In the mountains hide the remnants of the so called hedgecats, a prosperous people indeed despite coming on hard times settling the mountains, and their war with man. They are not alone though, elvish rangers at their aid who inhabit the forests, though why they decided to ally themselves with them is unknown. Crossbreeds between the hedgecats and humans have come about as well, most likely the spawn from the wars with the raping and pillaging that comes with it. Humanity still holds its grudge against these mountain folk, and the dwarves who inhabit the mountains would rather they left their ancestral homes.
Off the main land lies to the north lies the islands of the seaborn, advanced marines and the pioneers in aquatic warfare, their navy able to tear apart the earth with the roar of its mighty cannons. Some what of a mystery, it is speculated that they descend from colonists from the main land, and magically attuned ones at that with the average seaborn able to manipulate water. Another is that instead of being descended from mages, their is high amounts of magical activity their causing the inhabits to control it, though mutating them to have decreased muscle mass. No scientists have been allowed entry to their lands as of yet, the seaborns suspicion of the mainland's barring them from discovering the truth.
Scattered throughout the world reside humanity, claiming every piece of land they can possibly get their hands on and exploiting its resources. Their cultures and ideals vary greatly wherever you go, and so does their technology. Cities rose above the landscape, huge metropolis's belching smoke, great castles of industry forging the path onwards with the power of science. The countryside is a different matter though. The farmers have stuck to the old ways, the wondrous machinery too expensive for these folk, and castles still remain along with their lords, still wielding swords and bows with the odd flintlock. The order of the knights known as the inquisitorum roam the world, acting as the worlds self assigned 'peacekeepers', protecting the world from technology they deem no one but they are trust worthy with. They have found the path to immortality by giving ones flesh over to an everlasting body of steel, protecting them from the ages as fleshy folk rot.
Dwarves reside in the mountains, their fortresses built deep inside them, surviving the day to day horrors that threaten them in their homes, unearthing great beasts as they mine for precious ores. Some of these fortresses have turned into permanent settlements, developing into cities, and hubs of trade. Though lacking the spark for magic, they make up for it with their long life spans and their skill with technology, even more advanced then the great engineers of humanity, achieving the construction of advanced automatons, even ones able to think for themselves, each a true marvel of engineering.
In the forests elfish folk make their home, cannibalistic, slim, pointy eared humanoids considered to be beautiful by some, though everyone knows of the danger they pose, most of the elvish folk taking to banditry to devour passers by, and loot their belongings. Mainly seen as a nuisance, it is not unheard of for elves to live in the cities, and you can always rely that they'll be at least one elven grave digger working at the church.
Other beasts roam the lands as well, such as goblins, orcs, kobolds, gnomes and other beasts born from the wilds their, along with abominations created by residual magic or a particularly cruel mage. Ancient monstrosities lie beneath the earth, and few know of these horrors for few live to speak of them, though the dwarves know these beasts exist from long experience digging into the mountains.

Darius Thunderstrife of the Inquisitorium.
A human being, amongst one of the most seen races in the current world.
They inhabit almost every parts of the four corners of the world map and can be found almost everywhere and definetly in any city.
Humans are mostly neutral to this tech - Magic struggle and tend to use both, although only a few are gifted with the magical powers, Humans lean more towards tech.
Darius originally named Chris Jacksson, a man of royal lineage he was trained in the arts of a knight, a royal warrior of the king. The most noble status one could achieve, however he gave all this up when he overheard the truth of life as he knew it from a man, supposedly coming from an order of warriors who protect the world from the technology which could destroy it in the hands of eager men. The man however held one such artifact in his belt, a glowing sword, mixed between magic and technology, master crafted and master enchanted. They believed that they are the one single form of group capable of understanding and using the power without destroying the world along with it.
He fled home, stalked the man who had wandered his way to the royal district, without food, water or any clothes to change into the man had noticed him since far behind. He had come to call out his name, somehow the he knew it and Chris replied, they started speaking with eachother on the long and tiring travel which spanned for months, they checked in on inns and the likes on basically any village they came to which had an inn capable of being visited.
He came to change names by the time he had hit the age of 34. He had long since joined the Mexicanum order and enjoyed his place there, he had been sent on five different mission which each spanned several years in time. The order took in the notion of binding once essence to objects and was often mastered and used to make immortal life, human essence and spirit bound to the cold steel of armor of the order. The orders knights often master the arts of melee weapons and rifles.
Darius Thunderstrife has become a valued member of the Mexicanum order and achieved great importance and rolls. He has recently bound his body to the armored object of his armor and cannot speak through normal human means, instead he uses the airwaves around him and manipulate it to make his own voice. Through this he can make himself heard through large areas by manipulating large or small amounts of air. It was of course hard at first to learn this, which is why, most newly bound order members are completely mute.
he has taken five years only to be able to speak without a mouth and organic body.
He is currently task free.
- He is equipped with a hand reload rifle with a large and sharp knife put on the very end to be able to pierce an enemy in the heart if necessary.
The rifle has a small magazine filled with five rifle rounds and is therefor it is extremely effective in combat. It has a metal cross engraved into the wooden hilt.
This is the obvious remark of a Order forged weapon.
- He is also equipped with a large and tall spear, it is enchanted with water enchantments. It has a incredibly sharp blade, to the point where it looks unreal.
It is also capable of producing streams of water from the opposite edge of the spear, It can be used as a wooden pole weapon, you'd be surprised at the fact that the wood seems almost unbreakable.
The water has cleansing abilities, capable of healing wounds, when given a medium to large amount of time.
- The wood of the spear is also filled with small tesla coils, filling the entire weapon with electricity.
The water which is fired out by the spear too.
He basically gave away all senses and capabilities of casting spells when he gave up his flesh body.
However he has a travel companion named Tariu Tortas who is a enchanter and capable of casting medium skill spells.
I gave away flesh for the immortal steel of our order..
Name: Jun Kazuma
Race: Seaborn (Information included at bottom, under hider)
Age (Shouldn't this be normally here?): 28
Appearance (Is anime alright? If not, I'll happily find something else)
Bio: Jun, like many of his kind, was born to the fertile lands of the Seaborn islands, south of the mainland, to a young couple, who were both, like many other Seaborn, sailors. However, Jun, unlike many of his kind, disliked the sea, despite having spent most of his adolescence like many other Seaborn, aboard one of their powerful warships, and instead found himself impassioned by the peaceful lands of the Seaborn islands and once he finally set foot upon it, the mainland's diverse environments and peoples.
Shortly after fulfilling his required service in the Seaborn Kingdom's Navy, he began wandering the mainland, seeing what there was to see, but shortly after he began his explorations, he found out the hard truth why most Seaborn were discouraged from setting foot upon the mainland for more than a spell of time; war.
The mainland was ravaged by it, with small countries fighting each other, large empires taking over the fighting small ones and rebellions left and right.
Soon enough, he found that there was needs for his kind of skills, his service aboard some of the most powerful of the Seaborn fleet left him with a serviceable knowledge of magic during his times working the engines of the vessels, and he had an uncanny skill with the sword, strange, as the sword was a weapon commonly left underutilized by others of his race.
Thus began his long career as a sell-sword, starting at the age of 20 and continuing until today, eight years later. In recent years, he opened an official business "Kazuma Investigations into Matters Private, Public, Justicial and Militaristic", and he has become relatively well known for his utilitarian and efficient, yet merciful way of getting things done.
Current equipment: Jun, as a member of the average sized and generally weak race of Seaborn, usually tends to wear lighter clothes instead of the heavier armor used by knights and warriors of the mainland kingdoms instead tending to wear reinforced leather clothes and furs in colder climates and during colder seasons, and his weaponry is equally sparse, with only a single straight edged one sided longsword and an Seaborn Naval soldier's service bluefire-revolver, which he usually uses alongside his blade, for when he needs the incredible stopping power of a bluefire round.
Spells: During his time in the Seaborn Kingdom's Navy, Jun learned the art of harnessing bluefire, a magical energy naturally used by the Seaborn and one that no other race has ever succeeded in harnessing. This energy, which in it's raw, pure form takes the form of the titular blue fire, is cold to the touch, and lacks any defining, useful features, but when focused, while keeping a blue form, but with a much darker color, is the same temperature as boiling water, resulting in it's focused artificial use as a energy source aboard the large, advanced vessels of the Seaborn Fleet. It can also be used as a light, but the ancient ways of using it as an extremely deadly weapon in itself (it can, however, be used, in a solidified form, to propel objects, making for it's uses in bluefirearms) have been long forbidden, and thus forgotten.
Voice sample: A letter to a client of Kazuma Investigations (sorry if it's a bit quiet, I still need to get my microphone sorted out. You can expect a bit higher sound in the future! For now, just turn up the volume!)
No one truly knows from where the average height, weak muscled, and pale skinned people known as the Seaborn truly came from, or how they came to occupy the islands now known as the Seaborn Kingdom off the coast of the mainland, but nowadays, they are well known for their mostly peaceful way of life contrasting their powerful, advanced and unmatched Navy, and their political neutrality in matters not concerning them.
They are the sole race born with the ability to use the bluefire, a magical energy that, in it's natural, human harnessed form has little uses, but in it's focused artificial form has many uses, such as lights, being used to propel small or large pieces of metal at high speeds (weapons doing this are called bluefirearms) especially that of being boiling hot and being able of creating energy for the Seaborn's large fleet of advanced warships.
Speaking of their warships, the Seaborn's navy is feared throughout the world, for they are unmatched in their strength and power. While the Seaborn only possess a navy and no ground army, they have still, despite this, been able to guard their home-islands for decades. They possess powerful cannons, are heavily armored, can remain at sea for years at a time, and are fast compared to other vessels of competing navies. The Seaborn Kingdom's Navy has never been used in a war in which the Seaborn Kingdom was an official belligerent, though one of the sources of revenue for the leaders of the Kingdom is "renting" a few of their ships out to the highest bidder to be ordered around for a specified time, with Seaborn crews operating the vessels during the time of service. Thanks to these "rentals", many naval wars have had their tides turned in the direction of the client.
The Seaborn tend to be shorter at adulthood than most other races, at an average height of 5.5 feet (~1.67 meters), and possess little pure strength, but are quite agile. Most Seaborn are quite pale of skin color, and hair color and eye color varies between them, suggesting either mixed genetic descent or simply common mutations in hair and eye color.
The kingdom has a required military service time, where men and women alike are required to serve aboard one of the fleet's naval vessels from the age of 16 to 20, where they are still given a common education, with many Seaborn excelling in matters such as maths, literature, and linguistics.
However, despite this general intelligence, and thus usefulness, most Seaborn youths are deterred from going onto the mainland for long times, as it is considered by them a dangerous land, at least compared to the peaceful islands of the Kingdom, resulting in many Seaborn simply staying in the Navy or returning to the islands.
An vessel of the Seaborn Fleet, underway.
Rahl was born with a rather unique defect, in that he was born with white pupils which has caused him to be colourblind. Rahl has been told that he has long black hair and is about 5'7. He is rather pale and wear a long bright green (as his eyes serve no use to him he doesn't quite know just how hideous it looks) trench coat over brown leather armour. He has a large belt with several pouches on it full of strange vials and bits, on his back he has a half a metre short sword and on his arm he has a bracer with a small metal cylinder on it.Bio:
Born into a family neither rich nor poor, Rahl knew exactly who he would become, the moment he was born. His family was enamoured with alchemy. His parents in their naive joy shared with Rahl all they knew about the art, and Rahl grew up forever knowing that this was who he would become. An alchemist, nothing more and nothing less, that was his destiny. Rahl was proud of his parents, proud of his family and who he would become. Yet; all children will yearn for what they cannot have.Current Equipment:
Slowly over the years Rahl began to lose his love, he forgot the lustre of alchemy, he grew restless and more resentful with each passing day. His lessons in the art of alchemy soon became torture to him. Resentful of the craft for capturing his parent's hearts, of his parents for shoving their passion down his throat, and of himself for happily accepting a passion that wasn't his, Rahl rebelled against his parents and fled his home at the young age of sixteen. He fled the safe encompass of his home city and into the deep wilds that bordered it. He was lost those first days in the wild, his family had lived in a large city and once Rahl had traveled but a day before it seemed to him that he was in another country. He walked onward however, with no food, no water, and no idea of where he was going or even where he was.
Days turned into weeks as Rahl walked on and on and on. Rahl lived off of the land, he fished, he gathered, he hunted, he did all he could to survive, he went to bed hungry every night, bruised and tired from a hard days work that he was never accustomed to. He found himself relying more and more everyday, on the lessons his parents had taught him. Which herbs would heal is wounded body, which vine was strong enough to hold down a live animal, which flower smell would knock out a grown boar if consumed. The only reason that Rahl even survived in those wilds were because of his parents, because of all those years of learning that he had grown to hate. It was only a month before Rahl found another town, but Rahl had grown more in that month than he had in five years.
He entered the town, dirty, penniless, and knowing none. He was quickly accosted by a local gang which proceeded to mug him of his last possessions, some furs he had gained from hunted, any weapons he had crafted from sticks and stones, and the last of his pride. It was then he crawled, naked, dirty and half dead, into his salvation, into his hope, into his death. He was given a vision of heaven, before suddenly, a jolt and he was awake, returned from death, Rahl found himself at a school, an academy that teaches those few students the art of technology, the art of machines.
Rahl found his new passion, he found who he was to become once more after his rebirth, he begged his saviour, the school headmaster (who house he had fainted in front of, surely a stroke of fate) to allow him to attend, The headmaster seemed wary at first, but slowly as Rahl began to recover and the two began to converse, to meet, to truly understand each other the headmaster, began to see the talent and will in Rahl and he gladly let Rahl attend.
There Rahl immersed himself into his studies once more, but this time, he took to them like a fish to water. He had found his passion, had found what made his heart sing, and his soul soar, in those first weeks of classes, Rahl learned to live again, live a happy and wonderful life. One day in his studies Rahl discovered he could combine his knowledge of alchemy, and what little magic he could do, together with technology in order to create new, and wondrous things! He was in a state of pure bliss, he was the happiest he had ever been. Then shortly after, a younger student, a young rich noble, approached Rahl asking if they could see his work, and Rahl as trusting and naive as he is, happily gave a detailed explanation of his ideas and theories.
The two of them became fast friends, as Rahl happily mentored his junior in all that he knew. If only Rahl knew what was to come, his junior stole all he could from Rahl and then quickly published every discovery Rahl had ever made, and claimed them for his own. Rahl distraught at friend's betrayal tried to assert his ownership over the work. Rahl's appeal was never heard, as he was but a penniless vagabond who was only allowed in the acadmey because of the headmaster's word, on the other hand the friend was a rich and powerful member of society. Rahl was shunned for attempting to steal the work of a fellow peer, the headmaster unable to do anything expelled Rahl from the school. Rahl once more thrown on the streets, and was lost. Shunned from his school and his home, Rahl left the town to head back to his parents, for what else could he do?
Leaving by carriage this time with what money he had, Rahl returned hone only to discover his father had died while he was away, and his mother in her grief had left the town in search of a better future. Rahl learned from the townsfolk that his mother seemed sick as well when she left, and that Rahl should set out and find her quickly lest she hurt herself. Rahl left with nothing, he came home to find nothing. This time however he knows that when he sets out, he must find something, he must find his mother else live the rest of his life with nothing.
Rahl carries on him at all times a short sword on his back, a bracer with a cylindrical metal tube on it, and numerous vials of potions and oils in his over sized belt. Along with that he carries a hollow walking stick made of metal, and a tool kit, full of anything he might need to build some sort of contraption, also on his side is a large battery (about half a metre in height and a third of a metre in width) with wires leading to his spine.Spells:
Lighting Creation: Rahl has the ability to create sparks of lighting at various degrees of strength. They are not usually very strong, and he instead uses this ability to trigger his mechanical devices.Voice Sample:
Fire Shot: Rahl will place a small vial of green liquid into the cylinder on his bracer and aims towards someone. The cylinder will then spew a small stream of fire at about a metre distance. The vial is ignited by Rahl's lighting magic.
Railshot: Rahl will place a small ball of metal into the cylinder on his bracer and aims towards someone. The small ball is then shot out of the cylinder using Rahl's lighting magic.
Lighting Chain: Rahl whips a chain at an enemy, that wraps around them, he then sends as much electricity he can using magic, or from a large battery he has strapped to his side to shock the enemy.
Current Blade: Rahl's blade was made specifically for use of this skill, the handle has gold wire in the centre of the blade surrounded by an iron handle which is covered in copper wire. Rahl shoots an electric current down the gold wire which then gives the steel blade an electric charge.
"Now see, all I have to do, is create a small stream of lighting from my hand and into the blade, of course I can also draw some from a battery, but it's much faster and easier for me to create it, though I may get tired which is why a battery is useful for that. Good point."
Race: Plant person - They inhabit areas with lots of greenery (Like forests, and jungles, or even gardens) and produce different types of poisons. They're not very social beings and rarely mingle with their own kind.
Bio: Rena was born almost like a regular plant in the forest until she somehow grew a human body within, more than likely by magic. For years she lived in the pod of her leafy home, catching food with the Venus flytraps growing from her back. Suddenly, the roots below her detached from her now fully grown feet and she slid out of her pod. Walking took a while to master but once she got the hang of it she was happy with herself. One day while exploring the forest she found a group of dead men and one still half alive, not wanting to waste good food she eat the already decomposing men then went over to the other man who stared at her with fright. She gave him a confused look as green liquid dripped from her finger tips, out of instinct she opened the males mouth and dripped some in. Somehow this healed the man quickly and he ran away. Sneakily, she followed him till he arrived in his village and she listened as he explained the whole experience. But one thing caught her eye, over to the side she could see a human holding small shiny round objects which were slightly mesmerizing. She soon learned that this was money and devised a plan to gain it, after convincing the villagers in the city that she was of no threat, which took a long time, she set up a potions shop. Rena is a pretty calm plant person, only prone to get angry when asked too many questions or messed with. She mostly lives for herself and by herself.
Current equipment: None
Vine wrap - A group of vines grow out from under her feet the wrap around the nearest person. Depending on her attitude, the vines could be covered in thorns or can be just regular smooth vines.
Lethal Lily - From the tips of her fingers she can produce poison. If it's red is usually deadly, blue is just what she slips in your drink or food to make it taste bad if she dislikes you, green is actually a healing type of poison that can help cure sicknesses or wounds by increasing the rate only slightly. [There are many other types but I can't think of any right now >x<]
-Although it's not a spell, she can move the Venus Fly traps on her back independently from her body and when needed can hide them, though she rarely does that.
Ok, so you came here and expected me to just hand over the poison right? Free of charge? No deal, money first then we talk. Now cough it up or I'll eat you up.
Name: Gnorlin Timefiddler
Current equipment: Magnifying monocle, wrench, disk launcher and the Time Warper 9000!
Spells/Abilities: Time Blink, Overcharged Disk
Bio: The gnomes of this land were a peaceful bunch. They stayed in their city of Koenayr in the mountains and occasionally shared their inventions with the world. But war and alliances weren't their priorities. Gnomish society was a strict and harsh
one. If you hadn't made a great invention, you weren't worth a thing. And that was Gnorlin his exact problem.
Being born into a family of the genius inventor of the Flurberdurber 3000, the expectations of Gnorlin were high. Too high for him too bother even! Unlike other gnomes, Gnorlin was a bit of a trickster and a cheater. At a young age he started copying inventions from the other gnomes, which gave him a bad reputation around Koenayr. And when he finally managed to come up with an own invention, the Compactinizer 123, the other gnomes didn't gave him credit for it, for they thought he simply copied it again.
Well, go to hell then, Gnorlin thought. He was done with this life of high expectations. So instead of going the normal Gnomish way, he decided to do what he was best at. Stealing the things of others. He'd managed it for years before, so why not make it his profession?
Years past and Gnorlin his skills as thief kept growing. He already had quite a big bounty on his head, but thanks to all kinds of inventions he stole from the other gnomes, he was a slippery bastard. And then something rather special caught his interest. Apparently, his brother managed to make some kind of device that could influence time due to some kind of combination of magic and tech. Well, that was fascinating, and a good way to get revenge on his stupid family.
So he stole the Time Warper 9000 from his old family house. Unfortunately, they were expecting him, so he was forced to use the device to make his escape. But the device was unstable, and made Gnorlin see into the Time Vortex.
He was later... or was it earlier? ... seen in one of the human cities in the mountains. There he fixed the Time Warper, and continued with his life as a thief. A time thief!
