IN THE LAND OF EDEN, YOU ARE A GOD.
Revelation 4:11 - Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Long long ago, in a time now forgotten; In a time before time, there was nothing. The void was the only thing that was. The Universe was filled homogeneously and isotropically with an incredibly high energy density and huge temperatures and pressures and was very rapidly expanding and cooling. The Universe existed as this state without time or the passing of events, and it still does in a way; In an alternate dimension. The only being that existed in this period without time is Nature herself. Then suddenly, a phase transition caused a gargantuan cosmic inflation. The Universe grew exceptionally in an instant. Even now, the Universe grows. Time was created, and so too was the elementary particles - the cells which make up everything in existence. These elementary particles continuously bumped into each other in the great nothingness, becoming larger; mixing and becoming something new.
The universe has existed in this state for millions of years as the particles chunked together, creating celestial bodies, galaxies, stars, solar systems and planets and the basic ingredients for life. This if often referred to as the Big Bang. Now Mother Nature worked her magic. The first planets were nothing but volcanic wastelands, then oceanic thunderstorms until the first continents were shaped. The first forms of life were stationary - plants. Eventually life grew more and more complex as Evolution took place. Throughout millions of years, there was no sentient life. Just sea creatures of the ocean. Eventually mobile life moved onto land, evolving into strange and wondrous beasts. Some species grew larger brains, and became sentient. They could use logic and had original thought. These intelligent species formed hunter-gather tribes and lived as very crude and tribal societies.
These intelligent creatures are responsible for your birth. For whatever reason, these people have come into turmoil. They wished for help for someone, anyone. Their prayer's gave birth to you. This story takes place on the planet of Eden. Eden is a lush world, full of green and beauty. It is also full of terrors as well. You are a new and young God, rife with the potential for greatness. The people need the help of someone out there. The People are young and foolish. They are very primitive now, but they will soon grow into something great - with your assistance. Their future rests in your hands. What will you do with it?
Nature looked upon all of her wondrous creations with satisfaction and pride. She was master of all. Why shouldn't she? The universe itself is her playground. One planet out of billions stood out among the rest; however. Something happened on its own - without Mother Nature's assistance. Organisms on the planet of Eden grew sentient and gained intelligence. Even more interesting; those small quaint creatures hold faith in deities not of their world for whatever reason. The wishes of those seemingly insignificant creatures summoned something from a world beyond worlds. Gods, like Nature herself, except on a much smaller scale. Even as all knowing as she was, not even Nature could have foreseen such a miracle. Mother Nature looked down at the world of Eden with increased interest then ever before.
The caves of the high peaks north of Pangaea reached to unfathomable depths. A number of Gods were responsible for the near infinite underground cave and linked chambers, some chambers reaching to gargantuan sizes. The caves at their highest penetrated the high mountain peaks, and at their lowest went even below the ocean. Anencletus, Nocturnal and Gunthar were the Gods most responsible for the expansive cave systems on Pangaea. Pangaea, a huge island in the great seas of Eden.
Nocturnal herself has not long been in existence. Birthed only a year ago, Nocturnal is one of the first Gods to grace the planet of Eden. Nocturnal looked down at her people now, not amused. Nocturnal's people were ugly, hideous beyond compare. Not to mention incredibly stupid and savage as well. The puny mortal creatures were quarreling amongst themselves now. Nocturnal viewed such activities as unproductive, and held no interest at all in their affairs. However, Nocturnal frowned deeply; considering this a behavior that should be discouraged. A thunderous boom filled the huge cave chamber, signifying to the stupid creatures that Nocturnal was not pleased. They immediately stopped, relieving Nocturnal of her fretting.
The people of Nocturnal themselves barely had any culture at all. The extent of their art is crude drawings on the cave walls - mostly depicting themselves committing various sexual and obscene acts. Recently of late they have been depicting Nocturnal herself, indicated with large black squiggly lines. Even though they were blind, they could feel the rough texture on the cave rocks to know the shape of the crude art. They also had echo-vision, which didn't help much. Nocturnal first looked at such crude representations of herself with displeasure, but what can one do? She encouraged such creative endeavors regardless how crude and untasteful.
Nocturnal herself mostly appeared as a humanoid figure surrounded by cloaks, curtains and shadow. The shadow curtains constantly danced around Nocturnal gracefully as if they were darkness itself. Indeed, Nocturnal looked to be made out of living darkness and Dark Energy that possessed smooth humanoid limbs and a perfect facial structure; The flesh itself completely white. Nocturnal's idea of beauty. Nocturnal mostly appeared in this form, but other times when she was in the mood, she appeared as a very built masculine bipedal man creature with huge muscles - covered in fur with a beast head and a rather large male organ.
Nocturnal's people themselves acted very viciously and savage - even to each other. Small in number now, they were slowly starving to death. Nocturnal had to find them a food source and soon. For now, Nocturnal just transported them cattle to eat directly into the cave. The people were small in number. Nocturnal did not name them yet, but she had a few ideas. Vampyrium being one of them. Her people were tall, but did not have much muscle due to how malnourished they are. Nocturnal pitied them. They had large bat-like wings that allowed them to fly. The honestly looked more dead then alive, as if they existed in a state of undeath. Their skin totally white with open flesh and huge sharp canines, large pointy ears and talons; They were a fierce sight indeed.
Nocturnal had trouble communicating with them at first - until she realized that their choking, gurgling and growling sounds was their actual language. For a God, it was very easy to pick up on. She tried very hard to explain where she had come from to these young Vampyr. She tried to describe the island they lived on now, and then tried to make them picture travelling up and up into the sky and beyond, describing how small the planet shrunk the farther up you go. The Vampyr just didn't understand, and scratched their heads in confusion as Nocturnal tried to teach them this. Nocturnal sighed in frustration and eventually gave up. She decided to teach them basic things for now. She encouraged creative endeavors as much as possible.
While observing two Vampyr, Nocturnal witnessed something that moved her deeply. Two Vampyr held each other very close in an embrace - a show of affection. Nocturnal saw into their minds and was truly surprised how they both valued each other's existence. It would be called love in the Vampyr's rough language. Nocturnal watched the two as they mated. The closeness and the incredible attachment they felt towards each other shook Nocturnal. She has never felt these emotions before. She heard them declare their undying love for each other.
For a long time, Nocturnal brooded on these events, not wishing to be disturbed by the quaint creatures. She knew now that these people were worth protecting and saving.
Nocturnal, using her will alone, build them huts of stone. She showed them how to make crude tools so they could do it themselves. This seemed simple enough for them to understand, and soon a group of Vampyr began to work on making small rock bricks to build into huts. Nocturnal had to take special care though to make it very clear to them on how to structure a hut perfectly so that it wouldn't collapse in on itself. She had to repeat this a few times over before the creatures got the message. Nocturnal learned the names of the two Vampyr who shared a special bond with each other. Quaztitch' and Bj'i'kork. Nocturnal made a mental note to take special care after these two. She felt frustrated though at how dumb these creatures were. It made it very hard to communicate with them as they only knew simple phrases and could barely structure a sentence.
However, her first priority is to find them a source of food. Nocturnal knew that her people would have to travel out of the cave systems and into the open air. Nocturnal was slightly shamed to admit that being in the caves for so long made her quite agoraphobic. 'I'll just have to get over it.' She thought, flustered.
