New York City, 1989
The New York Bank was quiet on the late Saturday night. Inside there were a group of men all silently loading bags of money. "Shit.. be careful!" One said as he fumbled to keep his balance as someone turned into him. "Shhh! Keep your voices down! We don't want the supers on the way...!" one near the large cart said angrily, turning his back towards the cart to start counting how much they had exactly. They soon had enough they were here for, and made it to the back where their car was waiting. They loaded it, and started driving away. They all took off their masks, laughing. "We did it! No Supers! We're stinkin' rich!" They said. Their laughter soon died out with the laughter of an unfamiliar one. They all turned their attention to a man in a blue and black suit with bulletproof armor under it. He had a silver "B" on his chest, and wore an eye mask. His brown hair was neat, and short, and his dark green eyes were squinting from laughing. "Ah man, yeah that was great... So hey, where are we going to drop this stuff off?" The man asked, looking around.
"Its Blitz!" One shrieked, about to throw a punch. As he did Blitz instantly disappeared with a small gust of wind sound, making the man hit his friend. Blitz appeared in the back of the van, looking at the large amounts of money. He gave a low whistle, pretending to count. "Wow... this is quite the steal... but there's a ski mask van riding crooks fee now... and this seems to be just the right amount." He said, picking up the bags of cash effortlessly as if they were bags of chips. "Oh and uh, buddy. Watch the road." He said as he pointed forward, and disappeared yet again. They all turned to see a tree right about to his the van.
Blitz handed off the last of the money to the police, and turned to see the three robbers being cuffed and shoved into the police cars. He gave them a salute as they cussed at him and in yet another instant, he was gone.
New York City, 15 years later. Present day
Benjamin Chase snapped out of his day dreaming to see a young skinny kid hanging upside down on a rope by his foot. His classmates laughed at him as he turned red. Blitz, now known today as Benjamin Chase, rushed to help the young kid. Ben was much older down, with a bit of weight added to his muscular figure. He also had a small touch of gray hair to his brown, but his green eyes were still lively and alert as well as his features. He now wore a gray sweat shirt with the school name on it with a matching hat, and athletic pants. He grabbed the kid by the foot, unraveled the rope, and held him there before tossing him up in the air to catch him. "You alright Nick?" Ben asked, setting him down. The kid nodded, staring down at the ground as the kids laughed at him. "Alright alright, go take a lap! All of you!" Ben yelled, then turning his attention back to the small kid.
"Hey, Kid... Its okay..." Ben said gently, kneeling down next to him. Ever since he had to put away his mask, being a gym teacher was the best way he could think of of being someone's role model, and to help others. "I so weak... I'll never be strong." He muttered. Ben shook his head. "Listen... There are tons of athletes who thought the same thing as you... But you know what they did? They went against the odds, fought for success, and they became the biggest and strongest out there. So I guarantee that if you work hard and strong in whatever you do in not only this class, but in life, you'll be stronger than anyone out there... Now take a water break and wait for the others to get back." Ben said with a wink and pat on the kid's back. "yes coach!" He said, running off to the water fountain.
Ben sighed as he stood up again, and watched the kids run... Oh how his life changed over the years... He used to be one of the top dogs... running with heroes and fighting crime... now he was here helping kids off ropes... He loved his job, don't get him wrong. But he missed the glory days of making sure people could go to bed that night knowing they were safe under the watch of him and others...
