In the city lost from time, hidden underneath earth for centuries long forgotten. Started by magic, stolen by religion, and powered by technology. The city stood large, the giant cathedral, towering over the dark abyss it resides in. even from afar, the light at the top could been seen, shinning like a sun within the earths core. How did this city come to be..? How long has it been hidden underneath our very feet? The people within seem to have no belief of world above. And why would they? Life in the city was perfect. No work was required by any citizen outside the church. Everything was simply handed to the people. But, being able to give them anything, they all to easily had the ability to take it all away. The church's peaceful outward appearance was quickly dispelled once someone saw something they were not suppose to, been somewhere at the wrong time. Unbeknownst the people in the city, a war raged within the earth. A rebel army of outcast and people who have shunned the church's domesticated life style rage war in the deeper caverns outside the city walls. The church would not tolerate such behavior, training unnaturally powerful men, boosting immense, power armor infused with both technology and magic. wielding the world's might in there very hands, along with the finest technology in their existence. Though the rebels were not nearly as powerful, they had numbers. Many individual's being wronged by the church and rising up against it. Armed with only what they could scrape together, steal, and make. Rags, makeshift weapons, and any Espers they could get their hands on. Beneath this conflict was the true source, a cult devoted to reawakening the evil deity the lived within the crystal that powered the underworld. The cult was responsible for putting the church in power, guiding them to make Espers, to advance their technology far beyond exceptions. For each death brought them closer and closer to their goal.
Esper- what I'm calling plasmids/vigors. I like it -w-. I have no idea what they are as of yet, but we can make our own. Some obviously have control over elements and what have you.
Molemen- another faction of outcast, people forgotten and discarded into the deeper depths of the earth. Adapting to their new environments, they became cannibals to survive, giving them sharp teeth and claws. They've lost all eye sight, in fact their eyes were replaced with an over growing thick scalp which served as some sort of helmet. Living in the dark against the stone has made them savage, yet resilient.
The city- it's just like any other city at first glance. its main theme is light, being underground and surrounded by complete darkness, the entire city glows constantly, for the light keeps the monsters away.
Lost Brothers- This is the name for the church soldiers who's body was infused with more magic and technology than could be with stood. The magic amplified their muscles to make them strong enough to lift the big bulking armor that was implanted directly onto their skin. Making them more machine than man. They have an uncapped amount of magical ability to the point where it's dangerous. Wielding multiple Espers at the same time against their wills, they can devastate even the largest group of foes. Due to their massive amount of unchecked strength, they tend to not be send out with groups or any allies.
Blasphemers- of the rebel side, these few individuals are fond of Espers, and have an uncanny talent for wielding them. Combining Espers to boost their effects, and even being able to combine Espers with their weapons and armor. Blasphemers have even been know to defeat Lost Brothers with only a melee weapon. Armored with magic, guns, and skill they can hold their own against even the toughest enemies.
False Gods- Another abomination of the church, their attempts at creating the god they worship by infusing man with magic in hopes he will ascend to a higher state. They can destroy armies with their mere minds. Though their faith keeps them loyal to the church which has domesticated, even these fierce individuals.
mmm..I'm sho bad at this u.u. Someone else shoulda thought this up. anyway thanks for everyone who help me get this off the ground. Now for the character stuff. You can't be a lost brother obviously, or a false god. Maaaybe a Blasphemers. You can be either a member of the Light Seekers (the church name) or Final Lights (Rebel group.) The cult will be Gates of Salvation (thank you mast) But playing as the two factions will mean you must either quit/be separated from your group. Or be an antagonist. We're still making Espers and stuff, feel free to continue pitching your own idea for weapons, magic, and tech. umm what else what else.. I'll be reviewing characters, I might not accept all. I'm sorry in advance. The first post and start of the story will look like this
How was he still alive? The mans eye opened gently. He groaned softly. "w..what..?" He crawled up to his knees, his glasses broken from the fall, leaving his eye sight impaired. But even then he could, the light shining in the distance. "What..?" He forced himself to stand. Moments ago he was simply doing his job. Exploring the ruins of an old temple, finding artifacts for the museum and what not. He'd cancel his classes today in order to explore. As he stood re realized his satchel was broken, and his hat was gone. He'd risk his life many times for that hat. Now on his feet, he noticed he was unscratched. How could that be? The crevice that opened up in the ground must of dropped him at least a skyscrapers length. Nothing was making sense. The path he landed was fairly well lit, enough to see that if he fell, he'd probably die of starvation or dehydration before he hit the bottom. He followed the path with his eyes, seeing the source of the light made his satchel and jaw drop. The satchel would never be seen again. It was a city. A city that seemed to float, on a giant piece of land. Some sort of, island, floating in this dark abyss. He followed the path, city meant there would be people. People meant he could get help. He stopped as he reach the end of the path. The city was close, he would see giant gates welcoming you in. But it was still to far to reach, and the path had ended. There was no way he could jump to it. As he thought of what to do, the strange pillar next to him lit. Runes inscribed underneath him began to glow, and several smaller floating platforms appeared in front of him. Obviously confused, the man stepped onto them, carefully and awkwardly. He stepped on the stone path, following it into the city. The massive gates allowed him in, and he was bathed in the light of this new world. He was relived when he saw people, all sorts, walking, playing, living. The people paid him no mind. How long have these people been living here..? This city didn't look much different than the ones back on the surface. As he traversed the streets he kept an eye out for anyone who looked like they might be able to assist him. As he was glancing around a man in bulking armor shoved him aside. As he turned, he saw at least 4 men, each in every corner or some sort of large crate. It had air holes in them, rather large ones. Though the man could not see inside due to the darkness, he thought he caught a glimpse of some sort of..bear creature. Just then, whatever was inside rammed the crate, nearly tipping it over. "Sir!" one of the soldiers started, his voice sounding much tougher and menacing than a regular person. "Stay away from the crate sir." The man aimed, some sort of rifle at the innocent archaeologist. "W..wait my good man! I was wondering if you could help me? I fell from up above and-" "wait did he say above? He's from above?" The men shot looks at each other. They grabbed the innocent man and forced him into the crate with the terrifying beast. The man screamed and begged as the soldiers continued down the trail leading to the cathedral off in the distance. The children continued to play, and the adults did not blink twice at the incident. Such was life in the abyss.

Bio: (Backstory or whatever you want. It doesn't got to be longer, but the better it is the more likely you'll be accepted.)
