Let there be Light and there was Light…
Hau’sha’sur stood as a beacon, illuminating the top of the abhorrent monolith. Below conversation erupted, focusing he detected on entity, an amalgam of humanity and technology speaking to something else, someone else by the retort of the projectiles hammering a wall that erupted a moment later.
Even as the violence occurred below, the being of light stared at the ocean, for rising from it was something more, something from a forgotten era. An energy, a hunger that Hau’sha’sur had not felt since the raid upon the Citadel of the Lost. A mighty fortress betwixt time and space where the insane howls of the mad Gods rang out, crying in their despair and rage at the Titans and their minions who had breached what was thought unbreachable.
Casting about for the source of this hunger, the towering form light moved with grace around the roof, until he found what he sought. A monstrosity, a cephalopod headed creature that clawed it’s bestial way from the briny deeps. With stunted wings that graced its back, and thick sinewy arms and legs, it was a truly offensive creature that could be naught but the nightmare summation of madness.
The wings extended outward as the beast took flight, presumably to come to the highest point on this field, the roof of the monolithic tower where Hau’sha’sur currently stood. Drawing strength from the sun, the being of light channeled that light into his form, as the winged monster ascended towards him.
Just before the beast reached the top, a shimmering dome of light encapsulated the roof. With a wave of Hau'sha'sur's hand, the light emanated and sealed the area, edge to edge. Stepping backward towards the vast open area, the warrior of light stepped atop the small wall that circled it as the beast would reach its apex. The sharp claws that terminated the hands and feet of the light creature flashed and solidified into hard points of compressed photons.
All the while, he continued drawing energy from the sun. Slowly building up the light within his form, bolstering him, and that energy shining from the being radiated outward, landing on the various sundry bits of metal that lay scattered atop the roof creating a charged electrical current, low at first but would build in time as long as Hau’sha’sur was able to draw upon the sun.
