"Wait! I'm really able to do just about any job, please just a little money!"
Chifuyu exclaimed to the shopkeepers passing by, but the man didn't seem to even acknowledge her, passing by as if not hearing a word. The day was young though, and one dense man wouldn't spoil it, so, she continued her daily routine of trying to find a way to feed herself. Any sort of income would do, finding work was the problem, physically any labor they could imagine she would be capable of, she was a former hero of the people after all, well, she was in her own mind. Her brother had now moved on to do bigger, better things and she could not accompany the great champion. But wallowing in the shadows would not solve anything so she simply adjusted her way of life, there was peace in the land now and that was all that mattered, but what would she become?
"I've gotta find a job! Becoming a hero may have not been my calling, so I'll just have to find out what that is. Whether it's a laborer, a servant, I don't care just give me something to do!"
Chifuyu spotted a man putting up, 'Help Wanted!' posters at his little food market, sprinting over and bowing low she awaited for acknowledgement. Which was unanswered as the man pouted looking through the empty horizon as the old man was desperately looking assistance, the shop was not very popular and needed help to get things going. From the distance a girl came skipping along, it wasn't Chifuyu, another girl from the town. She stood directly beside Chifuyu although, mimicking the bow and stating out loud that she "Wished to work here very much.". The man sighed in relief, opening the wooden door to the shop and allowing her in, and she stood there disappointed as no one seemed to notice her, less than usual today actually.
It was finally when she went to bang her fists against the now shut door, that she realized something was wrong. As she swung them towards the oaken surface, they passed through effortlessly as if she were a ghost, the shock was so frightening that actually stumbled forwards falling through the buildings wall and inside of it. The man was now showing the girl how to organize the shelves near door, Chifuyu was jealous of this as she didn't ever have the chance to work or experience a normal lifestyle. This, adding with the fact that she now questioned if she had died and became a spectral entity caused her to fall to her knees, breaking down and crying within the shop. And it is then when her knees began to sink through the floor. It was like falling, she felt as if she was no longer connected with anything around her, simply falling through it as if it weren't there. But finally she stopped, and seemed to float over no surface in particular, merely the non-existent void that should was within. She felt hopeless, her world had spiraled out of control in an instant, but was it really an instant? She had always felt that she was slowly fading away from the thoughts and sight from those around her, and now even the world. But a small glimmer of light arose within the dark, forming a rectangular shape and approaching her slowly.
She though as it resonated a faint glow right before her. It was strange, this turn of events but nothing else made sense anymore. After a brief consideration of her options, she realized the best choice was to open the door. And as such she leaning forward grabbing it's silver handle, and with a slight turn pressed it open,
