"The light consuming my sight intensified until all I could see was white, it was then that I realized my eyes were closed. And now, I open them to a new world."
The first sensation felt upon entering this world was the gust of wind, rollings past the expanse of plains and farmlands that seemed spread out and cover the entirety of where you were. Befitting was the name 'Windswept Oasis' it was where all people of the US region began their journey in Illumina. Windmills near the few small rivers that trailed and met at one place, the lake at the town's core, surrounding the lake was civilization without walls. This place was clearly safe, a sanctuary without barriers, without isolation, it was at peace with the surrounding nature. Now, where do we come into play in such a peaceful place? This is of course where your journey begins, where your first questions are asked, and where your expectations are planted. Adventurers had just been permitted to enter the towns surrounding the lake, opening floodgates that they had not quite anticipated. They scattered throughout them, making a point to village every shop, talk to every person, and did not fail to cause several accounts of mischief with it being opened just of recent. And for those who did not enjoy the crowds of people, the many hills and flats were only occupied by the small wildlife that called the Oasis their home, this is where the people who wished to get an early start on their adventure usually met.
"Why is it always small animals?"
Unagi sat upon a decent sized stump, not too far from town but a good enough distance away for some peace and quiet. There she watched as a few small ferret-like creatures and squirrels chased eachother down the grasslands floor. The Isis did live up to what it said it would, the world felt 'real' the wind, the grass, the dirt, every sense of the body was working simultaneously in sync with this world making it hard to tell the difference. She twirled her hair noticing that her hair hadn't changed to the color she had paid for, which caused her to further inspect herself to see that her body had also not been changed.
"Fuuu- where are they?"
The girl opened her inventory menu, the UI in this game was pretty difficult to get the hang of. Not because it was confusing, or strange, but because the feeling of the environment with realistic lack of fabrication on the body made it seem off. But there they were, [Cosmetic Elixir: Crimson Hair] the first item in her inventory, and [Cosmetic Elixir: Body Change] the second item in her inventory. She selected them from the hologram-esque UI that appeared in front of her, which in turn manifested a red potion, and a white potion. Unagi drank them swiftly, her hair changing color first and deepening her hair into a dark blood red. Then soon after, her legs lengthened and toned out, following by her... features warping a bit. The armor she had started with in-game had automatically shaped it's self to these changed and the girl stood from the stump stretching her new body with a cheeky smile.
"Now to find familiar faces."
Unagi quickly paced towards the town, enjoying the realistic atmosphere of the NPCs and people socializing not too far from outside the front gates. This game was taking her breath away before she could even do anything, but her expectations were probably a lot lower than some of the jaded people she knew, but she would enjoy every bit of this on her own. But her main goal quickly came back to sight for her, familiar faces, she hopped on a fencepost near the entryway of the town. She sat there with the hope that she just might see someone she knew.
