"Hey, Watch it!"
"Get out of the road you idiots!"
The voices screamed as someone chased after another through the busy streets of Chicago. Benjamin Chase was in pursuit of a man suspected of murdering a man in cold blood, and he couldn't let this man get away. His brown hair was messy yet perfect, his eyes dark green and lively. He also had a small stubble on his chin and cheeks. A sign of him working so much that he forgot to shave. He wore a trench coat with a dark blue sweater underneath and white t-shirt under that. He wore jeans, and some comfortable shoes as he slid over cars and pushed people out of the way. Ben was one of the best homicide detectives out there. There was a reason for that. They both ran into an alleyway, the suspect leapt over the fence and Ben was quickly behind. He got to the top of the fence and leapt for the man, landing on him in success. "Ah, son of a bitch!" He yelled as Ben took out handcuffs, panting heavily. As he cuffed the man seconds later officers came into the alley. "Way to go, Chase... " One said, taking the suspect once Ben was done. He got up and gave a nod to them as he felt his phone ring. He pulled it out and walked away as he answered it. "Detective Benjamin Chase. Chicago Police Department." He stated, expecting one of his co workers. He wasn't expecting the sound of the familiar voice of his older brother, Todd though.
"Yeah, of course I can make it.... I would be honored.... No no no, I'll pay for the ticket. I'll fly over there Wednesday.... Again, Congratulations, Todd... I'll see you soon... bye." Benjamin disconnected his phone in his apartment in Downtown Chicago. It was a rather nice apartment. Very large and had the necessities that everyone needed. Electricity, a working kitchen, bed, dish tv, and food. He had just gotten off the phone with his brother telling him the news that he was getting married to his highschool sweetheart... What is disappointing is that he hasn't even tried making contact with his brother ever since he left years ago... Ben always looked up to Todd. He adored him, and they were the best friends... He guessed his career got the best of him.... But he was going to make it up to him... He was going to be the best man of his wedding... He wondered what his hometown was like... if it changed... if anyone changed... if anyone would remember him....
