The World's End
So I decided to revive my very very ancient RP after redoing the combat system. Let me know if you have any suggestions or questions!
In the distant future the world is a desolate wasteland. Cities now stand in ruins and humanity lives on, faced with starvation and strife. Every year the sound of a bell can be heard from the horizon. It rings once, then twice, calling those who would listen to its eerie melody. It is said that those who follow the sound are taken to a faraway place, a paradise where life and death do not exist, to a time when the world was rich and vibrant with life. One amongst thousands who make it to this place is then chosen to become god. Their wish made true, the soil made fertile, or if they desired, the massacre of those who remain.
You are one of the people chosen to become god. You must defeat your opponents and improve your fledging powers. For once one of you achieves omniscence. The world is yours.
Rules For Combat
This is a free for all tournament. You are a challenger attempting to become god. You start out with 3 rank E powers. How you rank up your powers will be stated in the power ranking section. There will be five rounds or less depending on activity. Pay attention attention to the environment. If it says every two days it becomes night and anyone outdoors takes 5 damage. You take 5 damage if you are outdoors. You will be disqualified for that round if you do not record it. This is an honor system. Do not abuse it.
You may fight anyone in the same area as your character. Combat is determined on a rotation. One player posts, the next player posts after them. You may not double post, complete all the actions you want in one post. In the event of multiple players in one fight. You have a day to respond to an attack made on your character else it will hit you. If you do not respond at all in a week. You are disqualified for the round as inactive. Each character has a set amount of stamina for actions they take. If your stamina reaches zero. You cannot attack, defend, or escape from a bad situation. You must die or take the hits. You recover full stamina every week. Your health remains the same.
Use common sense, but generally a higher ranked action will defeat a lower rank action. There are exceptions. A defensive action (EX:An ability that is primarily a defense like a shield made up of iron.) will always defeat an offensive action(EX: Fireball) that is one rank higher than it. However, you take half damage if you block a skill two ranks higher than you and full damage for anything else.
In the case of multiple opponents a SINGLE defensive action will block all attacks made against your character. This allows you to fight multiple people without being overwhelmed. Killing all of them, however, is another matter. And if they have an ability that specifically targets your action(EX: Lightning vs a water blast). You take full damage unless it is one ranked higher. In that case both powers are negated.
If the higher ranked action is general ability(EX: An adept at magic). It will be defeated by an action that is one or more ranks lower and is more specific in its description. (EX:The ability to shoot a fireball from user's hands). There will be a note under each character's abilities as I accept sheets so anyone will know whether their powers will be effective.
The damage an action inflicts on a character is equivalent to the stamina it uses. The list is as follows below:
Rank EX:Omniscient :10 Stamina : A character that has one ability at this rank becomes god and wins the RP. You may still fight them, but don't expect to win.
Rank S: Mythic :9 Stamina : Powers or equipment that can encompass the entire world. Casuality and reality manipulations.
Rank A+:Legendary :8 Stamina : Powers or equipment that may annihilate a city.
Rank A: Heroic :7 Stamina : Powers or equipment that may annihilate a city block.
Rank B: Master :6 Stamina : Powers or equipment that can cause mortal wounds.
Rank C: Expert :5 Stamina : Powers or equipment that can cause serious wounds.
Rank D: Novice :4 Stamina : Powers or equipment that may cause minor injuries.
Rank E: Base :3 Stamina : Normal Human Capacity
Each character begins with a stamina and health of 10. It may be useful for new players to include an "escape" ability in their repertoire. So if one finds themselves getting ganged up on. They may avoid certain death by running away. You rank up your abilities after every round. Every one regardless whether they are still alive is allowed to increase the rank of two of their powers or obtain two new powers at rank E.
You are also only allowed to equip two weapons/shield and one armor at any given time. Don't want people to be hoarding magical items on the field. The round ends in two months or when there is one person left standing.
I am going to be lenient, but I do have a threshold for writing. Please write at least a couple of sentences or so when asked for a description. The more vague you are the more it will hurt you if there is dispute.

[Rank E] Escape : The ability to run to a different area of the user's choosing to escape combat. This is a defensive action.
Every post you make should always have at the bottom an updated stamina and health gauge.
Contains one or more areas where combatants can fight in. You must state at the beginning of every post in a title where you are in the round. If you die you are resurrected after the round is completed. You may join this RP late, like if we were on round 3, but you will begin with powers one rank lower than everyone else who were there from the beginning.
