For the IC
For the Character Log
Everything will take place on the continent of Fesaria Lorugaaz, a fictional continent I made up. There will be four at least five parts of adventures in this rp. Each part will consist of an entirely different plot with its own quests and adventures. Part one will consist of our characters being a band of royal knights of our kingdom. We do not necessarily have to have knight-ish classes, we can be soldiers, myrmidons, thieves, even laguz. In our story we are at war with a group of terrorists that threaten the nation.
In part two, we will be a band of pirates who just happen to find our way to this new continent. In the beginning we were about to raid the first town we see, but a flock of bandits already beat us to it. We defeat the bandits and are about to take the spoils for ourselves, but then a strange man comes up and offers us a proposition. He thinks we did it to save the village not realizing we're pirates, but nonetheless is impressed with our skills and how we fended off the bandits. We learn that he is in fact the leader of an organization of freedom fighters whose goal is to dethrone their tyrannical queen and free the people.
Part three will be about the Legendary heroine Iskendaar; a highly respected figure of ancient history. One day, she has mysteriously returned and chosen us as her conquerors to reclaim the Seven Wonders; which are large, mysterious, powerful structures that have withstood a great test of time. They are now infested with devils; evil creatures banished to another world very long ago by the Goddess. The devils' plan to invade our world and reclaim what they believe is rightfully theirs.
Part four will have all of our characters from the other chapters gathered together to defeat the evil demonic forces born of the red sun that will rise.
In Part five... well, that's going to remain a mystery for now ^.^"

*Updated rules are as follows:
A) Since the only laguz tribe weak against earth spells are so rare and few in number, I think that adding more weaknesses to earth magic would balance things more. Horse-mounted units and heavily-armored knights will be weak against earth spells in this. Horses are the only mounts without an elemental weakness, which I personally find a bit odd. Earth seems to fit as a weakness for them, given they are the only mounts that are landbound. And you think that something heavy and blunt as a boulder would easily mash in that heavy armor worn by generals, marshalls, etc.
B) Flying units are no longer weak against arrows. Personally I find that to much of a handicap, seems to how they are already weak against wind spells (Except dragons (yes, some of them can fly in this) and wyvern-mounted units). Although we can have a particular kind of bow that deals heavier damage to such units, like the wyrmslayer sword, horseslayer, etc.
Unless a similar item exists in the FE universe that we do not know about, we will name this bow... the Bird B-Gone (lol)
C) Everyone is responsible for updating their CS as needed. This is not a big responsibility, it's actually pretty simple. Any changes made to your character(s) during the story; ie class changes, gaining/losing an item, any new abilities learned, etc. must be updated in the Character Log. Whether you want to post your approved cs'es there and update it yourself or have me do it instead is up to you. Either way is fine, I just need to know. Changing your cs'es in this ooc doesn't count.
D) There will be points in our story where I update the armory and add new items. After each adventure, everyone is allowed to take up to one item from the armory. No more. You cannot take any more items if you already have five or more with you. A person could always swap something they have for something else in the armory that they want, or just deposit things there that they don't want. Think of it as an item bank. Items may be swapped, taken, given, etc. only while the person is actually there to make the exchange, not during an adventure. If an adventure takes place right near the armory; like if our ship gets attacked or something, there can be no exchanges yet. It has to be locked up for safety purposes.
*beorc or laguz
*beorc only. You can make up a class for yourself if you want to, even if it's another version of an already existing class. just specify whatever strengths and weaknesses your class has.
*You are not necessarily locked into only the class you choose here and now. Once in a while during our quest, there will be items we find that can allow a person to promote, or even change to a class completely different from what they were before; eg. an archer using a class sphere to become a thunder mage instead, etc.
*again, beorc only. for those not familiar with FE class tiers, all classes will come in tiers of one, two and three. Units at Tier one are the weakest and least experienced level of classes, but they are available to play as in all parts. Tier two units are more powerful, but they cannot be used in Part one. Tier three characters are the most powerful, but cannot be played yet until Part Four.
*It may be possible to be able to achieve a class at Tier Four late enough in our adventure, but those are all custom-classes that are yet to be made up. And while not all other classes will have the potential to reach Tier Four, there are some class spheres that can change a person into a class that can. However all of this info about Tier Four units is all still in the making and subject to change.
*for military characters, but optional
*Optional. You can be mounted on either a horse, wyvern or pegasus knight
*if you are a spell-caster, the magic elements are fire, wind, thunder, earth, ice, light and dark
*Can be picture or description
Are you in part one, two, three or four?
*you can make a character for each if you like
Every single person in this world has elemental affinity. Please note that these are not the same as the elements of magic that one can cast. Adding elemental affinity to our cs'es is optional, as it's really just for fun. For now, at least. There may come a later time in our adventure where one's elemental affinities can play a significant role. Only then will it be required to have in our cs'es, and I will announce in advance if/when that will become the case. Anyone who has already assigned themselves an elemental affinity by statsheet is welcome to change their minds, as the elements in this are not the same as in those games.
The most common elements are Fire, Wind, Water, Earth and Lightning.
Elements of Ice, Metal, Wood, Poison, Anima, Light and Dark are less common, but not truly rare.
Heaven and Hades however are the rarest of the elements.
A character may have either one or two elemental affinities, but cannot have two of the same element. Having just one element means having a stronger connection with it. Having two elements means possessing a connection to each of them, but their affinity for each is divided, and therefore not as solid as having just one element. A character's elements do not necessarily have to match their personality, or their abilities, etc. people are just born with them. Elements are not a part of genetic coding, therefore no element can be inherited from one's parents.
Elemental affinities among Devils however are of different rarities. It is common for a devil to be of fire and/or dark affinity, and for them it is uncommon to be of anything else. However, a devil can never be of Light, Heaven, Water or Ice affinities.
Azureans usually have either Ice, Water or Light as their elemental affinities. Other elements among them are less common, but they are never of Fire, Dark and/or Hades affinity.
*anything at all you would like to include, relevant or not
Part One is complete. There was a war in Northern Fesaria against terrorists who attacked the kingdom. However, the terrorists lost. During the war, the benevolent King Feldon was assassinated, the queen was raped, the princess kidnapped, and the prince was nowhere to be found. In the end, all members of the crown save for the princess are dead. She was the only one qualified to take the throne, but her lack of experience is starting to make the nation suffer.
The prince was behind the whole thing. He was the one who formed the terrorist organization, instigated the rebellion against his own country and family, killed his father, molested his mother, and kidnapped his sister. He did it all in an attempt to take the throne for himself, even though he inherited it anyway. The reason for this pointless evil was due to the secret black magics he began to study. Many mages tend to veer away from the dark arts knowing how they can corrupt and warp a person's mind, but the prince was too fascinated by this forbidden fruit to heed all forms of warning, so of course he indulged anyway. Many nights the prince had snuck down into the laboratories of Zwei and his subordinates (whom all were high agents of King Feldon), and researched deeper and deeper. The magic had eventually twisted the prince's mind, and made him so evil that he raped and killed the majority of his family, formed a rebellion against them, threw away countless lives of his own troops, all in an attempt to hijack his own kingdom.
He was about to kill his sister too, but was stopped by Chris Shuzen (character of the former gm to this rp). He dealt a severe blow to the prince, but before he could finish him off the prince cast a black tornado spell of dark magic and sent Chris flying across the continent into the sea. After having cast that taxing spell, the prince confessed his love to his sister, and then promptly died. The princess saw the whole thing, but she was the only witness to the fight. And the only one alive besides Chris who had ever learned his evil plans. The princess confessed that she loved her brother too, but he never heard. Then the Princess fainted from exhaustion, and the stress of it all ruined her memory.
The princess had woke up with amnesia. She had forgotten the entire scene where Chris had fought her brother, and that he was the culprit behind the entire war. Chris' weapon was later found lodged in the abdomen of the Prince, so it was presumed that he killed him. It was also presumed that Chris had killed the king and queen too. To this day, no one alive except for Chris himself knows that he is not the 'Slayer of Royalty' that he has become known as.
Part Two is also complete. The evil Queen Morta's reign of terror plagued the country of Utsushiyo to no end. Reya and her pirate crew happen to wash themselves on Utsushiyo's shores during a bandit raid of a port town. They stopped the bandits in order to harvest the spoils for themselves, but before they could they found themselves in this huge mess fighting alongside a whole rebel faction whose aim was to dethrone the queen. It was said that Queen Morta was overthrown by a rebel faction known as the 'Rebels of the New Dawn,' which a large portion of her army had joined in the final battle against what remained of hers.
The rebels were led by a man named Lodge, who was a former servant of the queen. Lodge used his previous knowledge of the queen, her castle, troops, etc. to his advantage in favor of the rebel faction to dethrone her. However Reya had a better knack for leadership; taking charge for situations when it was needed, leading most of the battles herself, so forth. Due to her role during the rebellion, people were seeing her more as the rebel faction's leader than Lodge. Hardened by a life at sea and enough experience at commanding and being a pirate captain, she was more than worthy of the title.
After the rebellion had ended and the queen was dethroned, Reya was the one offered the crown to become their next queen. Despite being tempted by all the royal treasures, perks, and riches that came with ruling a nation, Reya had to decline. Living a tedious life as an overstuffed noble was boring enough, but the life of a queen could never have any room for adventure. Instead, she ceded the throne to Lodge, married her crewmate Kelthar, promoted him to First Mate, and formed her own band of mercenaries.
But before then, something very strange happened during the final confrontation. A hideous monster appeared in the castle, and began attacking the rebels. No one today knows exactly what had happened just then, or even what that awful thing was. But somehow, the rebel faction found themselves combatting against it; a hideous creature that was so foul it looked like something that could only exist in children's nightmares. Some say the queen summoned the monster to defend her, some say it was merely an illusory spell cast by the queen in a last desperate attempt to fool the rebels. Some dismiss the whole thing as a false rumor, or something blown out of proportion to describe the queen herself. But those who saw the monster while it was still living and breathing; before it had been melted into a bubbling puddle of caustic goo, will never forget the unbelievable truth that was a devil.
Also, Chris Shuzen was among the rebels. He was known to have been the one to slay Queen Morta, adding even more to his reputation as a 'Slayer of Royalty.'
This continent is divided into several different countries as follows;
The largest country on the continent, Fesaria holds a large empire with lots of high-class people such as nobles, lords, etc. who populate the majority of the kingdom. The Fesarian empire is divided into two kingdoms, North and South. Northern Fesaria fares better than the South in most respects, but Southern Fesaria has the most direct connections with the other nations that make things like imported trades easier. Things like poverty and hunger are a rarity in both Fesarian Kingdoms, but they are slightly more common in the South. The late King Feldon was one of the largest contributors to this revolution, being a wise and very kind ruler to his people. There was once a time where the nation had many laguz working as slaves, but soon a war broke out between the Fesarian empire and the laguz country of Tsu-Chi. Feldon had been crowned king during the middle of the war, and it was him who had offered a peace treaty to end the war; offering to free all laguz in slavery and save bloodshed for both sides. Ever since the great liberation and removal of slave camps, Tsu-Chi and the Fesarian Empire were no longer enemies. They have also signed a peace treaty proclaiming the two nations as equals, bringing their people ever closer.
But ever since the death of King Feldon in Part One, and the deaths of the rest of the royal family save for the princess, the nation had started to suffer from lack of proper rule. The princess was the only surviving member of the royal family after the war against terrorism, and by default had to be crowned as the new queen, since she was the only one qualified. Being so young and inexperienced, and not yet completely trained in the art of rulership, the decisions she makes are not always the wisest, and others have suffered as a result. She does her best, and has good intentions, but the people have their doubts. Some have criticized her every move, and continue to doubt her abilities as a ruler more and more. Some even claim that she may very well be the fall of the Empire.
The smallest of the nations, but it is also the most industrialized and technologically advanced. Many steam-powered inventions have originated from the many inventors and workshops of Darba, producing land cruisers, ornithopters, even the popular airships. Darba has also produced inventions that are powered by oils, gasoline-like fluids, and even magic. Currently, they are studying electricity and trying to learn how to use it as a new source of power.
A massive forest region that holds not one but two of the world's Seven Wonders. Its people, both beorc and laguz, live as natives, choosing not to harm the soil they live on other than for reasons truly necessary. The closest thing they allow themselves to 'technology' are farms, forges for weapons, armor, and the like as needed to defend their lands with. They are a peaceful people, populated by both beorc and laguz that usually get along well. However they do not get along with those of Darba, for their land is very rich in many kinds of resources that lots of Darbans would just love to get their hands on. Many Darbans tend to despise this, seeing the Kodaman people as selfish, if not ignorant for not even reaping their lands' goods for themselves. A war even broke out between the nations once, but Darba's technology was nowhere near as highly advanced as it is now, and at the time they were unable to overwhelm Kodama's high numbers with their strong morale for their land.
Bordering the great eastern ocean, Utsushiyo resides next to Darba. This is the only nation that has never been to war once, except for the recent one against Queen Morta, their last ruler before the current King Lodge. Utsushiyo was once a fair country with a fair economy, and they lived in prosperity for many years. Until the coronation of Queen Morta. No one knows where Morta had come from or even how she came into power, but she was a madwoman who craved power to no end. She was tyrant, and a terrible ruler who deliberately left the people poor and hungry. While she did this, she also forced many people to join her military. She also drafted many soldiers into her army or as her many personal servants, even women and children, even when the country was not even at war. Queen Morta always constantly sharpened and hardened all of her guards and soldiers to the point where they had to arrest and punish as many people as they could just to keep their jobs, even for things that were not even illegal. In addition to her own sadistic pleasures, the idea there was to fill up her torture chambers and prisons knowing her guards would spread rumors about them, making the people fear her even more. It has been rumored that her primary goal as a ruler was to first build up a massive army, then attack and take over the nation of Darba to steal their technology and people, then slowly take over one nation after another in an attempt to obtain global domination.
Fortunately, there rebel faction known as the 'Rebels of the New Dawn' were able to put a stop to this sinister plan before it could ever come into fruition. Ever since, King Lodge had been repairing the nation little by little, and returned the age of peace that the people thought they would never see again.
A mountainous region primarily of laguz population, the majority being beast laguz, but there are many others. The region is composed of mountains and many plateaus where lots of its people live, and a singe great valley divides the nation in two. Tsu-Chi also holds the great city of Iskendaaria, founded and named in honor of the conqueress herself. Next to that is the Undercity Pharos, one of the Seven Wonders. Little is known about it other than it is a small cave containing the ruins of a mysterious civilization; all of it leading to this massive metal wall. There were those who have tried breaking the wall, but no attempt could ever leave a dent or even the tiniest bit of a scratch. Even ballista bolts and cannon fire could not harm the great wall.
A land of asian culture where dragon laguz live. Despite being the second smallest nation in the known world, Igumasa is by far the most powerful and most widely feared. Dragons of all colors, types, sizes and shapes reside here; including black dragons. Black dragons are one of the most powerful tribes, however the gold dragons top that. Their ruler is a gold dragon, the mightiest of the dragon laguz tribes. He is also very territorial, defensive, and easily provoked. Despite this, he is in fact a fair ruler.
The country of Igumasa has been through more wars than any other, but it has not lost one. The nation has gained a fearsome reputation from this, plus the general aggression of many species of dragon laguz. They are also very territorial; like Kodama's people only much more aggressive. Many who happen to wander into Igumasa's borders are often killed on the spot, and many airships or even small ornithopters and other crafts that fly too close to the country's border are often shot down. Not with ballistae, but the breath of the mightiest dragons. Which is even worse.
