. Having no male ere to pass his skill down to he trained Triana instead. He taught her everything he knew. When she was 17, and her father was lying on his death bed, he told her this, "Use the skills I have taught you to defend our Lord Darkness from Light. They will ruin the world forever if they aren't stopped. Promise me, you'll become his most faithful servant." And so Triana promised to uphold their Lord's wishes and to defend their kingdom from Light's growing army.
Carus Halbritter played by AgentOrange
Name: Carus Halbritter
String/tribe/birthplace: Carus is a psychic/staves user, born in the province of Tuyinvo, in the Psychic capital city of Ordo.
Inventory: Carus uses a staff that is made of Ironwood, a certain type of petrified wood found north of Ordo. It has nearly the tensile strength of steel (and requires steel to be cut), and is highly conductive to the psychic power of the wielder. Carus is skilled in using the staff as both a conduit for his abilities and as an unassuming weapon. A decorative, yet utilitarian Ironwood broach on the front of Carus' robes, shaped in the crest of the city of Ordo, acts as a battery that 'catches' excess psychic energy. Carus also carries around general supplies, currency, vellum, and a quill/ink in a knapsack.
Quote: "I seek the knowledge that only the power of the mind can unearth."
I want to be (check one): [ ] Light. [ ] Darkness. [X] Neither.
Biography/Background: Born in the heavily urbanized city of Ordo, Carus Halbritter is no stranger to the stigma surrounding psychic users. From a young age, his connection to Psychic Irn set him apart from other youths. His family sent him to work as a scribe for officials in the Ordo city-state, hoping to distance themselves from Carus' latent and terrifying power. Despite the potential power that Carus could wield, he turned that power inward, seeking to learn instead of manipulate other people, very much different from other Psychics. While working as a scribe, Carus secretly consulted tomes in Palace Ordo's library, wanting to discover more about the primeval forces that governed his powers. Through experimentation and very, very late hours, Carus learned that the Psychic Irn that permeated the province of Tuyinvo was naturally attracted to Ironwood, petrified wood that was eons old. Carus understood that the balance of Irn couldn't be maintained if his more controlling brethren abused the power of Ironwood, so Carus destroyed all evidence pertaining to Ironwood and it's potential uses and left Ordo to learn more about the other Strings, ever thirsting for knowledge.
Kinetic bolt- A psychic missile that has carries a high amount of kinetic energy, equivalent to the crushing blow of a very large warhammer.
Barrier- A psychically powered wall that can be projected. Carus can only manifest this for a couple of seconds
Mindfray- Carus attacks a target's perceptions of reality; chance of success depends upon a target's willpower
Empower- Carus increases the morale of an ally and removes the effects of terror
Rathdar Nayudi played by Dethran
Name: Rathdar Nayudi
Lands and titles
Endless Quiver (crystal bolts)
Pouch of Mindbreak Dust (potent hallucinogen, also lowers the victims defences to psychic assaults)
Healing tools (bandages, needle & thread, dried medicinal herbs, etc.)
Quote: "There are very few problems that cannot be solved by quick thinking and a level head."
I want to be (check one): [ ] Light. [ ] Darkness. [x] Neither.
Biography: Born the middle child of a Tuyinvan noble, Rathdar was never exactly a favored child. He could tell that his parents still cared for him, but his older brother got the attention appropriate to the heir the house, and his sister, the last child, got nearly all the remaining attention that they had for children, leaving him with only his tutors for companionship. This arrangement quickly began to suit him quite well, as a thirst for learning even greater than typical for others of the psychic string awoke within him.
Additionally, at a very young age, he showed a rather remarkable aptitude for various forms of telepathy, and with his level of raw power, it was initially difficult to control. As such, the time away from the care and noise of his family came as a welcome relief, when he could just be away from people and practice a more inward focus.
After learning quite literally everything the various tutors his parents hired had to offer, Rathdar struck out to see what more there was to learn across the lands. As a parting gift, his primary mentor, who taught him everything he could about Irn and its uses, gave him a crystal dagger, which resonates with various psychic powers, allowing for more effective application when creatively used. The quiver he picked up along his travels grows crossbow bolts of a similar type of crystal, allowing for similar uses as the dagger at greater distances.
Cadeyrn Heldar played by EerieGhoul
Name: Cadeyrn Heldar
String/tribe/birthplace: Medietas / Metal CC (I did that right?)
Appearance: Short dark hair, brilliant green eyes, is 5'9" and weighs 182 pounds. He has a bit of stubble from travelling a lot and not being able to shave properly. (I am sorry for no picture. I will post one if I find one.)
Occupation: Works for the person with the most money, so is a robber, assassin and many things before.
Inventory: Carries a sword and has two daggers at all times. The blade is a long one, sheathed on Cadeyrn's belt. The daggers are not huge, but fairly long. The weapons are all made of steel, and the sword hilt has ivory vines engraved, swirling down the hilt, with some engravings that are rusting in an unknown language that was passed down the Heldar Blood Family. He has a backpack filled with only the essential things for survival.
Quote: "If the job ain't for the money, then it ain't for me. And if it ain't for me, go off and find someone who cares about your pathetic jobs."
"Don't scream - it will be very fast - you will be dead before you know it."
I want to be (check one): [ ] Light [ ] Darkness [X] Neither (Works for who pays.)
Biography/Background: Cadeyrn was born to the Heldar family, a family that usually serve the Light. He was part of the Metal String, and he had two sisters but no brothers. He was the middle child. Cadeyrn's mother was murdered while Cade was still four winters old after drunks who tried to force her to sleep with them murdered her. It was a tragedy that struck the eldest sister and the father more than Cade and the youngest as they were young.
At the age of 12 Cade's father taught his son about how to fight and survive in the wild. They learned how to hunt and all the necessary information required for survival. However there was an event...the father was out one day and roared. Cadeyrn and his sisters charged out and saw guards standing on front of their beloved father, holding blades to his throat. He pleaded to live but the guards told him he had betrayed the Light and slit his throat. As his sisters looked and wept over their dying father, Cade was speechless. The guards rode off and the father, Saithdar whispered his last words. "Find them and avenge the Light...and the Darkness." The sisters pleaded Cadeyrn to stay but he left, to find answers to the reasoning of his father's death.
While travelling through a small village in the middle of nowhere Cadeyrn found one of the guards drinking in the pub - and he went mad. In his hatred he punched the guard and after a long fight cracked open the enemy's skull. He became an outlaw, hiding for nine years, living by doing missions given to him. He will do anything for money or to find the answers. He will avenge his father - whatever the cost.

Name: Mercur Olygri
String/tribe/birthplace: Air/Pharenhae, A small village south of the Air capital city.
Mercur Olygri is small and quite petite girl. Her hair is thick, of black color and wild, tied up with a bandana to keep it at bay, and her eyes are brown-golden. She has rough weather bitten skin, after all of the work at the farmland and fruit-orchards that her family owns, and she has a long scar stretching from her wrist up her left arm to mid upper arm after she fell of a tree once aswell as a few other scars and bruises from her work at the orchardHer clothes are simple. A pair of cloth pants and a shirt that matches, tanned brown and green. She mostly walks barefoot because she works with climbing the trees to harvest the orchard and finds it easiest to do so bare footed.
Inventory: A small knife, water pouch, penny pouch, a lantern.
Quote: "Why should I listen to you?"
I want to be: [ ] Light. [X] Darkness. [ ] Neither.
Biography/Background: Mercur Olygri was born under unfair and harsh conditions. Her father poor, and her mother died giving birth to her. Her father did what he could to take care of her the best he could, however as a new born child, chances were low of survival unless you had someone to help. He had heard that in the Village of Pharenhae, south of the capital, of a famous brewery called Baltič Aero, The lady of the house had just lost her new born child. As a last hope, he traveled to the brewery and offered two lifetimes of servings as well as everything he owned for the slim chances that she would accept Mercur as her own, and nurse her up to good health.
In mourning Lady Fay accepted and took care of Mercur as her own. But as the years went the differences between Mercur and Lady Fey, both physically and mentally became too much for Lady Fey, especially since Lady Fey had to pretend that Mercur was her own, not to get disowned by society for taking in a stray. It might seem honorable amongst farmers, but as a rich lady, it was not a good thing. She became abusive towards Mercur, and Mercur's father, demanded more work, and eventually when Mercur only was 4 years old, Mercurs Father passed away from an illness.
After that life was simple but harsh. Her mother (Lady Fey, the only mother Mercur knows of) pushed her to work hard, and do exactly what she was told, both at home and at work. And Mercur hated it. She was too scared to oppose at first, but at the age of 11 she started realizing that something was wrong, when they took her out on dinners and gatherings, and she saw the other Ladies children, and their likeness. Some kids even looked at her weirdly and kept away from her, and she started to realize her and her mothers differences. She started to question her youth, and at the age of 14 she asked where she was from.
Lady Fey went mad. She ran up to Mercur and started beating her with the broom that she held in her hand, and Master Fey only stood by and watched, having warned Mercur what would happen if Lady Fey was questioned. Lady Fey beat her to the point of unconsciousness and only when she was held back by Master Fey, she had stopped. Mercur had fortunally for the Fey's made an recovery, slowly but surely. She had little memory of that night, but Master Fey convinced her that the injuries she had sustained were from her falling down one of the orchard trees but Mercur new better. However she stuck to Master Fey's story.. Since then, Mercur was scared, and didn't dare to question much more, but as she grew older, she grew stronger. Her skin had toughened and she had been force to grow up quickly. She started asking Master Fey what the differences were, and Master Fey would sometimes answer, but mostly just silently watch or ignore.
Now at the age of 18 Mercur knows more or less truths, and has become more rebelious over the last weeks as Master Fey has gone away on a marketing trip. Name: Celestine "Celeste" Cinderford
String/Tribe/Birthplace: Life/Aurelia/Capital City
Appearance: Celeste has shoulder length black hair, purple eyes, and fair skin. She wears a simple white cloth dress with long sleeves that go to her wrists, a brown leather apron and shoes, and she wears a blue hair ribbon when she bakes.
Inventory: A black cloak, a lantern, a money bag, and a pouch to put in various objects she collected.
Personality: Celeste knows a lot, ask her about anything in the local area and she will most likely know something, rumours or otherwise, this has gotten to a point where she gets extermely peeved when someone gives her information she already knows because she thinks that the other person thinks of her as stupid. Fortunately, this event is very rare, although she has been noted to throw a rage induced fit because of this. Other than that she is a calm, but cynical person. Her baking has been loved by the cityfolk, so she is well known in the city. Her cynicism comes from the fact that her life is monotonous and dull, and she has been wishing to go to a life away from her own, but didn't because she feels that she needs to continue her bakery for the cityfolk and that she is too ill-prepared to pursue an adventurous life. Celeste does however occasionally wander around during her bakery's closing hours searching for things to her collection of odds and ends.

Born the sole heir of the Sassolino family and their estate of Zyzzeran, he has lived a comfortable if lonely and melancholy life. He was brought under the care of the family’s servants and his peculiar company Orujo, a magical mechanical bat. Despite his formal education which indeed included gentlemanly socializing, he is a bit weird and reclusive. Never having a friend outside of Orujo and never really bothering with invitations to socials and gatherings. Instead he prefers to stay home overseeing the wine production and study more about his parents and their past exploits which is tied to a most peculiar keepsake; a suit of bat themed armor of magic both in creation and property which can only be worn by using Orujo.
His father, the prior owner of the estate had been a dashing explorer, probing the unknown depths in search of lost knowledge concerning the Irn and strings. Falling in love with his rival turn partner/wife they continued their adventures, stopping when she got pregnant with their child. However that did not stop their search for knowledge for in a prior adventure they had stumbled upon a most interesting piece of information. Said knowledge culminated as secret experiment with only the most trusted of friends the creation of this armor.
However such secrets were also highly wanted by people of a more dangerous stripe. Foreseeing a violent encounter all manner of documents were scattered about and of course what made Orujo the key to donning the armor. Just in time it seemed these covering actions were made for when he was just an infant the Manor was attacked by this group seeking knowledge. During that night his parents and some guards charged out to fight against the intruders. They successfully repelled them with only some property damage and stolen documents counted as losses. However the most perplexing thing is that his parents never came back and nobody knows what happened to them.
It has only been recently that he had been deemed physically mature enough to handle the armor. And as such he took in secret physically training to allow for better performance while probing its secrets. As well as digging into the research his parents with him piecemealing the scattered clues in a very frustrating and slow process which has been yielding some fascinating things but no real answer. Much to his constant chagrin, Orujo says he does not have any memories involving these secrets, while he might be lying he rather wishes it is and not just another hurdle in this never-ending challenge.

I want to be (check one): [ ] Light. [ ] Darkness. [X] Neither.
Biography/Backstory: Verdach was born to a highly repsected clan of mercenaries and monster slayers. Verdach's father was a retired monster slayer and adventurer. Growing up Verdach would often listen to his father's tales of fighting supernatural beasts. Listening to these stories, Verdach wanted to become a monster slayer just like his father. At the age of 6, Verdach's father began training his son in the ways of combat and monster tracking.
The training was brutal at times. The reason Verdach's father pushed him so hard was so he could prepare his son for the monstrosities that await in the farthest recesses of Dymentia. In order to do that, Verdach's body was pushed to its absolute limits. His father also taught him how track particular monsters and showed what signs to look for when hunting them. The two most important skills Verdach were taught was swordsmanship and alchemy.
The training continued for 15 years. By the time Verdach was 21, he finished his training as a monster slayer. Before he left home, Verdach's father gave him his steel longsword as a parting gift. Leaving home, Verdach set out to slay monsters.
Roaming the continent of Dymentia for 38 years, Verdach slayed countless monsters beast and humans alike. It was during these times that his skill with the blade reached master level. His body became accustomed to the many potions Verdach consumed and the result was his body retaining its youthful vigor and vitality. He also gained a reputation of arriving in a village harassed by monsters and once the situation was dealt with, he would dissappear and would travel alone, hence his nick name "The Lone Lynx".
