Long ago, the Cooper clan roamed free, stealing more than they knew what to do with. Many of the Coopers, through the use of the magical power passed through the family line, began using words of power called Whispers. These Whispers would allow a Cooper to do one of many things, allowing them to remain unseen for their heists.
Time passed and the Cooper Clan seemingly died out. Few people can trace their lineage back to the Coopers, earning them the title Cooper-born. These few left with Cooper blood can still use the Whispers in their heists but will have to study their family's books which are hidden in a secret vault which can only be opened by the Cooper Emblem, a rather jagged question-mark looking staff about the size of a normal man's arm.
Only three of these canes, as they're known to be called, still exist and the Coopers, who have all but vanished from the world, must return.
In the center of the continent, a large mountain stood. At the top of the mountain stood a shrine. This particular shine was built by the last Cooper's friends using the pieces of his most hated enemy, Clocktech. Each day, a handful of people brave the steps to see this shrine and the shattered pieces of the power sphere that kept the machinoid alive. In a hidden compartment lays a book, one that holds the secret to mastering the Whispers. Many thieves have tried finding his rumored book but none have succeeded.
At the bottom of this mountain sat a town, a rather large town, named Slyrim. The inhabitants of this town honor and respect the shrine by offering some of their harvest every year. It is here our story begins.
