The Xenom Desert
The Xenom Desert is exactly what it sounds like; a desolate wasteland. The few beings that dare to live in this ungodly environment are the fiercest of predators. Strange things still occur in the Xenom Desert, even through the decades after the wizard that resided in the Dark Spire died. The wind is still magically drawn towards the tower and despite the mirage-inducing heat, the tower is always visible. Be wary of wanderers in this desert, for they may be one of the many souls lost to the desert.
During the day, the Xenom Desert is hot and the sun blinding. Long exposure to this cruel sun can cause skin damage and delusions. During the equally devastating nights, the temperature drops to uncomfortably low levels and wind-chill brings it down even lower.
Any combination of combatants is applicable and the Xenom Desert is capable of hosting grand-scale battles, if needed. (Total limit: N/A)
"Those sands hold nothing for you traveler, lest what you seek is death." -A wise, native guide.
The Xenom Desert quest begins by finding the Sun Dial, a small, circular stone with an etched sun on it.
The Dark Spire
Located in the middle of the expansive Xenom desert, the Dark Spire was once host to an evil wizard and the land was once green and flourishing, but now there is but sand and heat. Those daring enough can venture into the tower, but none would be more foolish than those who venture into the depths of the tower. The tower stands a whopping three-hundred feet tall and with its black, reflective stones that made up the tower, it is clearly visible from any location within or near the desert. Another distinguishing factor about the spire is that all winds within the desert blow towards the spire, yet there is not a grain of sand to be found within sixty feet of the spire. The nearby ground is cracked and crumbling sandstone.
Within the tower lies thirty stories of desolate stone. Most of the floors are empty but some contain horrendous predators. The basement is accessible from the ground floor and the roof is a flat surface with no railings to prevent the unfortunate few from falling off.
The Dark Spire is suited for smaller encounters. Fights are best suited to five or less ways, due to the close quarters of the tower. (Total limit: 150)
"The spire?! Under no circumstance should you enter that place. The spirit of the wizard that lived there, once upon a time, is said to still reside there." -A wise tribe leader who disappeared hours after uttering this warning to a group of adventurers.
The Dark Spire story begins by entering the basement of the tower.
